Chapter 37
Sam's pov..
I freshened up and went outside in my bathrobe.
Saree? Saree? Saree? Now how will I wear the saree? I don't know anything.
Veer? I think I should call him! No, no, he must be busy in a meeting; I shouldn't disturb him like this.
Mom? Yes, mom, I should call my mother India.
I took my phone and called her.
"Hello?"
"Yes, doll, say."
"Mom, I need your help," I said.
"What help doll tell me?" awee, my sweetest mother India.
"Mom, actually Sasumom told me to wear a saree as Veer's nani is coming in the evening because she got to know about our wedding." I said over the phone call, "And I don't know how to wear a sari."
"Ok, I will teach you..no need to panic," mom said.
"Ok, then I am adding you to FaceTime," I said and hung up the phone.
I took Veer's iPad because I left mine at home and wanted to add Mom in FaceTime.
"Hiii mom," I wished her.
"What are you wearing, doll?" mom looked shocked seeing me in a blouse and jeans. I smiled sheepishly.
"Why are you wearing jeans?" "I mean, you have to wear an underskirt," mom said.
I nodded and wore the underskirt.
"At least remove the jeans," mom said.
"No mom, jeans are for emergencies. What if my saree got open in front of everyone?" I said with a horrified expression, and mom laughed.
(I wore a saree twice and jeans inside.)
"Ok, doll, first tuck the material," mom said, and I nodded.
I tried two, three times, but it's not happening.
"Mom, I can't." I made a crying face and sat on the bed with a thud.
"Dollar try once again." I am here okay, "mom said just then an idea came to mind.
"Leave it, mom, I'll manage," I said with a smirk.
"What a manage doll you don't know how to wear a saree, let me help you," said Hayee, my caring mother India.
"Mother India, you don't need to take tension; I'll manage." I said.."I'll call you after sometime." I cut the call and draped my saree somewhat and went straightly to Sasumom's room.
I knocked on the door, and she told me to come in.
"What is this sari?" she asked, seeing my saree, which was draped in a really pathetic way.
"Sasumom, I don't know how to wear a sari," I said casually, and I sat on the bed.
"What you don't know how to wear saree" I nodded positively listening her question..
"But today you have to wear a sari today," she said sternly...
"Well, Sasumom, I don't know how to wear a saree, so please help me drape this, or else I won't have any problem wearing jeans and a crop top in front of Nanijii," I said with a smirk, and she sighed.
"Stand straight," she said, and I nodded and stood straight.
"Accha sasumom sasurjii se apse shadi arrange ya love marriage hui thi," I asked much to her annoyance.
"Shut up, Samaira, and stop moving," she said sternly.
"Sasumom ap itni khadoos kyu ho," I asked her, and she glared at me in return.
(Mother-in-law, why are you so arrogant?)
She then helped me drape my saree neatly while I was annoying the hell out of her, sometimes singing some song or sometimes asking some nonsense questions.
"Thank you, Sasumom, this is looking very awesome," I said, twirling my red ruffle saree.
Then I went to my room and wore my red bangles and did makeup. I applied dark red lipstick. I left my hair open and filled her hairline with vermillion.
Damn, I am looking pretty. I twirled my saree twice and giggled.
I did face time with mom and dad and showed them my saree.
Just then I heard a knock. I opened the door to find Sasumom standing there.
"She is coming in 10 minutes, be ready," she said to me...
"Sasumom is your mother, and she is a Hitler like you," I asked, and she glared at me.
"Samaira, behave," she said sternly, and I nodded.
"Now come with me," she said, and left while I walked behind her.
After sometime the doorbell rang.
Sasumom went to open the door..while I stood silently like an obedient kid.
"Samaira, come here." Ayee hayee, how sweetly she called me.
"Coming, Sasumom," I replied sweetly, and I went to her.
"She is my mom and Veer's naani," Sasumom said.
"Namaste," I wished and touched her feet to take the blessing.
