Secret Basement
Chapter 19
Gunshots rang and she jerked off from the table, her laptop falling and crashing.
That was actually a gunshot?
With widened eyes, she stood up and walked to the window.
She could see Soldiers running out of the mansion to fight the guys outside.
She stepped back, her body shaking.
A knock came on the door but she refused to open it.
"Ma'am it's me Rob, please open up. We have to bring you to safety first."
She ran to the door and opened it.
"Rob, what is going on?" She asked, but he sighed.
"Come with me Ma'am." He mumbled, and she nodded without hesitation.
There was no way, she was dying here.
Walking down some tunnels after the door had opened, she looked around..
This was a secret tunnel?
They got to a huge wall and she sighed.
"There's no way out." She said, but he chuckled... going over to the wall and pushing away a metal to see a palm print lock.
"Place your right palm there Ma'am, and go in. Don't come out till you're such you hear Boss's voice." He warned and she nodded.
Going over to the wall, she placed her palm and the wall shook before giving way for her to enter slowly.
When she entered the room, it closed back and she gasped.
It was not even a room but another house under the mansion.
She hit her head two times.
How could she have followed Rob without knowing if he was a good person or not.
"You're so foolish Ashley, but thank God he was a good person." She mumbled, walking to the couch and slumping down on it.
Was this the life she was going to be living till a year later?
Her eyes turned to the wall clock and she frowned.
It was already late, 7:48Pm was not early at all.
Shaking her head, and praying for her contracted husband and his men...she soon fell asleep.

Mikhail Mazza knew the risk he had taken to leave her in the house.
He knew the woman in his house, she would be scared but not scared as some other women.
Picking up his cell phone, he hissed..
"What the fuck do you mean Rob? Take her to the basement, I'll be there anytime soon." He hung up.
He should have known, the mole he was looking for, was right there in his home with his fúçking wife.
He'd make that bastard pay.
The phone rang again and with anger he picked it up and sighed.
"What the fuck is it Rob?"
"We had a mole Boss, and we've brought them down. They are five of them. Should I let Madam out now?" Rob asked.
"No, leave her there and keep those bastards alive."
He grabbed his coat, cutting off the call and walking to the car.
Seeing Crown at the restaurant, three things was registered into his head.
Either they man had left the southern border to cause trouble, or he was after something else..and that was Ashley.
He had never had a woman in his life, well part from Lora.
Lora was a bitch, something he had kept to pass time but Ashley was different..she would bear his child and up untill now, he was still wondering why he'd given her that silly condition but he would not go back on his word.
Driving the car in full speed, he was already close to the estate.
He made a U-Turn and stopped the car, just in front of the gate.
He could see Rob and others running towards him.
"Where are those bastards?" He asked.
"The basement."
"And my wife?"
"The secret basement." Rob whispered and he nodded.
Rob was his most trusted men, someone he grew up with and they only man he trusted with his life..well except Sammy who was dead of course.
Walking to the mansion, he opened the door and Rob got in too.
Nothing was misplaced, which meant the battle was not fierce.
"When the gunshots began, I had to take her there before she did anything stupid...Madam acts...."
Rob shut his mouth, with one look from him.
"Go and regroup the men, I'll be back." He mumbled, walking down the stairs and taking another route.
Placing his palm on the palm print, the wall slide open and he walked into the secret basement.
His eyes caught the slender figure on the couch, curled up as she slept soundly.
His woman was fearless, or maybe a little bit.
Walking to the couch, he took a seat beside her and she jerked.
"Hey." He mumbled, trying to sooth her back to sleep but she was already up.
Cleaning her blurry eyes, she looked up at him.. her eyes widened and she did the unexpected.
Mikhail's eyes widened when she jumped on him, hugging him as if she was so afraid.
"Hey." He cussed himself in his heart for being so soft.
"You..you didn't pick my calls, and the gunshots rang and you disconnected and I was so very worried....and I.."
"Ashley breath." He mumbled and she hissed.
"Don't tell me that." She hissed and he sighed.
His Firecracker was back.
"You left for five fúçking days Mikhail, didn't you know that you left someone in your house? I would not be worried? You might be a monster that wants everybody dead but I'm not Mikhail..I have a heart, unlike you..I do have a heart." She yelled, frustratedly.
"You're being delusional right now."
"And you're being a jerk, a monstrously Ill grown jerk!" She mumbled, shifting to hug him more.
"Is that the reason you're hugging me this tight Ashley Mazza? If I hadn't known better. I'd say you missed me so much." He huffed, and she sniffed pushing him away.
"I heard the gunshots." She mumbled again.
"That's my job. To take care of the city, you'll have to start crying a bucket full of water every time I go to war." He said and she scoffed.
"I wouldn't care if you die there." He chuckled at her words.
"Says the crybaby."
"You're soaked." She mumbled, biting her lower lip as she stared at the shirt that had clung to his hard muscles due to the sweat.
"No sweetheart, you're wet."
