Chapter 33 I'll Do Everything
Ares didn't have time to prepare a meal this evening, so he and Kianna made the decision to eat dinner outside. The restaurant had lovely green and red neon lighting that was visible from the outside. As soon as they entered, a young hostess with a smile who was stylishly attired in all black greeted them and directed them to the table they had reserved. Their appetites are immediately whetted by the aroma of freshly prepared meals cooking in the kitchen. It was packed with people, and you could tell that it was bustling by the way the servers were interacting with the customers. To accommodate and gratify everyone in the greatest way must have been a really challenging task for them.
“Hon, this restaurant costs a fortune!” Kianna whispered at Ares as they were walking.
“Don’t worry. I just received a bonus. Let’s just enjoy this night, so don’t think about the bill.” Ares answered.
The room was filled with laughter as families enjoyed one another's company. As they took their seats, Kianna was able to take in the stunning scenery of the restaurant. The inside felt cozier because the walls, flooring, and ceiling were all composed of wood. The walls were decorated with artistic wall art, and the lighting fixtures were arranged to create a particularly cozy atmosphere. Soon, a young waiter with a friendly smile came over to their table, brought them the menu, and asked them nicely if they were comfortable where they were placed and if they would like to order any beverages, which they did. Within minutes, the drinks were delivered.
Kianna sipped on her iced cold drink to clear her palate as she tried to select which of the many interesting meals they should try. People were offered mouth-watering food while they waited for their meals. She turned to look around and noticed that every waiter was doing a fantastic job, some serving food and others asking customers whether they were satisfied with their meals and if they could assist them in any way.
“Hon, you don’t have any online loans, do you? I always feel that your daily expenses are much higher than mine. Also, Miaree said before that she saw in the magazine that the suit you were wearing the last time she saw you was hand-made in Italy,” Kianna innocently asked.
ARES
I was suddenly choked by what Kianna said. I hid my nervousness with a laugh. “How could it be possible? If I have so much money to buy such an expensive suit, I might as well travel with you! I don’t usually spend much money! And this time, I think you were being pressured in school, so I'm taking you out for a meal! Don’t girls like beautiful high-end restaurants?”
Kianna started laughing, “Oh no! As long as I think it’s delicious, then I am okay with it. You can take me anywhere you want. I am not a picky eater anyway."
“I see!” I scratched my head as I slipped through that critical question from my wife.
I no longer wear those common luxury brands. Suits are also high-level manual customization that ordinary people don’t know! How could her friend have noticed it?! No, I have to ask my secretary to prepare some ordinary suits for me! If Kianna finds out who I am...
“Hon... If, if I say, I become super rich, will you dislike me?” Ares suddenly asked.
Kianna widened her eyes as she heard that question from me. She didn’t take it seriously as she started laughing so hard. “You idiot! What are you talking about? How can people become rich all of a sudden?” She reached for my hair and petted it like a puppy. “I like you. It doesn’t matter if you are poor or rich.”
My wife is like an angel... I might as well tell her everything now! I should tell her who I am and that I fell in love with her eight years ago!

“Hey, Kianna Myst! What a coincidence! I can even meet you here!"
A voice from behind them stopped Ares from telling the truth to Kianna. The woman approached them wearing her sleeveless, sexy midi long velvet red dress with a side slit.
Asteria added, "You have just had an affair with Nathan Zac Ramirez and then you have hooked up with a new man. Aren’t you married? What a flirtatious woman you are! Aren’t you afraid of being caught by your husband? Is this how you live your life so that you can sustain your everyday needs, sister?”
The room felt like it was closing in around Ares. In his mind, he was growing larger and larger, expanding with rage. If he didn't do something fast to get himself under control, he’d explode and take out everyone and everything around him. Ares stood, his fists clenched by his sides, and rolled his shoulders back, glaring at Asteria. “Hey! I am not in the habit of beating women, so be nice to Kianna! Stop messing with her or I’ll make your life suffer from hell!”
Asteria was too stunned to speak. He was amazed by the beauty Ares held. This man looks handsome when he is angry. He looks a hundred times better than Vince… No! A billion times! I can’t believe Kianna Myst can date such a beautiful man! Asteria was puzzled.
“Oh, chill! I just care about my elder sister. She used to be a two-timer. Now she is married. I am afraid that she might get scolded for being unfaithful to her husband—”
Ares interjected. "I am Kianna’s husband. Is there any problem with the two of us dating? Besides, please mind your manners and don’t talk nonsense if you don't have any evidence.”
Ares' comments caused Asteria to feel humiliated. She gathers herself before continuing. “Oh, so you are my brother-in-law. I am so sorry. This is all a mistake. Please, enjoy yourselves. I got to go.” Asteria replied and immediately rushed outside the restaurant. “This guy is Kianna Myst's husband?! How could such a handsome and protective guy fall for her? Crap! I am jealous! She can never beat me!” Asteria mumbled as she was outside, looking back at the restaurant.

We just finished our meal and decided to go home. While on the road, I gathered myself to break the silence around us. “I am sorry about what happened… I am on bad terms with them. I didn’t expect that you look so gentle, yet you scare people every time. It’s kind of freaking me out. It feels like you are a different person.”
He glanced and smiled at me, “Because I am only gentle with you, my silly girl. I can be fiercer! I want to protect you from them! You are my wife!”
“It is very nice of you, Ares. Thank you!”
“Well… I must be good to my wife!”
I feel good now after saying what I wanted to say. But there is still one thing bothering my mind. “Well, I think Asteria will tell Dad what happened tonight…”
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“My dad texted me that since I am married, I should take you to our house to meet him. But my family’s situation is a little complicated. I am afraid that you might feel wronged. If you don’t want to go, don’t go, okay? You don’t have to…”
“Idiot, of course, I have to visit my father-in-law. No matter what situation you have with them, they are still your family. Don’t worry. I’ll be good to them, unless—”
“Don’t worry! I will also protect you!” I can’t take it anymore. I was about to cry...
