Chapter 13
"Mr. Andy, please follow me right now at the cafe I just informed you about. Don't forget to bring the files I asked for the other day."
Here, in a cafe, Velove seems to be sitting alone. Coming home from catching her husband alone in his girlfriend's apartment, Velove chose to calm down for a while at a cafe. He had been sitting for an hour contemplating while sipping the Rapsberry Black Currant he ordered earlier.
There are feelings of annoyance, anger, hate, anger, all mixed together. If only injuring that innocent person or going to jail, he would really like to beat Darwin and his girlfriend to a pulp.
I don't know why her father could marry her to a jerk like that. Instead of being happy, he is suffering like now.
"Yesterday, you were allowed to make me cry. Now? Don't expect it! My tears are too precious for you. Just wait. I will repay you for what you did!"
Velove kept on reciting curses until he felt a little better. While waiting for his bodyguards to arrive, Velove's cellphone rang. Glancing, he saw Nathan's name appear on the screen.
Initially, Velove deliberately wanted to ignore. However, because he was afraid that his former co-worker would give an important report about work, he finally decided to accept the call.
"Yes, Nathan. What's wrong?"
"Velove, where are you? I've been looking for it since I wasn't at the office. There are some files that I need to confirm directly with you."
Velvet took a deep breath. I suddenly feel guilty. Nathan must be in the office really needing his help. To the extent that the man was looking for whereabouts like now.
"Nathan, I'm sorry if I didn't let you know first. I'm out on business. Maybe, after this is over, I'll come back."
"It's, Ok, Ve. Just relax. Then, have you had lunch yourself?"
"Done. Previously, I had lunch with Deasy."
"Thank goodness. I thought you were late for dinner again. If so, feel free to continue with your activities. See you later at the office. See you later."
As soon as the call was cut off, Velove sighed again and again. For the umpteenth time, she thought, why didn't God set her up with Nathan, who clearly loves and even cares for her. Why does it have to be Darwin? Why did that bastard have to be her husband?
Just kept pensive, Andy, who had been waiting for so long, finally arrived at the cafe. Velove invited a tall, tall man in a black shirt suit to sit down. At the same second, Andy immediately handed over the important files that Velove had previously requested.
"Everything has been put together in that folder, Mrs. Velove. You can check it right away. If something isn't clear, just ask."
Velvet nodded. He opened the file that Andy gave him just now. Read carefully and carefully to then understand in depth.
Prior to today, Velove had indeed ordered Andy to find out and investigate the background of Vicky, the woman who was in a relationship with her boyfriend. Just curious, what exactly is the woman's strengths that Darwin seems so infatuated with.
"Ah, apparently Vicky is marketing at an insurance company?" Velove muttered and was heard clearly by Andy. "Living alone and have no siblings at all."
"That's right, Mom," Andy nodded. "So, Vicky is actually an orphan. Both of his parents died when he was 15 years old. Previously, Vicky himself lived with his aunt who was a cafe singer. Only in the last two years has she moved to the Kartika Raya apartment."
Velvet nodded. Listen carefully to what Andy explained to him.
"Insurance marketing pays so much that you can buy a luxury apartment in Kartika Raya."
"From the results of my investigation, the apartment did not belong to Vicky, ma'am," said Andy.
"So, who owns the apartment? Rent? What about it?" inquired Velove curiously. For some reason, she was very enthusiastic about hearing and exploring the background of her husband's lover. If possible, he wanted to find Vicky's weaknesses to attack.
Hearing Velove's question, Andy then took out a piece of paper from another folder he was carrying. Handing it over to Velove, to be examined by his boss.
"Jesus," Velove exclaimed after reading what Andy had just handed in. "So, the apartment that Vicky lives in is now specially rented out by Darwin?"
Andy nodded.
"Prior to his assignment for some time in South Korea, Vicky still lived with his aunt. After Mr. Darwin returned and settled back in Indonesia, according to the news I got, Mrs. Velove's husband immediately rented out the apartment unit specifically for Vicky to live in until now."
"Nice..." Velove muttered. "That means the apartment you are currently living in is only for rent? It's not Darwin or Vicky who owns it, right?"
"That's right, mom," said Andy confidently.
Velove nodded his head. Pulling the corners of his lips, suddenly a plan flashed through his head.
"Then, after this I have some work that must be handled by Mr. Andy. I want it done today, no matter what."
