CHAPTER 64 - THE TWINS BIRTH
It’s been a month, since they returned from New York and since then Courtney had a constant contact with Sherina and Shannen. Most of the time they do video calls whenever Shannen’s twin did something new or Sherina who complained about her complicated love life with Martin. They became very close and Shannen always gives Courtney tips on how to raise twins and made her enroll to Lamaze class that she attended together with Ben.
Currently Ben is just finishing the final shelf for the built in cabinets when Courtney emerged from the room with a big rounded belly.
“I brought you some food.” Courtney is carrying the small tray on her hand.
“Hunny, I told you to let Roberta does that, you’re supposed to be resting.” Ben rushed to her side.
He was very proud to see that the mother of her sons are growing big that makes him love her even more.
Ever since Courtney’s passed the second trimester of her pregnancy she has been in and out of the hospital for light vaginal bleeding making her movement to minimal that even walking is with supervised. Ben became more careful with every single thing she does and he never leave out of her sight. She is now on her last term and two days ago she reached her 38 weeks so anytime they are expecting that she will give birth.
”I can’t just sit all day and watch you do all the hard work on this big house.” Courtney complained.
Ben bought a family house with big yard and big garden when they realized the flat will not be spacious and not environment wise enough for two kids to play around considering it’s on the top floor of the building. He gave his pad to Eric and decided to buy a house closer to her Montinis’ since Courtney wants to be near her parents especially with her mother.
“I know hun, but we need to be very careful now or these two will pop out before we even realized.” Ben rubbed her belly.
“I think that’s way better because I look like a huge whale and I can’t even see my feet anymore. I’m not even pretty anymore, my nose and hands are bigger.” She whined some more.
“You’re just pregnant with our two sons and one you’ve given birth you’ll get your bod my back, if you want I’ll join you to train.” Ben consoled her while wiping her tears.
“Do you still find me attractive on this huge state?” Courtney is softly sobbing.
“You will always be the most beautiful woman in my eyes and I will love you no matter what. As a matter of fact, I prefer you like this because it makes me so proud that you are carrying our children, so please stop crying okay?” Ben kissed her watermelon stomach.
“I think I’m not okay.” Courtney suddenly felt pain.
“Are you sick?” Ben got a worried look.
“No… I think my water broke.” She blurted out.
“Oh it’s okay… your water just broke… wait, what?!” He bolted from his position.
"Benj! Ahhhh!!" Courtney yelled and grabbed Ben’s arm forcefully.
Ben went ballistic after hearing Courtney’s replied, rushed towards the nursey room to grab the two baby bags filled with infant clothes and nappies. Good thing Courtney already prepared the bags a week ago so it was easy for Ben to take it when this scenario happens.
“Relax hun... breath....” Ben tried to practice the lambaste class they did.
“I can’t!! Ahhh its so painful!” She screamed again.
“I’ll get the car ready.” Ben rushed out of the nursery room in flash.
He doesn’t even have time to contact Courtney’s parent since he is more concern with his laboring fiancé inside the room.
“Ben! I fucking swear get your fuck ass up here and fucking get me!!” This was the first time that Court cursed in every word.
“Coming! Give me two minutes!” Ben yelled from the kitchen grabbing the car keys.
As soon as he got the key, he automatically opened the main gate using the remote so they can easily get out.
“Benjamin Venoso! Where the fuck are you?!” Courtney is really fuming.
Ben made it to the nursery room as soon as his last name was called. He immediately scooped Courtney and walked in speed motion but with outmost care. Inside the car, Ben never stopped giving encouragement to his fiancé even though he can tell that she was in deep pain every second.
“We’re almost there hunny, hang on.” Ben had to break the traffic rules just for them to get to the hospital as fast as they can.
Ben had the time to dial Arianna while they were on the road and asked to cascade the news. As soon as the car stop in front of the Emergency room, Ben called the attention of each staff saying his wife is going into labor. The Nurses was able to recognize them and immediately attends to them. Courtney was wheeled to the delivery room while gripping the hand of Ben.
“Let’s prep the mother and give me the vitals.” Doctor Sartori instructed.
Ben can’t hardly understand what the people in the room is talking about all he knows is Courtney is suffering from pain and he can’t even do anything but watch her go through the normal giving birth procedure even he suggested to take the Cesarean section.
"Courtney, I can see head now when I say push, you push okay?" The doctor ordered.
All Courtney could do was nod and wait for the signal for her to push. She was sweating so much and the pain is really not bearable she’s glad that Ben is there to support her all the way. He wipes her face and never complained even how tight she squeezed his hand.
“It’s so pain --- Ahhh!!” Courtney cried and yelled at the same time.
“I’m here for you.” Ben gave out encouragement words.
"Time to push, let’s do it… in one, two, three, push!" The Doctor ordered.
“Ahhh!” She hollered and pushed at the same time.
“You can do it hunny.” Ben cheered for her.
"Beeennn!!! I swear you are off limits for a year!!” She said between gritted teeth.
He felt his hand could be broken but Ben doesn't care because he can see how much hurt Courtney is more than him.
“Again, push for me Courtney, I can almost see the head.” Doctor Sartori said.
“Ahhhhhh!!" Courtney screamed at him.
"Give me a big push Courtney!" The Doctor demanded again.
Courtney keeps on doing the same routine and she swear the whole hospital heard her scream. With one final scream with mix of tears, the whole room began to hear the most angelic cry they can describe.
“Baby A is out!” Doctor Sartori showed the crying baby.
“Oh God!! Ahhh!!” Courtney hollered again.
“Okay, one more push to go and you can relax... one... two... three… push!” The Doctor demanded.
“Ahhhhhh!!" Courtney used all her energy for the last time.
“Baby B is finally out! Congratulations!” Doctor Sartori is now holding the other twin.
“Thank you Doctor.” Ben responded.
"Will you do the honor of cutting their cords Ben?" The Doctor offered and he eagerly cut it.
"Do you have the names ready for the babies?" The Nurse started cleaning our sons.
"First one is Allesandro Carlos and then Matteo Gabriel." Ben proudly claimed.
Courtney was able to finally relax when she saw glimpse of the twins being assisted by the Nurses to clean them up. Her mother was right as soon as you see your kid’s face and hear the, cry all your hard work is paid off. She was almost dosing off when he head Ben whispered something to her ear.
“Thank you for completing our family hunny. I love you so much." Ben saw her nod.
"I love you too, thank you." She finally closed her eyes.
