Chapter 9

CHAPTER NINE

IVYNA was busy working when she abruptly stopped taping in the keyboard of her computer as the phone next to her rang.

"Yes?" She answered the call.

"Brew me a black coffee and bring to my office." With that, the line ended.

She was as still as a stone as she heard what he said. She didn't move even a bit.

Who called her?

No other than the new CEO.

Because she agreed to be his secretary. Yes, she agreed. And now, she was regretting it.

She rose to her feet. July, who was preoccupied with her work, turned to look at her when she heard the sound of the chair.

"Where are you going?" she inquired.

Ivyna gave her a look. "The CEO has asked me to make him a cup of coffee."

"Oh?"

Ivyna didn't let her say anything else. She walked out of their room and went straight into the coffee area. She brewed him a cup of black coffee and brought to him.

She knocked on the door first beforr she entered.

"Here's your coffee."

Taese didn't even bother to look at her. He was preoccupied with signing the papers. So she walked over to him and quietly placed the coffee on his table.

When she was about to leave, he abruptly spoke up, causing her to come to a halt and face him once more.

"What?" She questioned. She didn't hear him clearly.

He then stopped singning and looked at her.

"I said, let's talk about you being my secretary."

She was taken aback becuase she met his dark eyes.

"O-Okay." She then walked through the sofa and sat down.

The office was deafeningly quiet for a few minutes.

He handed her a stack of papers. She took it from him in a befuddled manner.

"What's this?"

He rested himself to the chair and the ballpen he was holding, he played in his hands.

He leaned his back in the chair and played the ballpen with his fingers.

"Take a look."

Ivyna began scanning the papers. She finished reading in ten minutes. The paper was about her being his secretary. She understood each words written in the paper.

She then looked at him. "Can I borrow your pen?"

Without hesitation, he handed her the pen he was playing. Once she was holding the tip of the pen, he wouldn't let her touch the entire pen.

They're both holding the opposite tip of the pen.

Ivyna looked at him with a puzzled expression on her face.

"What?"

"Did you read what's inside of that paper?"

She nodded.

"Really?"

She nodded once more.

His lips curved a smirk. Then, he let go the pen. He leaned his back again to the chair.

Ivyna immediately signed in the last page of the paper.

"The paper says, once my grandfather back, you'll no longer my secretary."

"I read that part." She then handed him back his pen. "Here, thanks."

"Did you read the part which you can sex with me?"

"WHAT?!" As a result of what she had heard from him, she ceased placing the paper on his table.

He laughed at her reaction. "Kidding. Do you think I'm crazy to do such thing?"

"Yes."

He was stunned by what she responded. "What?"

She smiled. "Just kidding!" She then stood up. "Can I go back to my office now? I have a lot of work to do."

"Wait, there's more."

"Uh-huh? What is it?"

"Starting tomorrow you'll gonna work here. Inside my office."

Her eyes widened. "W-Why? I'm okay with my current workpalce. Why h-here?"

He placed his hand in his chin. " I thought you read the papers?"

"Yes, b-but I...I didn't read like that. And I-I don't like here."

"Why?"

"U-Uh... 'coz it is not comfortable to be here?"

"But you can't do anything about it. Starting tomorrow you'll gonna work here with me being my secretary. That's final. You can go."

Ivyna was in her deep thoughts as she went outside his office.

Ivyna arrived at the company earlier than she usually arrived. It was exactly eight o'clock in the morning. As usual, she greeted the guard before she went upstairs. She used stairs to burnt the breakfast she ate which is rice and hotdog.

When she finally reached the office, she got confused because the office was dark inside. It was like no one's inside.

'Was July didn't here yet?' She thought. 'Maybe! Aha! I came first!' She excitedly thought.

But when she opened the door, the excitement in her was gone. Becuase the room was empty. She saw nothing.

"Eh?" Her only reaction after seeing the empty room. "Am I entered the wrong room?"

She then looked above to see the room's name. It's theirs.

"I'm right. This is our room. But..." she then looked again inside. "...but why it's empty? Where's July? Our working tables? The computers? Everything? Where are they?"

Her mind stopped for a minute while scanning the whole empty room. Until she thought something.

"Oh! My! Gosh!" She shouted and then covered her mouth. "Was someone stole our things?! Oh! My! Gosh!"

She ran towards the east side of the floor. Where the head of their department's office was. Without knocking, she opened the door.

The nervousness she was feeling grew more as she saw the head of the department and the unknown girl was kissing right in front of her.

They didn't even stop when she entered. They didn't bother to stop and looked at her. Instead, they continued eating each other.

"Mr. Head of the department!" She shouted out of embrassment.

The two got startled. They stopped and looked at her but still the girl was on his top.

"Oh, Ivyna? Why? Do you need something?" the head asked.

"I just wanna ask why our office room was empty?"

"Office room?" He questioned.

"Yes!" She screamed and closed her eyes. "And for sake, please move away to each other."

But the head didn't listen to her. He thinks about her question fo a while bofre he answered her.

"Ah! You mean your old office?"

She frowned. "What do you mean by old office?"

"Didn't Mr. Villafuento informed you?"

"I-Informed me what?!"

"That you're going to work inside his office from now on until his grandfather comeback."