"Ready, ma'am. I am ready at any time to receive orders from Mrs. Velove."
Velove then grinned sharply. It seemed that she couldn't wait to execute the plan she had just arranged and wanted to present it to her beloved husband immediately.

This morning, Darwin went to work feeling calm. Luckily, at breakfast earlier, he did not run into or be with Velove because his wife had left earlier.
As a result, once he arrived at the office, Darwin immediately executed the work he was waiting for. The first two hours, everything went smoothly without the slightest problem. Then in the next hour, suddenly the calm he was trying to build was slightly disturbed.
From outside, there was a knock on the door. Then soon, Darwin's eyes could catch the figure of a woman he knew so well stepping in. Followed by the sound of crying which of course made him panic instantly.
"Vicky, what are you doing?"
The woman named Vicky immediately quickened her steps to approach Darwin. Once his position was right in front of his lover, without the slightest hesitation he immediately burst into a hug.
"Darwin, help me," she sobbed. The woman's eyes were even puffy and swollen because she had probably been crying all this time.
Darwin who panicked slowly tried to calm down. Loosening the hug, the man asked again.
"Please what? What's wrong with you? Besides, why didn't you come here first?"
Vicky just kept sobbing. While holding his chest which felt tight, he took great pains to answer and at the same time explain the chronology of the problem he was experiencing.
"I just got fired," she squeaked, wiping away the tears.
"Fired?"
Vicky immediately nodded.
"I was even blacklisted by all the company's partners. So, it will be difficult to work elsewhere."
Darwin's eyebrows immediately knit together. He seemed confused by the problem that was befalling his lover.
"How come all of a sudden? What's wrong with you?"
"I'm not doing anything," said Velove. "And even worse, I was even kicked out of the apartment I live in now."
"What?!"
Darwin exclaimed in disbelief. How can his lover be evicted when he has already paid the rent for the apartment for the next two years. So, it is impossible for reasons of late payment let alone in arrears.
After all, when you think about it, why do these problems seem to come together or over and over again. It's just weird. Like something was wrong, he thought.
"What's going on here?"
"I don't know," Vicky replied weakly. "Suddenly I was kicked out. In fact, I was only given time today to pack. What should I do, Win. Where else do I want to live? Where is work also gone."
Darwin closed his eyes briefly. Massaging his temples slowly, the man kept thinking about what steps to take. Until not long, it crossed his mind to contact the owner of the apartment. Because he had already paid in full, he felt the need to clarify and ask for more explanation as to why Vicky was kicked out.
"You sit on the sofa first. Let me try calling the owner of the apartment. Who knows, maybe it's just a misunderstanding."
Vicky nodded then obeyed. While he was sitting on the sofa, Darwin quickly grabbed his cellphone and then called the apartment owner to ask for information.
"Hello, good afternoon, Mr. Bagas," greeted Darwin politely when the man on the other end answered the call he was calling.
"Good afternoon too, Mr. Darwin. Can I help you?"
"Look, sir. I want to clarify about the Lemondae tower apartment unit number 505 that I rented with you. The payment has already been paid. But why are the occupants asked to leave instead?"
"Ah, Darwin wants to ask about that? So, here's the thing. Initially, I rented apartment unit 505. However, yesterday someone made an offer to buy it at a high price. Since I'm basically looking for profit, of course I accepted the offer."
Hearing the explanation of the man on the other side, Darwin was furious. Of course he was angry because the owner of the apartment had done something he thought was arbitrary.
"But, Mr. Bagas, I have already paid for the next two years. How can a one-sided decision like this be made?"
"Yes, I'm sorry, Mr. Darwin. But, don't worry, I will return the rent in full to you."
"It's not a question of money. But, this is really sudden."
"It's called sustenance, sir," said Bagas. "After all, this is my apartment. So, I'd like to rent or sell it whenever I like. Besides that, it's rare for someone to buy it at a high price outside the market."
"If I may ask, who bought the apartment, sir?"
Darwin became curious himself. Actually, who is a rich man who has bought the apartment that Vicky lives in at a price above the market. While the normal price alone is very fantastic. That's why Darwin was only able to rent out the apartment unit instead of buying it for Vicky.
"The person who bought it was called Mrs. Velove Wijaya. That's it, sir, the only daughter of the famous Pak Darius Wijaya. I didn't expect that he would suddenly come and want to buy my apartment."
Darwin's throat constricted at that moment. He was stunned and shocked by the information he had just heard.
