In love with my captor

Daciana slept for seven long hours, when she woke up,  it was already evening.

She felt a little alive again with the pain subsided just like the Alpha king  told her earlier.

She sat down on the bed and looked around the empty room. There was no Alpha Connor in the room. Her eyes darted to her thighs and she let out a deep sigh, not from pain but relief.

The wound still look fresh but it wasn't hurting like it was some hours ago. Thinking back to how Alpha Connor cut himself to give her his blood left her baffled with the unanswered questions that kept flooding her mind.

Why did he help her to the extent of hurting himself? It might sound foolish but those acts of his washed every of the hatred she had for him when he first brought her here forcefully as his sex slave.

It is weird how everything he made her pass through didn't bother her as much as the throbbing of her heart. She doesn't want to believe that she have developed a liking for someone like Alpha Connor, the man who despise her with so much passion.

It feels wrong but she can't also stop herself from liking him, how and when did she start liking the man that caused her so much pain?

The Alpha king might have been taking care of her but he might also change the next minute just like he had been since this past months they've been together. Right now, what he feels for her is a little bit of pity probably because she went to the wood because of him.

All her stay here, Daciana has been constantly reminded by him of the deep rooted hatred he, Alpha Connor has for her.

How can she stupidly like him when she knows clearly well that the feeling won't be reciprocated?

Daciana got out of the bed, since the Alpha king is not around, it is the right time for her to escape from him.

He is always fond of giving her pain after pleasure, seeing her here on his bed might end up igniting his fury.

As she step out of the room barefooted, her mind kept drifting to the big wolf she saw earlier. The wolf's blue eyes staring at her with worry and concern was imprinted in her memory, she couldn't get rid of it as much as she tried to.

She leisurely walk out of the king's bedroom into the living room but she stopped in her track when her eyes met with some maids lining up in the living room.

Her eyes look from one person to another in mystification until they landed on Lynne.

"Good evening Luna" they greeted simultaneously with a bow perplexing her the more. Daciana wasn't sure of what to do or how to react, she just stood there, staring at them like they were some kind of ghosts.

Her eyes stayed on Lynne questionably, waiting for her to explain why there were about ten maids in the Alpha king's living room. Did something happen to him?

The thought of that made her panic.

"I am glad you are finally awake Luna, the Alpha king instructed us to escort you to your new room" Lynne said, the smile on her face growing bigger but the confusion and frown on Daciana's face only deepened.

Why is she being moved to a new room? Is that why they are here? For how long have they been here knowing that she was asleep with none of them sure of when she would wake up?

After a while, her eyes roam around for Alpha Connor but he was nowhere to be found in there. Where is she being moved to?

Daciana hates dark and murky places, if the Alpha king wants to punish her for anything and he is moving her to a dark place then, she will be dead.

She bit her lips in defeat, she knew that Alpha Connor would change and torment her again after being sweet to her but she still feel sad about it.

Knowing that there is nothing she can do, she gulped down the lump that suddenly formed in her throat and then nodded her head with a small smile directed at Lynne while fidgeting with her fingers.

The maids paved way for her to go out first before following behind her, although Lynne fell into steps with her to lead the way.

"How do you feel?" Lynne asked while Daciana peek at her then smiled.

"Better" she replied. Lynne nodded her head and just like that, silence fell in as they walk to the other side of  Alpha King's quarters.

Soon, they stopped in front of a room. Lynne gently opened the door before allowing Daciana to step in first.

An unexpected gasp flew from her mouth the moment she took a step into the room. She wowed at how big and beautiful the room is.

It was beautifully decorated and has everything a female will need in it with a large bed in the middle of the room. From the window, the front view of the Alpha King's tower can be seen.

Daciana didn't know it is this beautiful until now, after looking around the room with admiration and longing in her eyes, she finally turned to face Lynne.

"Where is this? It's really beautiful" she said. Lynne smiled stepping forward.

"This is your new room Luna, I hope you like it. You can tell us if you need anything to be changed, it also has everything you need, like dresses and shoes" she explained pointing to a corner in the room where something like a wooden closet stood magnificently.

"My new room?" Daciana queried. Why? Why will the Alpha king ask them to prepare a room as this for her?

