Mission Failed
Chapter 23
Mikhail picked his glass of champagne and sipped a little of the drink.
He wasn't thirsty, but he just needed to calm his fúçking urge to go grab Ashley where she was sitting, giggling with they other women.
He was beginning to like they guy that sat in front of him, but trust was another thing and who knew what they woman were talking about.
Anyway, he let that one be.
"She's fine." He heard him say and turned to him.
"Huh?"
"Ashley is fine, don't you worry. Olive and her are very good friends." Bruce said, and he nodded.
"As I was saying, your father formal capo Luciano Mazza was like a father to me. He made my father they man he was before he died." Bruce said again.
"Does the name Ucy ring a bell?"
Mikhail could remember the name pretty well..
It was a sunny day, and it was one of those days Ashley Crook had intended to make his day hellish.
He had just left the school after making sure Ashley Crook had been punished for a certain mistake she'd done.
He found his father at the mansion's veranda, smoking a tobacco and talking to someone on the phone.
"Ha, how is Ucy doing? So sorry that I can't come to see how he'll win the cup today. Been so busy, even Mikhail had been doing some things lately to help. As you can see, this old man would still be sex feet under." His father laughed at his own words, giving Mikhail a smile when he frowned due to what he said.
"Hmm, I wish our boys would get to know each other as they grow up. Let's keep the business in family line."
Mikhail cracked his head and nodded.
"Hmm, I remember Dad forcing me to go to LA for Ucy's worldcup day..but I didn't cause a certain witch had interrupted my day." Mikhail said, and Bruce laughed.
"Yeah, that was what my and your Pops called me that time. I was the little Ucy." Bruce mumbled, and Mikhail nodded.
"I think it's time we leave Satan, we'll have a good time together next time." Bruce mumbled and up he was gone, walking over to they women.
Mikhail stood up and walked to the table as well.
"Hi women." He mumbled, and they lady called Olive gave him a smile.
"You married a fine woman, Ashley is the best you can ever find." Olive said, getting a hit from Ashley.
"Ouch, that hurt. I was just telling him the truth. Look, even the baby is angry that you hit her mother." Olive feigned her tears.
"I know." Was all Mikhail said, and she raised her head to look at him.
He winked at her.
Honestly, she didn't expect him to say a thing.
And what they hell did they two talk about together? She wondered, turning to give Bruce a cocky look.
"Say your goodbyes now Babe, we'll be leaving." Bruce mumbled to Olive and she smiled.
"Bye Ashley and Bye Ashley's husband?" Olive chuckled.
"You should have told her your name." Ashley said, watching their figure retreat.
"My name is not her business, besides how did you know them?" He asked.
"I told you about it remember, we went to LA for a church crusade and I was the soloist. I sang and we became friends before I even knew she was married to Bruce Wayne." Ashley said, sighing.
"Hmm. Come, we have something to do." He mumbled and she nodded.
Grabbing her hand, way was made for them and they both walked through.
"What are you up to Mikhail, something tells me it's not something good and I can feel it." She mumbled and he rolled her eyes.
"Can you stop talking Ash, it's take me a minute to snap your neck and leave you here." They were already at the hallway of the huge building.
"What are we doing here Mikhail?" She whispered, and he glared at her.
"Trust me leaving you over at the party would do me good to this mission, but there's no way you'd not get yourself into trouble with your unfiltered mouth." He said and she snorted.
"Can we just get this over with so we'll leave for home?" She heaved a deep breath.
They walked to a particular room and stood by the door.
"Stay here and wait for me." He mumbled, taking out a gun and cocking it.
Yeah, she knew he had a gun and it wasn't the first time she'd seen a gun but why was he cocking it?
It only meant one thing, he was here to kill someone.
Without waiting for her to say a thing, he clicked the door open and walked in, closing the door as be did without clicking the lock.
Mikhail Mazza didn't attend parties without a reason.
He knew Michael Jones would be dead sooner or later, why not do it sooner and give they man a peaceful sleep.
There was a long table in the room, eight chairs by each sides of the table and they man he wanted was sitting at the right side.
Michael Jones looked up and his eyes widened.
"Satan!" He jumped on his feet, stepping back as he did.
"Hmm." He hummed, stepping into the room and switching on the lights.
"I didn't do anything, please I've mercy." They man cried out, his knees reaching the ground.
"I didn't do anything? Please I've mercy? What exactly do you want mercy for..if you didn't do anything.?" He asked, chuckling.
"Please, I have a child and she's just ten years old. "
"She'll learn to live without you Jones, you should know by now..I don't forgive. You break a rule and you pay for it with your head." He shook his head, raising his gun and cocking the gun.
"Any last words, you know..for your ten year old daughter." He smiled, raising his brows.
"Please, I'll do anything. I'll make sure the bureaus stay out of the Cupo's back and..."
"Too late." He mumbled and just as he was about to pull the trigger, the door opened and Ashley stepped in with a widened eyes.
"Mikhail!!" He flinched, his eyes wide open as he stared at her.
His eyes left hers then to the gun he was holding.
"Get out!"
"Are you crazy? You almost shot him!" She blinked, staring at they man on the floor.
"Ashley."
She moved forward, grabbing the gun at the head and glaring at him.
"Are you testing me to see if I'd shoot? It takes a bullet to end you, you know." He chuckled and she huffed.
"Then pull the trigger, I want to see the monster in you."
Turning around to see if they man was still, she feigned a gasp.
"Oh, he's gone." She huffed and walked away.
Mikhail frowned.
Something was definitely wrong with his head!
