Chapter 428: Mahayana Buddhist Tripitaka

"Who is willing to follow my will, go to the West to worship Buddha and seek scriptures, and bring back the Tripitaka of Mahayana Buddhism?"

However, these people present are almost all dignitaries and are accustomed to a comfortable and comfortable life. How can they withstand the fatigue of traveling and traveling long distances?

"I am a poor monk who is not talented, but I am willing to go to the West for Your Majesty to obtain this Mahayana Buddhism, Tripitaka, and bring it back to protect our country forever."

"If Master can bring back this Tripitaka of Dharma, I am not afraid of the long journey and the long journey through mountains and rivers. I would like to become a brother with you."

"From today on, you are my royal brother."

"I don't know when my brother will set off."

Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty was very eager to obtain the true scriptures, and immediately asked Tang Xuanzang when he was going to leave.

"After I go back to the temple and take care of everything today, I can set off tomorrow."

Tang Xuanzang accurately told Tang Taizong the time of his departure.

On the morning of the second day, Tang Xuanzang had packed up all his things and came to Emperor Taizong to say goodbye.

However, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty had already prepared a farewell banquet for Tang Xuanzang and was waiting for Tang Xuanzang's arrival here.

When Tang Xuanzang arrived, Tang Taizong immediately took him to the banquet and bid farewell to him.

"Brother, do you have a nickname?"

"The Bodhisattva said at that time that there is Mahayana Buddhism in the west, Tripitaka, brother, you can use this as your nickname."

At this time, Emperor Taizong gave Tang Xuanzang an idea.

After hearing this, Tang Xuanzang did not refuse and thanked Tang Taizong.

The two exchanged feelings at the banquet. After the banquet, Tang Xuanzang bid farewell to Tang Taizong.

However, Tang Taizong held him back again and gave him a few things he had prepared for him.

The first thing was a purple gold alms bowl, which was specially used by Tang Xuanzang to make alms on weekdays. The second thing was a white thousand-mile horse, which was reserved for Tang Xuanzang to use when traveling.

After seeing these two things, Tang Xuanzang bowed to Emperor Taizong, and his gratitude was beyond words.

Then Tang Xuanzang rode on the white dragon horse and left Chang'an City with his luggage and headed west.

Since Tang Xuanzang left Chang'an City, when he met a village, he could still get a mouthful of hot food. When he couldn't find a village, he could only find some wild fruits in the woods to satisfy his hunger, or even starve.

Tang Xuanzang walked a long way like this, but when he arrived at the Five Elements Mountain, he met a hungry tiger on the road.

The tiger's stomach was already flat, and it was obvious that it had not eaten for a long time. When he saw Tang Monk, he seemed to see delicious food and rushed straight towards him.

Fortunately, the white horse was very fast, and the tiger had been hungry for a long time and had little physical strength, so he successfully escaped from the tiger's pursuit.

However, the white horse took him away in a panic, and when he stopped, he found that he had come to a dilapidated temple.

"Bodhisattva, if I encounter such dangers along the way, I don't know when I might be buried."

Tang Xuanzang found a statue of Bodhisattva in the dilapidated temple, so he knelt down, read a passage of scriptures to the statue of Bodhisattva, and began to complain to him.

"I have a way to help you solve this problem. There is a monster under the Five Elements Mountain. You go and rescue him. Let him be your disciple and protect you on your way to the West to obtain the scriptures."

At this time, the Bodhisattva statue in front of him suddenly appeared and answered Tang Xuanzang's doubts.

It turned out that after leaving Chang'an City, Guanyin Bodhisattva did not go far, but followed Tang Xuanzang and secretly observed his movements.