"Yes Luna, you are to select five out of them to serve you and of course, I am always at your service"

Lynne's explanation didn't do anything to help clear Daciana's confusion. Seeing that she is still  confused, Lynne spoke up again.

"Like I said earlier Luna, it is the Alpha King's order. Please do not be confused, I don't think he mean any harm this time around" she quickly defended.

Daciana slumped on the chair beside her new bed nodding her head and hoping that what Lynne said isn't the exact opposite of Alpha Connor's thoughts and reason behind moving her from the slave quarters.

Just at the mention of his name, she suddenly yearn for him, to see him and for him to hold her close like he did this afternoon.

"I do not want to be served by anyone" she voiced out, referring to the maids she is to select from. Why will they serve her when she is lowly ranked than them unless if it is viewed from her being the Alpha King slave's angle hence, she is just a slave.

To Daciana, being a maid is better than being a slave. Their job is to serve just the king, they wouldn't be looked down on or sold from one master to another like they would to slaves.

"I will take it as though you want me to make the selection for you Luna, I am sorry we can't go against the Alpha king" Lynne said and Daciana nodded her head wishing she can just ask him why he is doing this.

She wish she can ask him why he is being nice to her, she wish she can tell him to stop confusing her, to stop making her heart thunder with his acts when he will still end up hurting her again.

Even if he had told her that he wouldn't hurt her again, she can't bring herself to believe that knowing the kind of person Alpha Connor is.

His behaviour changes with the type of mood he is in.

"I will bring in dinner for you, you need to eat and gain more strength Luna" Lynne said turning towards the maids whose heads were bowed.

"You all can leave for now, I will do the selection later" she added. They left after another round of bow to both Daciana and Lynne.

"Alright Luna, your dinner will come in soon. Please take enough rest until then" Lynne commented turning to leave but halted when she heard Daciana's voice.

"Can I go out? I need to see Kaira" Daciana asked.

"You do not have to stress yourself, I will inform her to come see you right away"

"Thank you Lynne"

It wasn't up to ten minutes after Lynne left that Kaira showed up.

"My Queen" Kaira called the moment she got into the room. She flung herself on Daciana, hugging her tightly like her life depended on the hug.

"I am glad you came back my Queen, I was so worried about you" she said in an excited tone.

"I might have escaped from those human without dying but your hug right now might really kill me" Daciana teased while chuckling.

Kaira quickly removed her grip from Daciana, checking her body.

"I am so sorry, I was too thrilled to see you. Did I hurt you?" She asked as her eyes ransack Daciana's body.

"I was joking Kaira, don't fret over it. How are you?" Daciana asked gesturing her to seat on the bed since she already occupied the chair.

"I should be asking you that my Queen, how are you feeling? Is the injury on your neck still hurting?" She asked moving to touch it.

"Not as much as yesterday and this morning, I just feel a little pain now" Daciana replied, her lips curving into a smile remembering that it's all thanks to Alpha Connor she is feeling less pain.

It surprises her how his blood magically worked on her healing.  Why did he disappear before she could wake up? He could have let her have a glimpse of him, she felt sad thinking about it.

"Oh! I am glad to hear that, I am sorry I wasn't able to protect you my Queen, please forgive me" Kaira said, taking Daciana out of her thoughts.

"Don't blame yourself for what happened to me and live in guilt Kaira, I am sincerely not angry with you instead, I am grateful to you for standing by me and risking your life to protect me"

Kaira stared intensely at her Queen, she could see through Daciana like an open book. Behind her smile, there was sadness, worry and confusion. She frowned, walked from the bed and bent in front of her Queen while taking her hands in hers.

"What is the problem my Queen? Is anything bothering you?" She asked.

"I don't know Kaira, I suddenly long for the Alpha king. I know I should know my limit but I can't help it, I can't stop the feeling of him being close to me and liking that fact. Despite everything he has done to me,  the hatred in my heart for him keeps dying each passing seconds" Daciana paused, taking in a deep breath.

"My Queen–"

"I know, I know it's wrong. I know his heart has no warmth in them for me but deep and strong hatred yet, I can't stop wanting him" she cut off Kaira, this time, her tears were already dropping.

"It's crazy but I think I have falling in love with my captor"
