Take a day off

My dad drove his car into a ditch last week, and I went to get the accident report today.

There are also some documents needed for insurance, and some miscellaneous things, which took a whole day.

I have some manuscripts for the new book, but not for the old one, so I can only take a day off, sorry.

My dad had stitches on his head, but there were no other major problems. The construction site didn't take any measures, and there was no road blocking. The slope was still very steep, and my dad was told that he could pass.
