Chapter 12
Part 12
During this, there was a knock at the door.
"Veer?"she called He just hummed and continued his tortures on her neck.
"Veer there is someone," her sentence came with a moan..but he cared less..
"Veer please," she said helplessly.
"Fine," he groaned in frustration and went to open the door while Samaira hid inside the restroom.
Veer opened the door and found Samaira's dad. His eyes widened.
"Umm.. dad..you here?" asked Veer while stammering.
"Yeah, I was just asking if you were comfortable, right?" Pranit asked.
"Yeah, dad, I am comfortable, thank you," Veer replied.
"Ok, then good night," Pranit wished and turned towards the exit.
"Good night, dad," replied Veer, and he locked the door as he stepped out.
"Samaira, you can come outside," said Veer, and Samaira came outside.
"Now tell me everything," she asked impatiently.
"Not now, Samaira, please," he said, and sat on the bed.
"Ok," she also sat beside him.
"Veer, make me sleep, please," she said cutely, and he nodded smiling.
He made her lay down on the bed, and he himself laid down beside her and started caressing her hair. While she wrapped her arms around him and slept with a content smile on her face, our van was wide awake and he started thinking about all the things that had happened in these months.
Flashback..
Veer's pov..
So today I was so happy, as today was our first wedding anniversary. I couldn't believe that we kissed the previous night.. my first kiss, our first kiss...
I thought to spend the whole day with her.. but because of some important meetings I had to go to the office.
After my meeting, I went to a jewellery shop where I gave an order to make something special for Samaira.
I got a couple bracelet for us with our names joined; well, my friend suggested this to me. I didn't even know if she would like it or not.
And I also got her a heartbeat pendant.
I stepped inside the mansion and went straight to my room, but Samaira wasn't there. I also checked the washroom. Maybe she went to her parents' house.
After I freshened up, my eyes landed on a note that stuck to the mirror. I took the note and read
I am sorry, Veer. Please forgive your chota packet.
Sorry, why was she saying sorry to me?
I called her, but her phone was switched off. Then, because this couldn't be happening, I opened her cupboard, which was empty.
I ran downstairs and started shouting.
"Mom daadi"I shouted at the top of my voice.. and they came to the living room..
"Mom Daadi, where is Samaira?" I asked impatiently.
"She left," wtf dadi said, "huh?"
"Huh, what are you saying, daadi?" I asked, shocked.
"Yes, Veer, she left.. her dad took her away." "No, no, no, daadi was lying, she can't have left me."
"You know what Veer told me—that she hates you; she hates this marriage; she regrets marrying you," Daadi said to me. No, no, no, this was all a lie. Yeh sab jhoot hai.
"She insulted me, Veer, and her dad too," said Daadi. Samaira couldn't insult Dadi. She wasn't that type of girl, and Dadi (Pranit) was the best.
"Daadi, what are you saying?" I asked.
"Yess, veer, she left with her dad.." and a tear escaped from my eyes. "She told me that she doesn't want to see your face. She hates you to the core. She will send divorce papers soon," my sister said. She hated me, no, no, this was a lie, and divorce papers.. no, she couldn't divorce me..she was mine forever.
"Daadi, Kahan gyii woh (grandma, where has she gone?)" I asked.
"We don't know," said Dadi.
I didn't say anything and straightly went to my room and sat on the bed with a thud.. tears started forming in my eyes. She can't leave me. This was all a lie. I wanted to wake up from this nightmare. Chota packet, please come back.
I started thinking about our late-night movies. Ice cream treats and our Tom and Jerry fights
I need to call Sam's dad. I called him, but his phone was switched off. Now what to do?
I called my pa and told him to get all the information about Mehta's.
I got to know that they left for London... I tried every possible way to teach her, but everything went in vain.
Every day, daadi and mom curse Samaira.
Daadi and mom always told me that she hated me, but I know she wasn't. She was a pure soul, and she was just like a baby to me.
After 4months
I went to London and straightly went to Mehta Heights.
Well right now I was sitting in my sasurjii's (father in law's) cabin, waiting for my sasur jiiii (father in law).
"Are you here?" he asked with a shocked expression.
"Where is Samaira?" I asked without any hii-hii.
"None of your concern," he replied coldly.
"It is my concern, dad; she is my wife," I said a bit loudly.
"Wife, huh, your family.. tumhe pata bhi hai, kya kiya hai sabne samaira ke saath (do you even know what your family did with Samaira?)" while I stood there with a confused face.
"Dad, I don't know anything, but please make Samaira and I meet," she said. I said softly.
"Nahi veer tum jao yahan se (no veer, just go from here)" he shouted at me.
"Nahi dad, mujhe Samaira se milna hai (no dad, I want to meet with Samaira)," I said.
"Why do you want to meet her, huh?" Just because she is your wife, no she isn't; she was just the servant of that house. You didn't know anything about what your family did with her. "Then dad told me everything.. that daadi signed a deal with dad..and everything... At the end, I had tears in my eyes.
"I didn't sell her.. that was a mistake," dad cried.. daadi, you did very wrong. Daadi, very wrong.. you did a sin with an innocent soul...
"Dad, please let me meet her," I said, placing my hand on his shoulder.
"Nahi, please let her live peacefully." I know she wasn't in peace.. don't do this, dad, mujhe milna hai (I want to meet her).
"Veer please tum jao yahan se (veer just go from here)"
"Dad, don't do this please," I begged. "Dad, I didn't know anything yeh sab about our marriage, mujhe yeh deal, and all this is kuch nahi pata tha," I said.
"Just get out of here, Maki, I will not let you meet her," dad said sternly.
"Dad please"
"Out, I said out!" dad shouted.
"I am going, Dad. But ap usko mujhse durr nahi kar sakte.. ap aaoge mere pass uske liye, I am 100% sure (you can't take her away from me, you will come back to me for her, I am 100% sure). I shouted with a determined tone and left, wiping my tears harshly...

