Chapter 36 Curiosity

KIA

I was walking home after a long and tiring day. The sultry air and dimming light from the sunset seemed to perfect the unostentatious feel of our small town. While walking I passed by a market, and that is when I remember that we were out of fresh milk in the refrigerator. As I entered the supermarket the guard welcomed me with a big smile. I smiled at him and walk toward the fresh milk section. I grabbed two since it is a buy one take one. I was about to pay when I suddenly notice some bread in the corner. I grabbed a shopping cart and placed my two fresh milk. While roaming around the market I didn't notice that my shopping cart is almost full.

I scratched my head as I walked toward the cashier. After paying all of it I decided to ride a tricycle all the way to our house. When I arrived in front of our home, I sighed heavily, pushing past the screen door and entering our small house. When I suddenly felt dizzy, I immediately grabbed the door handle and said, “Oh, I am maxed out. I don’t want to go to school anymore. I want to sleep on my bed all day doing nothing."

Wait— Did I just open the door? Why is it not locked? I made sure earlier, before going to school, that I locked the door!

I rushed inside, but piles of clothes were in my way. All of them are on the floor. Why is it so messy here?! Oh, God! A thief broke into my house!

"Help! There's a thief who entered my house! Help!" I was screaming hysterically. I don't have any idea what to do but scream for help. I heard someone running towards me. I grabbed the broom to use it to defend myself against the thief.

"Where?! Where is the thief?!"

"A-ares?! Why are you here? I thought you were a thief!" I can't believe that I acted like that for nothing. It turns out it's just my husband. "What are you doing here? I thought you were at work. And why are there so many clothes thrown out?"

Trying to figure out a way to explain everything he is doing, he scratches his head and says, "Well… I have some secondhand clothes and I want to donate them to the poor people in the street…"

ARES

Why did she get home today so early?! I was thinking about getting rid of these clothes from well-known brands while she is away.

"You frightened me. I was afraid it was a thief. Okay, let me help you then." She told me that she could help me.

Oh, no! Still, clothes have a lot of labels. No way! I can't ask her for help! She will figure it out!

She was shocked when I backed her up against the wall all of a sudden. Her eyes shone like stars, and her cheeks were turning red slowly. When she's shy, she looks so cute...

"What's the matter? Why aren't you putting your clothes away?" She stuttered as she spoke.

Now, there's no other way!

"I want to kiss you, honey..."

When Ares' lips got close to hers, she couldn't help but feel her heart skip a beat because he smelled so good. Kia's chest and stomach both started to feel warm. He washed over her like a wave of warmth as she parted her lips, curled her toes, and woke up all of her senses. The taste of him almost stopped her from thinking.

Her whole body started to itch. As his arms wrapped around her, it was almost too much to feel his body against hers. When her legs finally gave out, he pulled her close and took her mouth back with strong desire. When Kia realized that her fingers were under his shirt, they were already touching his smooth, warm skin. They were leaning against a wall, and it looked like time had stopped when they were there. Almost all of her thoughts stopped when she tasted him, and it warmed her toes, woke up all of her senses, and made her feel warm.

An old woman from next door ran into their house out of the blue "Kianna, are you okay?! Where is the burglar?! Where…" She stopped screaming as soon as she saw the two people kissing. "Wow, it turns out that this thief isn't like most... It steals kisses." The old woman made fun of Kianna and Ares by saying this.

Both of them got red. "I got it incorrect. Auntie, you're wrong! I'm sorry! I apologize!" Kianna said.

"Okay, you two! I gotta go. You should keep doing business there! "she said, and she left the house.

Because they are embarrassed, they just help each other finish cleaning all the clothes and put them all in a plastic bag. After half an hour, they finally get rid of all of Ares's expensive designer clothes, but Kianna still doesn't know that they were going to get rid of expensive designer clothes.

"Whoosh, the clothes are finally gone!" Ares said as he put his hand out.

"Since you sent away all your suits, do you still have any clothes for work?" Kianna asked with worry.

"Oh, yeah... I have completely forgotten about it."

"That's because you're too quick to act. Well, that's too bad. Maybe we should take some of those clothes. All of that is impossible to get rid of!" Kianna said, "I'm going to open the bag," but Ares stopped her right away.

"I'll do it later. Why don't we eat dinner first?" Ares said, "Go to the kitchen," and pushed Kia.

Kianna brought up Ares' job out of the blue while they were eating dinner. She was very interested in the Vueravista Company, and Ares's stories about it kept her very amused.

"What?...

Mhm… How about I bring your lunch there tomorrow?" When Kianna said that idea out of the blue, Ares' heart stopped for a second.
