#18 - Chapter 18: Rich and Powerful

After the Sorting Ceremony concluded, the new young witches and wizards became acquainted, chatting amongst themselves.

Ding, ding, ding!

"Attention, everyone!" Professor McGonagall tapped her spoon against her goblet, drawing the young witches' and wizards' attention.

At that moment, Professor Dumbledore stood up and introduced to all the young witches and wizards:

"This year, we have new faces joining our team of professors."

"One is Professor Moses Robert, who will be responsible for teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts."

As soon as he finished speaking, a middle-aged wizard stood up from the professors' table and waved to the young witches and wizards.

Scattered applause came from below.

The young witches and wizards were in lively discussion, and if you listened carefully, you would find that their discussion had nothing to do with this professor.

"What? He's the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor?"

"Shouldn't Professor Swan be responsible for Defense Against the Dark Arts?"

"Great! Professor Swan won't be in danger."

"Could it be that Professor Swan is responsible for teaching Quidditch? Sure enough, I should have enrolled a year later!"

After a pause, Dumbledore continued to introduce:

"The other is Professor Sebastian Swan, who will be responsible for teaching Muggle Studies."

"At the same time, he is also the Deputy Headmaster of Hogwarts, specifically responsible for the magic school's exchange affairs."

With a buzz, the Great Hall boiled over again.

The young witches and wizards all stood up and applauded desperately.

"Professor Swan! Professor Swan!"

"Professor! Can you teach us how to play Quidditch?"

"Professor! Can you sign an autograph for me?"

"Damn it! That's a third-year course. Why am I only in second year! I should have enrolled a year earlier!"

"Magic school exchange? What's that?"

Dumbledore smiled and raised both hands, pressing down.

"Okay, okay! I know you all like Professor Swan."

"There's a whole year ahead of you."

"I believe you will get along very well."

"Alright, let's give the stage to Professor Swan!"

"I think Professor Swan needs to show you how to use the alchemical items first, after all, there are some items that I didn't know how to use when I saw them for the first time."

Sebastian stood up amidst the enthusiastic applause. He walked to the front of the professors' table, faced the young witches and wizards with a smile, and said loudly:

"First of all, thank you for your affection for me."

He bowed slightly, giving the young witches and wizards a salute.

"Ahhh! The professor bowed to us!"

"He is a true gentleman!"

"He's really too handsome!"

When the voices of the young witches and wizards subsided slightly, Sebastian continued:

"To thank Hogwarts for giving me the opportunity."

"I, on behalf of Swan Alchemy, have donated some alchemical items to Hogwarts."

"I hope everyone likes them!"

"Next, I will quickly demonstrate the usage of various items to everyone, so you don't have to explore them yourselves when you return to your dormitories."

"After all, if I delay your sleep, the professors will come to me for trouble."

Sebastian smiled slightly, stretched out his wand and waved it gently at his handbag, and a palm-sized magic bed flew out from inside.

Under Sebastian's control, the magic bed returned to its normal size in the air and landed gently on the ground without making a sound.

Seeing this scene, the young witches and wizards clamored again.

"What's going on? Am I seeing things?"

"How did a palm-sized magic bed fly out of the professor's handbag and become so big?"

"Idiot! The professor's handbag must have been cast with an Undetectable Extension Charm."

"The magic bed was shrunk by the professor using a Shrinking Charm and then placed in the handbag."

Some of the older students saw what was going on, and they rushed to explain to the confused younger students, in order to show off their erudition.

Sebastian casually pointed and selected a lucky little audience member to be his model.

"What's your name?" Sebastian looked at the cute little boy in front of him and asked.

The little boy was very polite. He first bowed to Sebastian and then said:

"My name is Cedric Diggory, Professor. I'm in second year this year."

Oh!

This little guy is Cedric.

The future Hufflepuff Quidditch captain.

An honest and upright Mr. Nice Guy.

No wonder he's so polite.

Sebastian whispered a few words in Cedric's ear, then directed Cedric to sit on the bed, pulled the curtains from the inside, and only let him out after a while.

As soon as he came out, Cedric excitedly shouted, "It's amazing, Professor. As soon as I pulled up the curtains, I couldn't hear the sound outside."

"It's very dark inside, and I can't see the light outside either."

"However, according to your instructions, after I turned on the magic lamp at the top of the curtain, it wasn't dark at all, and I could even control the brightness of the magic lamp!"

Hearing Cedric's words, the young witches and wizards were extremely excited.

So advanced?!

Soundproof and lightproof, and there are lights inside!

Some of the young witches and wizards were so anxious that they scratched their heads and cheeks, wishing they could go up and experience it for themselves.

"Do you know how expensive this bed is?"

"My family bought a similar one at Swan Alchemy, and it cost almost a hundred Galleons!"

A magic bed costs nearly a hundred Galleons?!

Oh my God!

There are so many young witches and wizards present, one for each of them......

The young witches and wizards counted on their fingers, some couldn't figure it out.

Sebastian didn't care about the discussions of the young witches and wizards, he quickly introduced one alchemical item after another.

After introducing all the items, the young witches and wizards were already numb with shock.

Professor Swan is really outrageously rich!

How many Galleons would so many alchemical items cost?

As if afraid that the young witches and wizards were not shocked enough, Sebastian once again stretched out his wand and waved it at his handbag.

Dense items soared into the sky and flew towards the young witches and wizards.

Sebastian also thoughtfully added special effects with the Lumos Solem spell to these items, making them twinkle like stars.

It wasn't until each young witch and wizard had a shiny "star" in front of them that Sebastian removed the effect of the Lumos Solem spell.

The young witches and wizards looked intently and found that the items in front of each person were the same, a small badge.

The Gryffindor lion, the Slytherin snake, the Ravenclaw eagle, the Hufflepuff badger, and the capital letter "H" surrounded by these four animals in the middle.

Sebastian's voice slowly reached the ears of the young witches and wizards.

"Young witches and wizards, this is a gift that I am giving to each and every one of you."

"A gift unique to yourselves."

"A protective badge in the shape of the school badge."