15 days passed in a jiffy. I tried to contact her but all in vain. I missed her. I missed her so much. Chota packet, please come back.
I was in my own dreamland thinking about us. Just then I heard a knock on my cabin.
"Come in," I said from inside.
"Dad, you're here." Omg, ami, I'm dreaming that dad is here (Samaira dad).
"Veer we need to talk," dad said, and I nodded..and made him sit on the couch.
"You won," she said, while I made a confused face.
"Huh?" This was all I could utter.
"You won't let Veer Samaira leave without you. ", "Oh myyy hot chocolate fudgee, was I dreaming?"
"Yess, veer, she is just living like a lifeless body; she isn't happy that Bubbly Samaira is just dead inside her; woh zyada baat nahi karti hai (she didn't talk much)"
"You both are made for each other..and I did wrong; taking her to London was such a wrong decision. I lost her. I lost my old Samaira. I lost my carefree, happy princess," dad cried.
"Dad, please don't cry," I said, giving him a glass of water.
"She is my daughter. I can do anything for her." "I gave her everything—new gadgets, a new car—but she don't need all these.. she needs you," my dad said, while I couldn't believe that he was the same man who told me to stay away from her...
"I want you to go to her.. stay with her.. I don't have any problem," while my heart flutters with joy.
"But she is not going back to that Singhania Mansion.. because your family treated her very badly," dad said.
"Dad, I am sorry from Dadi and Mom's side," I said.
"Either way, you are a nice guy.. but your family is pathetic and disgusting," she said while I stood there with my head hung low.
"Come with me to London and stay with her," dad said, and I looked up at him.
"Dad, I can't come today. I have an important meeting. I will come after 14 days," I said, and dad nodded.
"I am sorry, dad," I said, holding his hand as he stood to leave.
"No need to say sorry, but meri beti ko khush rakhega warna mar khayega (but keep my daughter happy otherwise I'll beat you"), my dad laughed in tears, and I smiled.
"I will, dad. I will keep her happy forever," I said as he hugged me.
"I am sorry," dad said, breaking the hug.
"Why are you saying sorry, dad?" I asked.
"It was my mistake." "I shouldn't have kept you both away from each other knowing you both suffered so much," dad said.
"Nahi dad, you don't need to say sorry," I said, and he smiled...
"Waise bhi, no one knows that you both are married, so it won't have any problem," dad said, and I nodded. Yes, our marriage was a secret. No one knew that we were married except our family.

I went to my house and straightly went to my room and started doing a happy dance. I was so happy. I so wanted to go to her right now and hide her in my arms.
But I couldn't because I was going to New York with Dad because of some important work.
Now I only have to wait 14 days and she will be with me forever.

As I came back from New York, I went to my room and slept for three hours. And then I packed my bags and went downstairs.
"Veer, where are you going?" Daadi asked.
"Yes, I am going somewhere, any problem?" I answered coldly.
"Veer, this is not the way to talk to your elders," mom scolded me.
"Mom, please not now," I replied in a bored tone.
"But, Veer, you just came from New York five hours ago," Daadi said.
"Yesss, this much travelling is bad for your health," mom said, caressing my cheeks.
"Mom, please let me go," I said.
"I know you are disturbed because of that bitch Samaira; that's why you hate staying at home," Daadi said while my palm curled into a fist.
"Yes, she is just a curse, a witch, and a self-centred girl," said mom, and that was it for me.
"Listen, mom, you are talking about my wife, and I am going to meet her, and you all can't stop me." I roared and left the mansion, leaving everyone baffled.

When I saw her after 5 months, her face was pale, but when she saw me, her eyes twinkled with joy, and that smile on her face was worth watching.
"You are everything to me," I said and kissed her forehead; she smiled in sleep, and I also slept hugging her tightly.