Her eyes widened. "What?!"

Taese was busy signing and checking the loaded papers in his table.

He then stroke his neck and continued reading. But he got startled when someone open the door of his office without knocking or informing him. The loud bang made him lost out of himself. The paper he was holding slipped in his hands and fell to the table and so the pen.

"Shit!" He mumbled.

While Ivyna, who entered the office, angrily walked toward him.

"I have something to talk to you—"

"Don't you have any manner?!" He exclaimed out of shocked. "There's a thing called knocking—"

But Ivyna didn't listen to him. "What's with you?!"

He frowned. "What's with me?!"

She slammed her hands in the table. "I told you, I don't wanna be here! I don't wanna work here with you!"

Taese caressed massaged his nape. He thought something bad happened to her.

Wait, wait?!

Does he concerned to her? No. Fvcking. Way.

"Sir, please let me work in my office. I'm begging." She begged. "And what do you do with July, my officemate? Did you fired her?"

"OH, FVCK! YOU'RE NOISY!" He stood up and moved away to the table. He then eyed her. "You can't do anything about it. I'm the boss here, I do what-fvking- I want!"

"But, sir—"

He walked towards her that's made Ivyna couldn't finish her words. They are now inched to each other.

Ivyna looked up at him. While Taese looked down at her.

"You. Can't. Do. Anything. About. It." He remarked all the words.

Ivyna got taken aback at his voice and stares. It was like hypnosing her.

Taese noticed her staring at him without uttering a word so he get that chance to speak up again.

"There!" He pointed out the corner where a tablr and computer was. "That's gonna be your workplace from now on."

Ivyna looked at it without moving her body. "But—"

"No more buts." He cut her off. "If you want to work here then work inside my office. You're my secretary, right? How can I call you if your office was 2 floor away from me?"

"I can do it—"

"No. Still, that doesn't change my mind. You will work here. Or should I fire your friend—"

"Hey!" Ivyna contracted. "I will do what you want! Just don't July involve here!"

He smiled. "It's settled then. You can start now." He pointed out the corner again.

Ivyna secretly rolled her eyes as she turned her back at him and walked toward her new workplace.

Taese watched her until she sat down. He saw her peeked a galnce at him but he just smiled.

Hours had passed.

The office was completely quiet. They're both focusing on their works. Not until someone knocked on the door.

Ivyna stood up and opened the door. A man showed up.

"Oh, the new secretary?" He asked.

"The old secretary?" She fired back.

The man chuckled.

"What do you want?"

"Ah, is Mr. Villafuento there?"

Before Ivyna could answer, Taese spoke up in his sit.

"Yes, why?"

The man's gazed drawn to him. "Ah, sir, Mr. Realado, wants you to meet him in the nearest restaurant."

Taese nodded. "Got it."

"Okay, sir, I'm going." The man looked at Ivyna. "Bye, new secretary."

She rolled her eyes. "Bye, old secretary." Then, she closed the door.

She was about to sit down again when Taese spoke up.

"Prepare yourself. We had meeting to attend."

"What?!" She looked at him. "I'm not going."

He frowned.

"B-Because...because its about time... The office hours will ened in a minute."

"But you're my secretary. You need to come with me."

"Taese!" Ivyna covered her mouth as she shouted his name.

Taese stunned hearing it. It was new to his ears that someone calling his name.

"What?!"

"I-I mean, Sir... I... don't wanna go—"

They both looked at the telephone when it rang. Taese answered it.

"Hello?" He answered. "I'm coming." Then, the call ended. "Let's go."

Ivyna couldn't do anything but to followed him. She was murmuring while she was at his behind. And Taese could heard all of it.

All the way, Ivyna was just stared outside the car. While Taese was busy in his phone. His parents was texting him again. And he just texted his grandfather to stop them.

They stopped at the nearest restaurant. It was elegant outisde. When they entered, Ivyna couldn't stop herself to amaze.

"Good evening, ma'am, sir, you have reservation?" Someone greeted.

"Yes, Mr. Realado."

"Ah, this way, sir, ma'am." She guided them.

They entered a VIP room. And then there was a man waiting for him. A mid forties man was sitting while drinking wine. He then looked at them.

"Oh, Mr. Villafuento, come."

"Mr. Realado." Taese said.

Instead, giving a hand to Taese, Mr. Realado looked at Ivyna who's still busy scanning the place. Taese noticed how his eyes shining looking at his secretary.

'H*rnydog.' He thought.

"Mr. Realado, this is MY secretary, Ivyna."

Hearing that, Ivyna stopped herself wondering and looked at the man.

"A-Ah, hello, good evening." She was caught off when she saw him examined her. "Mr. Realado, r-right."

"Ah, yeah, yeah." Mr. Realado didn't hesitate to extend his hand to her.

Taese rolled his eyes. 'What a gentleman.'

Ivyna accepted his hands.

"Sit down, sit down."

Ivyna nad Taese sat in front of him. While Mr. Realado couldn't take away his eyes to Ivyna.

The meeting went well. Mr. Realado accepted the proposal. Ivyna was happy becuase her first was succeed. But Taese was not happy at all. He could say that Mr. Realado accepted the proposal becuase of his secretary. That thought made him annoyed.
