GRACE'S;

It was a lovely day, the weather, the sun that spreads across your room, the bright afternoon, the cool breeze that brushes your skin. A lady named Mrs Grace had her hand wrapped around the handle of her bag with her flight ticket and passport, her lake blue stiletto heels making noises on the airport building's tiles.

She busied herself with her phone, getting a bit bored. Till she was informed to put her phone away by one of the plane attendants. After dropping her phone, she brought out a list, and a pen, before she started to jot down. She brushed the hair away from her face before proceeding.

She stared through the window at the dark blue ocean and inhaled. Today is the day she leaves London, back to her real home. She regretted so many things, and one of them was letting go of her daughter. She eloped with a man she knew could take care of her and give her the life that she wanted, thereby leaving her daughter with foster parents who could take care of her. She was young and stupid and didn't want to raise a child because she wasn't ready for it. Her work as a full-time slut was what exposed her to a bunch of wealthy men. Now...she looked at her ring, she was married to a man who cared about her and wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon, only that she remembered that she had a daughter in the US.

She regretted that she gave this girl no chance to even see her face. She just left. She rubbed her face. She would have to ask the foster parents for her well-being. What was she going to say exactly? Would her daughter even accept her back into her life. All that she did, she did for money. She didn't have that to take care of her little daughter. She didn't want to live a bounded life, sitting and tending to her daughter when she couldn't even fend for herself. So she gave her to people who needed her and knew they could take care of her.

That feeling of pain was still dark within her, to have left her daughter.

Since her ex-husband's death everything had gotten tough on them, she ran helter-skelter just to feed her little kids, and then found George, since he seemed good enough to take care of her kids. But she was wrong. London had actually helped her, for more than 10 years she had worked so hard to yield something productive from her hard work.

Started as a cleaner, then a club bartender, then a waitress, then a slut, to building a club with the money she had earned, and from there she built another club, before moving on to building a restaurant. None of this was an easy task for her, in fact, the pain she had to endure was far much worse than she expected, because at times she had to sleep without shelter, in the cold of the night, and in winter, and when the rain hit her skin harshly.

Tears rolled and dropped from her eyes like a waterfall, sweats of hard work flowing from her temples like a stream, her hair she'd had to tie a thousand times, and out of frustration cut it, to the middle length of her neck, just to hinder the disturbance. She had no other choice than to use all she could to make the money she wanted. If she hadn't she wouldn't be the married woman she was today.

Along the way, she faced a lot of challenges that not only made her feel like she was weak but had made her feel broken, as though she was never made to reach the top, as though she was to live a miserable life forever. But now she understood the reason she went through all that, those challenges weren't to break her, but to build her, to remould her life into a new, better one.

She was fortunate not to have given up when she was so close to reaching her destiny. People from around the world knew her, but not her story. In fact, nobody could stare at her appearance and say this woman has had a bitter past. Those who had looked down on her and had let her down, like her friend Manny, don't even have the guts to look her in the eyes. To say she was proud of herself was an understatement.

This time, she was going to take her daughter along with her, and would never allow her to leave her sight. Never again will she slip from her hands. Because now, she's got everything that she needs. A rich husband, wealth, work... just everything that could make her life comfortable. She just hoped that her daughter would let her back in and not push her away. She had heard of cases like that and she didn't want hers to be that way. Her daughter really mattered to her. She'd been a bad mother but...she would go to lengths to get her daughter back if it be needed. Her phone rang.

And this mother fucker on the run, there was no way she was letting him go free. Trying to use her for his simple needs and he believed that she would let him go, just like that? There was no fucking way she would allow it. He messed with her, messed with her dead ex-husband and almost messed with her daughter if not she'd thought fast enough to give her to foster parents. He would have used her daughter too. The memory of what the fucker did to her when she had absolutely nothing...the mockery he had made of her even to his friends, the shame he'd brought her...wasn't something she would ever forget.

"You found him?" She questioned.

"Yes, boss."

"Good." She'll never forget, the day he dared to rape her.

If she'd given up on herself she would still be at the same place she used to be. She wouldn't even have the chance to finally get her revenge.