So without waiting for a long time let alone thinking much, Darwin immediately stepped out to go to Velove's room. He must quickly clarify what exactly his wife wants. While Vicky himself seemed to follow. Just keep following Darwin wherever he goes.
"Velove. We need to talk!"
Darwin, without the slightest excuse, just walked into his wife's room. In fact, at that time Velove and Nathan were working on an important task that had to be completed today.
"Pak Nathan," continued Darwin, deliberately reprimanding Nathan who was indeed sitting in front of his wife. "Could you take a minute? I want to have a serious talk with my wife."
Nathan smiled slightly then nodded. Rising, at that moment she chose to leave the room without the slightest desire to interfere with the problem that was going on between Velove and her husband.
"How dare you bring your mistress into my room!" Velove quipped openly while throwing a look of displeasure at Vicky. In fact, at the same second, he seemed to be reaching for the telephone that was on the table, then he was heard calling someone.
"Andrea, please call the head of security and ask to immediately come to my room right now."
Right after the Velove phone was replaced, the woman looked up. Staring sharply, even clearly showing an aura of hostility.
"Hurry! What are you going to say to my room?"
Darwin looked back at him and then conveyed the thoughts he had been trying to suppress.
"What do you mean by buying the apartment that Vicky lives in? I know you must be on purpose," said the man.
Velvet chuckled. Raising one eyebrow high, the woman replied casually as if innocent.
"It doesn't mean anything. I just want to waste my money. Besides, let alone an apartment, the pride of your lover, if I want it, I can buy it right now. But, unfortunately, he has no pride. Because if there is, how can it be dare to disturb someone's husband."
Darwin tightened his jaw. The man's hands clenched tightly in order to hold back anger. Velove's words, which were clearly condescending to Vicky, succeeded in provoking his emotions.
"Watch your mouth, Velove!"
"Why? You don't like it?"
"And I'm sure, you must be the one who made Vicky get fired from his office."
Without arguing in the slightest, Velove nodded. Justify what Darwin accuses him of.
"Of course. That's all I did. Let alone fire your lover from the company. Just end his life from this world if you want, I can do that."
Vicky, who was standing behind Darwin, immediately came closer. The woman's body was visibly shaking from the shock of hearing the threat Velove had just made.
Darwin, of course, immediately reacted. However, before he could speak, there was a knock on the door to Velove's room followed by two security guards entering and then facing him.
"Can I help you, ma'am?" asked one of them.
Velvet nodded. Bringing his finger then pointed at Vicky.
"Take that woman out of this building. Please remember her face well. In the future, I don't want to see her wandering around this office again, for whatever reason or purpose."
"Okay ma'am."
After the order echoed, the two security immediately asked Vicky in a kind way to get out of the Velove room.
Darwin, who did not have the heart, initially wanted to help. But, because he didn't want a commotion, he asked Vicky to obey and immediately went outside to follow where the security guards took him.
"Velove, you really are too much!" Darwin continued shortly after Vicky left his wife's room.
"That's nothing compared to what you've done to me all this time, Win. I warned you beforehand. However, you're the one who keeps looking for trouble with me. I told you, it's all nothing. If you want, I can do anything more than this to that beloved boyfriend of yours."
"Stop, Ven!" shook Darwin. His face looked serious staring at Velove. "I beg you enough. End your madness. Please don't bother Vicky anymore."
Velove laughed mockingly. Just as casually as her husband begged on behalf of another woman in front of her like now. What Darwin did just now made him even more annoyed and angry.
"Why? What's wrong with your beloved boyfriend? Even though I was just about to start this game."
"Ve, please. I beg you to stop," Darwin begged once again. For the first time after being involved in the cold war for so long, he asked and even begged Velove to stop his madness.
While Velove himself seemed to just keep laughing. For some reason, she felt happy and self-satisfied seeing the look of despair on her husband's face.
"You want me to stop?"
Darwin at that moment also nodded.
"Please stop all this."
"Sure," Velove said. "I'll quit. But on one condition."
Darwin took a deep breath. Suddenly, he didn't feel right. He was sure, there would be something big for him to do after this. But what can he do? He's in a tight position now. Instead of Vicky being injured or in a dangerous condition, it's better for her to give in.
"Okay. What conditions do you want to put forward?"
Velove tugged at the corners of his lips triumphantly. It's great that one of his plans is starting to come to fruition. Now, it remains only to execute the next plan.