"Khush raho sada suhagan raho," she said and placed her palm on my hair.
(Stay blessed and stay happy.)
Oh my hair, it took too much time to style it... I quickly straightened myself.
"Tu Veer ki patni hai"; no, she is my wife, and I am his husband.
(So you are Veer's wife?)
"Yes, Nanijii," I said, giving my cheeky smile and showing my 32 teeth.
Nanijii means paternal grandmother.
"Naanijii, please sit; I am bringing tea for you," I said and went to the kitchen.
Damn, now I have to behave like an oh-so-sanskari bahu.
"Samaira bitiya main apka help kardu," said Raamu Kaka.
(Samaira, should I help you?)
"It's ok, Kaki, I can manage," I said softly, and I prepared tea for her and also snacks.
I went outside and served her tea and snacks.
"Teri shadi Veer se kab hui," she asked. "Ooh, actually, naaniji, we got married 3 years ago."
(When did you get married to Veer?)
I looked at Sasumom nervously. Now what will I answer to her question?
"Maa, first have tea, then we will talk later," Sasumom said, trying to divert her mind from this topic.
Just then the doorbell rang, and I went to open the door.
Veer's pov..
After completing my work, I went back to my home with Dad. I rang the bell, waiting for someone to open the door.
As the door opened, I got shocked and my eyes went wide seeing Samaira.
Am I dreaming?
Is she really wearing a saree?
Someone pinch me, please.
"Veer," she waved her hand in front of me, which brought me back to reality.
"Samaira, who's there?" I heard mom's voice.
"Veer and dad," she replied, and went inside the kitchen. Just then, I saw her sexy back..she is indeed looking sexy today...
control Veer Singhania
"Maanu tu aagaya" I heard Naani's voice..ooh, that's why she wore a saree today...
(Finally, you came.)
I went to Naani and touched her feet.
"Kaisa hai tu" she asked, cupping my cheeks.
(How are you?)
"I am perfectly fine. What about you?" I asked, sitting beside her.
Samaira came and served us tea.
"Veer apko kuch aur chahiye." I choked on my tea and started coughing badly. Freakkk, did she just call me "Ap" really?
(Do you want anything else?)
"Veer kya hua apko, please drink water," Samaira said sweetly, passing me a glass of water.
(What happened?)
Damn, she is giving me a heart attack today... "Yeh ap ap karte karte mera jaan le li"
She is behaving like a typical Indian wife.
"Naani, you sit here. I am coming after you freshen up," I said as I stood up.
"Samaira, come to my room. I need your help." I said and went upstairs to my room.
"Veer apne bulaya (Veer you called)," she said, stepping inside the room.
In a sec, I held her hand and pinned her to the wall.
"What is this ap ap thing, baby?" I asked huskily.
She encircled her hands around my neck and pulled me closer, saying, "Ap hamare swamijii hai isiliye hum apko izzat de rahe hai (you are my husband that's why I am giving you respect)"
"Damn Samaira," she laughed.
"Acting all sanskari, huh?" I asked and pulled her close by her waist.
"You know you are looking lal pataka today," I complimented naughtily, and she laughed.
(Lal pataka means red fire crackers.)
"Lal pataka? "Really Veer," she giggled.
"Go and freshen up. We will talk later," she said.
"Why are you in such a hurry, baby?" I asked, caressing her bare back and untying her string.
"Shameless," she slapped my hand..and I moved back.
"You ass Kitna problem se tie kiya tha maine," she said, glaring at me while trying to tie the string.
(You guess I tied my blouse with so much difficulty.)
"Wait, let me help you," I said, and she turned.
"Very, very, what are you doing?" she literally shouted as my fingers caressed her bare back.
"I am tying the string, baby," I said, acting all innocent, and placed a chaste kiss on her back.
"Urghh Veer not now," she said, being frustrated.
"Ok, fine," I tied the string and whispered in her ear, "tonight I will not leave you."
