FORTY NINE
It's been a week since the baby shower and gender reveal party. Giovanni has been AWOL, Always disappearing every single time I set my eyes on him. He wakes up before me and comes back after I have gone asleep. I didn't know what to think about it and thought of confronting him but all he said was ' I need you to follow me somewhere this evening, dress formally ' before leaving the room.
I didn't want to think much of his secretive behavior but that didn't stop my mind from running wild. Was it because I had added weight and I don't look as sexy as I was for him.
Sighed.!
I got up from the bed to get ready. I walked to the bathroom, turning up the shower and immediately hopped in. I had an hour and thirty minutes to get ready.
I walked back inside the room once I was done showering, drying off my hair and body. I walked into the closet to look for a dress, shoes and other necessities, keeping them safely before taking my seat in front of the mirror to have my makeup done.
I did a very light make up, a little bit powder, mascara and nude lipstick. I wasn't a fan of heavy makeup, I always loved simple natural makeup. As for my hair, it was already dried. So I left it down, curling the tip.
After my hair and makeup were done, I assessed myself in the mirror for more time then stood up, picking up the blue Curtail dress, putting it on. I put on a silver stilettos, with a silver necklace and earrings, which made me look sophisticated. natural but still elegant. I looked at myself in the mirror, my head raised up in admiration.
I was already done getting ready when my phone pinged and I picked it up to see it was Giovanni telling me to meet him outside. I put my phone in my mini bag, before walking out of the room and out of the house to where Giovanni was.
" amore." He said, kissing my cheek
" Hi. "
" You look breathtaking. " he compliments and I blushed, letting out a quick thank you, complimenting him as well.
We got into the back seat of the car, with a driver at the front. The car started, driving away from the mansion.
" Where are we going? " I asked.
" Elegant, I made dinner reservations for the two of us." He smiled, holding my hand as the car continued to move, heading to our destination.
We got to our destination in no time. Giovanni got out to open the car door for me. I took his hand in mine and we walked into a fancy looking restaurant. A woman who appeared to be the Manager, bowed nervously when she saw Giovanni and I.
" Mr Reeves, it's a pleasure to have you here." She mumbled, getting just a heads nod from Giovanni. She gulped before speaking. " The room is ready. right this way please" she gestured with her hands for us to follow, leading us into an elevator.
She pressed the last button, standing at the far end of the elevator. The door ping and opened. We all stepped out in a corridor with a different set of doors. I'm guessing this is the VIP section.
She stopped at the last door, opening it before ushering us in. The room was beautifully arranged. At the middle was a table with a beautiful red table cloth with only two chairs opposite each other. There were flowers and candles surrounding it. But what caught my attention was the transparent glass, surrounding the room making it possible for anyone to see what was going on outside. It was dark outside with the streetlights on, enhancing the beauty of the room.
Giovanni pulled out a chair for me and I smiled, thanking him as I took my seat. He walked over to his seat.
," I will leave you, lovely couple to it, a waiter will be assigned to the room, he is going to be in charge of everything you need. " The manager said.
" Thank you. " I say to her as she bows, leaving the room.
It wasn't long after we heard a knock at the door before it opened and a woman in a waiter uniform walked him. He had in his hands a bottle of wine and two sets of glass cups.
