Chapter 4 He's Your Brother?

Camilla Cortes’ Point of View:

“Are you absolutely sure that we’ll get in?”

“Yeah Nate said not to worry about it”

“Nate?” she questioned me “Is that the guy you met?”

“That’s him,” I replied just as I slipped on my dress.

“How do I look?” she asked as she twirled around for me to inspect her.

She was wearing a dark blue bodycon dress which fit her like a glove and showed her curves in all the right places. She also had on three-inch black strappy heels which complemented her outfit well. She did her hair in some beautiful loose curls that framed her face perfectly. She had on light makeup with a winged eyeliner which drew attention to her beautiful blue eyes. Her lips were coated in some light pink liquid lipstick and she completed her look with a black purse.

“You look amazing”

“Thanks,” she replied “and you my sexy little Spanish friend look smoking hot”

I beamed at her compliment as I ran my hands through my hair separating the curls. I was wearing a black bodycon dress with a sheer material at the back of it. My heels were also three inches long and were bright red to compliment my bright red lipstick which I paired with a smoky eye look. I had a red Gucci purse, one of the only name brands I owned which was actually a gift from my brother who lives in Spain.

Grabbing my purse, I turned to face Alex, “you ready?”

“As ready as I’ll ever be”

With that, we got our belongings ensuring that we both had our phones and cab fare. We had called an uber beforehand which was now waiting outside to take us. We locked up the apartment and quickly made our way outside. We climbed into our uber and we were off. It was about 15 minutes away and we sang to each other on the way there. We received weird looks from the driver and also other persons who were on the street. We didn’t mind though we knew we looked absolutely crazy and we’ve long ago accepted it. It’s in our nature to be this ridiculous and we loved it. We pulled up at the corner of the street and were about a foot away from the club. Alex and I gasped in awe when we saw the long line to enter the building. Alex paid the driver and we got out of the uber. I held Alex’s hand and pulled her along with me to join the line.

“We better get in,” Alex pouted as she stared at the line.

“Let me just call Nate and see if he’s already here”

She sighed, “Okay”

I opened my purse and began rummaging through it in search of my phone. A grin made its way on my face when I found it. I unlocked it quickly and searched for Nate’s contact. I swiped across the screen to initiate the call and waited until the dial tone went through. It rang for about 3 seconds until he picked him.

“Hello”

“Hey Nate, it's Camilla, the girl you met at the supermarket today”

“Camilla! Hey, what’s up?”

“Well, my friend and I are outside Club Electric…”

“You are? Great I’ll be right there, head to the front of the line”

I stared at the phone blankly as I realized that he hung up on me. Well, that went well. I walked over to Alex and placed my phone back into my bag.

“What did he say?” she asked as soon as I was close to her.

I sighed “he said we should go to the front of the line”

“Great! Let’s go,” she squealed pulling me along.

Needless to say, she was very excited. She’s always wanted to come to Club Electric, but it was like always jampacked and the line was always very long, so we’d normally go to a different club. I’m happy that I somehow managed to make this happen for her, even though Nate deserves all the credit.

We went all the way up to the front of the line, up to the entrance to the club which was blocked by two bouncers and a velvet rope. I couldn’t help but listen to the cries of protest from the people who were in the line. Some were yelling for us to go to the back, others were asking who we thought we were trying to cut past them, and others were mumbling under their breath. Alex didn’t give them the time of day and marched straight to the front with her head held high. By the time we were at the front the bouncer had let someone inside and had just closed the velvet rope.

I smiled nervously at them when they looked in our direction.

“Did you just come in front of all these people?” he asked coldly.

“W-w-well you see,” I stammered trying to make a coherent sentence.

“Nate said we could,” Alex piped up for me.

We bouncers exchanged looks before facing us again. I quickly put a smile on my face as I tried miserably to hide my nervousness.

“Is that so?” the taller bouncer asked menacingly.

“So it is,” a husky male voice spoke from behind the bouncers.

They moved to reveal Nate who looked impeccable in a white suit with a blue tie. I looked at Alex to find her gaping at Nate. Her eyes trailed him, shamelessly checking him out. I turned to face Nate to find him staring at Alex. I guess I was right. They do like each other.

“They’re with me,” he spoke softly extending a hand to Alex.

A grin made its way onto my face when I saw this. They look so cute together. Alex looked at me as if asking for permission, but she didn’t have to since I really had no romantic designs on Nate, especially after the way they just looked at each other. I nodded to her and she placed her hand in his allowing him to pull her to him and making their way inside. I followed behind them quietly as Nate led us to what I believe was the VIP section. He showed us to our seats and excused himself to go get his brother and also to get us some drinks. I smirked when I saw how his gaze lingered on Alex.

As soon as he was gone, I turned to face Alex who was already full on blushing. I had to shout a little for her to hear me over the music.

“So…. is it safe to say you guys are hitting it off?”

She grinned, “I don’t know it’s weird, we just met but I feel a connection to him”

“That’s awesome,” I really felt happy for her “I’m glad I brought you along”

“Ahem,” we turned to face Nate who had just placed our order on the table.

I froze when I saw who was standing right beside Nate, looking handsome in an all-black suit.

“Ladies this is my older brother Luke Williams”
