Chapter 455 - The Blood Devourers and the Student Council

After making sure the Blood Prince had left, Chu Yunfan heaved a sigh of relief. The Blood Prince was terrifying.

The Blood Prince said that he could not do anything to Jiang Lingxiao. Chu Yunfan could not determine who was stronger between the two of them. After all, he was not in the Innate Stage yet, but Chu Yunfan regarded the Blood Prince as more dangerous than Jiang Lingxiao.

Jiang Lingxiao still had some misgivings because he needed to remain in the Federation.The Blood Prince was different. He was not a part of the Federation, so could attack without any scruples.

Chu Yunfan had been hiding in the Mountain River Diagram for two days. The palm strike that the Blood Prince had struck him with had long since healed. However, a solemn expression still appeared on his face. This was because of what the Blood Prince had said. The Monster Cult was organizing a huge conspiracy against the Federation. According to what the Blood Prince had said, many people knew about it and it was most likely an open conspiracy.

But if it was a conspiracy, the cult might be able to cause serious damage to the Federation without any warnings. However, if it was a well-known open conspiracy, then where did the cult get its confidence?

If it was a head-on clash of true strength, the Federation would only need one hand to knock the Monster Cult to the ground. The difference in strength between the two sides was like the difference between Heaven and Earth. There was no comparison.

But since the Blood Prince had said so, it was most likely true. Chu Yunfan did not believe that the Blood Prince would speak without thinking. In fact, there was no need to. After all, the Blood Prince had victory right within his grasp. No one knew that Chu Yunfan had such a method to escape. Hence, Chu Yunfan was worried about this conspiracy that no one knew what was going on.

After some thought, he concluded that it must be the reward for killing Gu Lang. The reward should have been split equally, but it was obvious that Sha Yingying and the others had given most of the credit to him.

Chu Yunfan did not object to this. It was as it should be. After all, he had put in a lot of effort and had stayed behind to cover the rear.

"Killing these traitors is indeed rewarding," Chu Yunfan muttered to himself. Under normal circumstances, there would not be many missions that would bring a freshman three million points.

Suddenly, Chu Yunfan's received a message on his terminal. It was not from one of his friends but a mass message sent by Federation University's student council. Every Federation University student would receive it as long as they were within a certain distance.

When Chu Yunfan read the message sent by Federation University, he immediately opened the encyclopedia to look up these Blood Devourers.

The Blood Devourers was a cult based in the Arctic Desert. The cult was just like its name suggested. It was extremely bloodthirsty but it was not really strong. The only expert that was well-known amongst the followers of the Blood Devourers was their cult master—a peak Acquired expert. Such a cult was considered common in the Arctic Desert. Not to mention when compared to the Federation, even when compared to the Monster Cult, the difference in strength was huge. The Blood Prince could easily single-handedly exterminate the Blood Devourers.

The Blood Devourers committed all sorts of crimes all over the Arctic Desert, but due to its small size, it did not attract the attention of the Federation. Even Federation University did not pay much attention to these Blood Devourers. However, they had not expected the Blood Devourers would be so audacious as to dare to participate in the monster siege that had taken place two weeks ago.

That siege had resulted in the death of over a million people in the Federation. The number of injured was several times more than this. The Federation had suffered heavy losses. Among the forces that were attacking the city, the monsters were the first to bear the brunt. Not a single one of them had survived, and behind this group of monsters, the Monster Cult was naturally the biggest mastermind behind the scenes.

After several hours, Chu Yunfan finally arrived at Bloodthirsty City. It was a huge city made of steel. At the topmost positions of the city were numerous huge turrets that looked extremely ferocious and terrifying from afar. However, these turrets seemed to be out of commission. They had collapsed. There was not even a single turret that could fire.

Chu Yunfan immediately understood that someone had hacked into the city's operating system!
