Chapter 7
My eyes flutter open to the bright sunlight shining on my face, my body aching as I try to move as I realize I was not in my own bed. I thought that becoming a Pleasure Pet was just a dream but the events of last night flash in my mind. Prince Alekai harshly thrust his cock into me, my body moving against him as if possessed and my mind a wanton haze of pleasure. I lift the blanket, and tears fall from my eyes as I stare at my naked body, the hickeys and bite marks confirming his lips were all over me. But the glaring red stain of blood on the bed and sticky feeling on my legs confirmed that my virginity was taken by my owner. I cry silently, mourning my new life and the treatment I received last night, wondering what I should do next. Should I behave and accept my life as a pleasure pet, or should I fight and find my way to freedom? I lay in the large bed, thinking about my options while my sobs slowly die down, waiting for a sign of what to do.
“Miss Lyra.” A voice calls out, and I turn my head to see Elisa standing there, a sympathetic smile on her face as she moves closer to the bed with an outstretched hand.
“Why not soak in the bath for a bit and enjoy some breakfast in the water.” The Maid waits patiently for my answer, letting me decide what to do and giving me a bit of hope. I realize that even though my freedom is restricted, I can still make these small decisions for myself.
“Could we scent the water with a vanilla bubble bath?” I ask, seeing Elisa smiling wider at me.
“Of course, Miss Lyra, whatever you want!” She turns her head and gives orders to two more maids that I now see trailing behind her. I watch the ladies rush to the bathroom with a cart wafting the smell of food, which causes my stomach to growl.
“It’s just us two, dear. I can help you to the bathroom after sending everyone else out.” It seems like a peace offering in disguise that Elisa is sending my way, and I agree right away. The fewer people who see me in this condition, the better, in my opinion. I wait patiently, lying in bed while Elisa hums a tune and tidies the room. The two maids return and report to her, then leave, closing the doors behind them, leaving only Elisa and me in the room.
“Do you need help to stand?” Her concerned voice fills me with warmth, and I nod, slowly moving the blanket off me and sitting up with the maid's help. She lets me take a breath, readying her hands and allows me to use her as support to stand. My legs felt like jello, shaking from the sore muscles caused by last night. I whimper, leaning against Elisa with every step we took. It was a slow process to the bathroom, Elisa being patient with me as I walked carefully. The smell of vanilla tickles my nose the closer we get, and the thought of a soothing bath to help wash away the remnants of the night before brings a sense of comfort. I could not wait to wash away the events of last night from my body. My memory will be another thing to deal with altogether, though.
“Do you think you can climb into the bath by yourself?” Elisa asks as we reach the infinity tub. Again, I nod slowly, sitting on the edge of the tub and slowly placing each foot into the water before sliding myself in. I see a flicker of relief in the maid’s eyes before she turns away for a moment and walks towards a cart she pushes beside the tub where I can reach, the smell of food filling my nose.
“Take your time while we clean the room. If you need anything, just call for me and I will personally come to help you.” I thank her for settling into the bath and let the hot water soak my sore muscles. I hear her steps growing faint as she walks away, leaving me to myself. Although the food beside me smells heavenly, and I have a feeling that Ali had prepared it all for me, the thought of eating anything causes my stomach to churn. Instead, I close my eyes and allow the scent of vanilla to wrap around me while I let my mind wander.
…
“Miss Lyra?” A gentle voice and someone lightly shaking my shoulder jolts me awake, water splashing everywhere from my fright. I see Elisa chuckling beside me and another maid pushing the now-cold food out the door.
“Sorry, Miss Lyra, it’s just you were awfully quiet in here, and I was worried about you.” She apologizes, and I sigh.
“No, I am sorry for causing a mess. I guess I am just exhausted still,” I retort, leaning back against the tub and giving the maid a sad smile.
“I had a feeling that might be the case. The bed is remade with fresh linens if you want to finish washing and go back to sleep. No one would blame you for resting the whole day.” She suggests, and I quickly agree. My body needed sleep, and my mind needed a quiet day to absorb everything that happened in the least twenty-four hours. Elisa runs off again, giving me privacy to wash the remains of last night from my body, finding bruises, love bites and hickeys all over my body. I felt ashamed of what happened, even though it was not my fault. I sigh, finally making my way out of the bathtub just in time for Elisa to walk in and hand me a towel to dry off.
“I figured something comfortable is needed.” Elisa hands me a piece of clothing, and after unfolding it, I realize it’s a long, blue cotton nightgown. I smile and quickly dress, the soft cotton feeling like a warm hug on my skin.
“Where did you find this in the closet?” I ask as she helps me exit the bathroom, and we make our way to the bedroom. The bed sits pristine and cleaned, the evidence of last night long gone.
“In the back of your side of the closet. When you are up to it, feel free to look through your clothing,” she answers, helping me climb into bed where the scent of lavender and vanilla greets me. With a clean comforter and the warm scent, I feel my eyelids grow heavy while Elisa bids me a good rest. Just before I fall into dreamland, the door to the bedroom opens, and soft footsteps come
“Is she asleep?” His deep voice is quiet, echoing around the room, causing me to panic.
“She just dozed off, your Highness,” Elisa answers Prince Alekai. Shortly after, the door to the room closes, a sense of relief washing over me, thinking I am now left alone in the room. But the bed dips as someone sits behind me. I’m glad my back is towards the person as a hand gently runs through my damp hair.
“I’m sorry I hurt you, Lyra. I shouldn’t have.” His voice is a soft whisper as Prince Alekai apologizes to me. He must believe I am asleep while I try my best to maintain steady breathing. His hand caresses my hair while I wait patiently, too scared to fall asleep with the Prince in the room.
“You might hate me by now, and I understand that. I was an idiot. I wanted to claim you, and instead, I hurt you. I’m glad you are asleep and resting. You deserve it.” His hand stops, and the weight on the bed shifts. My heart beats fast, wondering what the Prince will do to me next, but the only thing I feel is a soft kiss on my cheek before he stands from the bed. His hand again caresses my hair before I feel him tuck the blanket around me.
“Sweet dreams Little Songbird. I promise not to hurt you ever again.” He whispers before his footsteps slowly fade away. The door to the room is open and shut once again, and I sigh with relief. I am finally alone, and the exhaustion takes over my perplexed mind as I fall asleep.
