"Babe please do not agree." Esmeralda pleaded with him because she knows well that he is no match for Michael's men. She is aware that they are loaded with firearms and every one of them was a skilled fighter, compared to him, who was just a gentle businessman.

"As you wish babe." Victor became meek. The bodyguards thought that he was a coward.

"Thank you, babe." She hugged him and then turns to Michael.

"Michael, are you okay?" She apologized on behalf of her boyfriend.

Victor stared at them coldly. Esmeralda assisted Michael, which made him thank the so-called Victor in his heart. Because of his punch, he was held by Esmeralda.

The guests returned to where they stopped, and they happily chatted again. The atmosphere became happy and lively again. The planned announcement of their engagement was ruined, so it seems that they held a banquet for nothing.

"Honey, we prepared this simple party to welcome Esme's boyfriend, isn't it? How come you did not introduce him yet?"

" You saw the chaos right? He had hurt the CEO of MB Group. Do you think it is nice if we will introduce him now, knowing that he has a bad temper?"

" Well, okay. You have a point."

The party ended successfully but left the guests wondering what is the party for.

Esmeralda persuaded Victor to sleep in their home, but Victor gently refused.

"We will watch movies just like before. I miss you. "

She wonders why Victor seems to forget everything that happened in Centaurus City.

"I wish to be with you babe, but I have a Zoom meeting tonight. "

"Okay then. Call me as soon as you reached your place." Esmeralda sounds lonely as she held Victor's arm while they walk towards his car which was parked far from the villa.

"Be the way, How long do you know Michael?"

" Michael? I've known him since childhood. Why do you ask?"

"You might be the girl of his dreams. The way he looks at you is something I can never forget. He seems to devour you alive. Did you enjoy his kiss?" He asked while grabbing his car key, and pressing the remote. This question made Esmeralda's mind go blank so she let go of his arm and just stared at him with a slightly open mouth. Is this her boyfriend? She can't see any emotion in his eyes, and it's unnatural to ask such a question.

When Victor noticed her immediate silence, he looked at her and noticed that she was flustered. Without a second thought, he pinched her chin and lift up to face him. Esmeralda closed her eyes, expecting to be kissed.

"Did you enjoy his kiss?" Victor asked again. Esmeralda was surprised by his question. She felt the urge to slap him. This question is absurd! He should have avoided talking about it.

"What do you think?" she replied sarcastically as she rolled her eyes.

" I guess, you did enjoy it, and .." He lose control when he saw her luscious plump lips that is glistening under the pale moonlight. He lowered his head and kissed her torridly until it becomes passionate. He pulled her inside his car while kissing her continuously, and he closed the door. His car seat was reclined immediately. She was on top of him, so she feels awkward. Her thighs were exposed since the hem of her dress was lifted up to her belly, and she was straddling him. Her thighs were open wide and her undies were touching his torso. Her face became crimson red. She was about to move away from him but she felt his warm hands pull her thighs close to his.

"Esmeralda, do you love me?" Victor suddenly asks while looking at her disheveled hair. She was out of breath since she do not know how to breathe in between the kiss, so her chest was moving up and down. This look made him aroused. Esmeralda suddenly became stiff and her eyes became wide as saucers as she felt something hard move underneath her.

"Do you love me Esmeralda?" he asked with his tantalizing eyes focused on her. They lock gazes. Time froze as he wait for her answer. Esmeralda was confused.

"Why do you ask me ?" she was confused now. Why does this man behave like this? Is it because of Michael? Does he really think that they kissed?

"Just answer me honestly."

"Of course! I --" She was interrupted by a loud sound of a phone.

"Ring ..ring.. " his cellphone blinks repeatedly. He planned to ignore the call but it continuously rings.

Since it is in his pocket, he does not have a choice but to get up and let go of Esmeralda. She sat up beside him while fixing her clothes and hair. Before he press the accept button, he glanced at her. It was too late when he realized that his cellphone screen was directly facing her, and now she stares at it with mixed emotions.

On the screen is a woman named Charie..

"It's okay, receive it." She speak softly but wish in her heart that he will explain to her who was calling and introduce her. She can't remember anyone in Apple Blossom named Charie. Maybe she's a new employee? Or a new friend?

"Bye for now babe. Or.. do you wanna come with me?" He decided to drop the call, and try his best to coax her. On the other hand, by the time he canceled the call her heart was broken. Is he hiding something?

"Bye. Drive safely." She was about to open the car door but she was hugged by Victor.

"Goodnight!" he kissed her passionately, but this time, he seems like kissing a doll.

"What's wrong, babe?"

"Nothing. Maybe I'm just tired. I'll go back now." Victor was reluctant to part with her since he felt her coldness towards him. When she went out of the car, he followed her until halfway to the villa.

"Are you okay?" He said worriedly as he held her close to him.

"Yes, I am. Bye, babe. Just drive safely okay? Text me when you reach the hotel." She kissed his cheek and walked rapidly towards their home. Victor was left wondering. Why does he care when this woman changes her behavior? He never knew he was capable of feeling this way. It's strange, he thought. He went back to his car and looked towards the villa worriedly. But before he opened the car door, his cell phone rings again. He hastily answered it.

"What?! Isn't it I told you not to call me today? I am with her the whole day!" He almost yell in annoyance, and he ended the call right away, entered in his car and sped off.

In the dark, someone emerged from the bushes.
