Chapter 28
"Win, can you be quiet or not? Calm down a bit, grandpa!" Randy scolded when she saw Darwin who looked very nervous in his seat.
Today, after receiving the news that Velove was hospitalized due to an accident, Samuel decided to invite Randy to visit her cousin's wife. At first, the two of them had talked for a while in the room.
However, when Velove and Darwin's parents came to visit, Samuel and Randy chose to wait in the hospital cafeteria. After going through some deliberations, Darwin and Velove finally decided to slowly tell their parents what happened.
Making sure the princess's condition was fine, Darius finally breathed a sigh of relief. And now, after his father-in-law and his parents left, Darwin decided to join Samuel and Randy at the cafeteria. After all, his wife was currently receiving visits from several office mates and co-workers.
"How can you be calm. You don't know that in the inpatient room there is a former Velove with friends and other office kids who come to visit."
"Yes, so what if there is an ex and his best friend visiting?" asked Randy with a confused look.
Darwin snorted indignantly. Apparently Randy did not understand what she was complaining about. But, it seems that it is also natural for his cousin to ask. After all, he didn't say anything yet.
"You just don't know, Velove's best friend whose name is Deasy is really hot. From the start, it was predictable that he really didn't like me. What's my hobby of provoking and deliberately provoking Velove."
Samuel chuckled hearing Darwin's story. From his face alone, he could tell that his cousin was really upset.
"Didn't Randy also like provoking your relationship with Velove?"
Darwin nodded in agreement.
"Yes, Randy is really shit. But, it's still a different class, Ken. It's better for Randy to go everywhere," defended Darwin. Incredibly, the man also confirmed what Randy had done. In fact, usually the two of them are exactly like a cat and a dog when they are engaged in conversation.
"How about it? We're both stoves, right?"
"Still not the same," said Darwin. Taking a deep breath, the man continued his sentence. "I admit, Randy has been deliberately provoking so that my relationship with Velove can continue like you and Luna, right? Always compromising so I can slowly learn to accept Velove sincerely," explained the man. "But, this Deasy is very different, Ken."
Samuel's brow furrowed. The longer he was more and more curious about what his cousin meant.
"How is this Deasy?"
"He deliberately put Velove together so he could get back together with Nathan."
Samuel chuckled lightly. With a chuckle, the man doubted Darwin's words. Who knows, his cousin's assumptions are exaggerated.
"Where do you know? Don't just accuse me, Win."
"I don't accuse you carelessly, let alone slander, Ken. You know what kind of person I am, right? Besides, yesterday when Deasy visited, I overheard her chatting with Velove."
"You have a new hobby now, don't you? You really like eavesdropping on people's conversations," joked Randy after listening for a few moments.
"Not eavesdropping. This is really not on purpose, Ran," Darwin sighed annoyed. "So, I don't know how it started, it can be concluded that Velove might have confided in Deasy about our six-month marriage agreement. Then without Velove's knowledge, Deasy instead told Nathan, whose status here is his ex and still hopes to get back together with him. Velvet."
"Wow, it's really bad when it's like this," Samuel exclaimed. The man was ready to throw various kinds of arguments in his head.
So far, Samuel is a neutral figure. However, he often gave advice to Darwin about his cousin's marriage. And if Darwin makes a mistake, he doesn't hesitate to reprimand him. Not solely because of the family, then justifying Darwin's mistakes.
"Actually, it's not wrong if Velove wants to confide in Deasy," continued Samuel. "However, it would be wrong if Deasy continued Velove's story with Nathan. Whatever the reason, the reason is still not justified."
Darwin snapped his fingers in the air. As usual, he totally agreed with what his cousin said.
"Well! This is what really annoys me. He's only a friend. It's really not ethical to talk about our household to other people."
"It could be that he supports Nathan for many reasons, Win," guessed Randy. The man tried to untangle the problem that was happening. "Firstly, maybe because he first knew Nathan. From personality, everyday life, good and bad character. Second, maybe Velove had told Deasy about your bad behavior. So, as a friend, he doesn't like and doesn't accept when you treat him. Velove arbitrarily. That's why, thinking that because before Nathan was better than you, he agreed that Velove would return to his previous girlfriend."
"But, still, Ran. What Deasy did cannot be justified. It was my turn to make a mistake and was immediately scrutinized. However, her behavior seemed to support Velove in establishing a relationship with Nathan behind my back. It's called a double standard. Even if he wants to support Velove's relationship with Nathan, can it be done later when the two of us are officially separated?"
Randi nodded. He understood exactly what Darwin was feeling right now. While his cousin was trying to keep his promise by carrying out the commitments that had been agreed upon, another party appeared who deliberately made the situation worse. Randy was sure, anyone would feel annoyed.
"Yes, that's wrong, though. Even if in the end your relationship still ends up separating, it's better for Deasy if you want to match Velove with Nathan, wait for the two of you to divorce first. Not right now. Later, she'll end up having an affair."
"That's why I'm so bored!"
Rand took a deep breath. Lazy to continue the debate, the man chose to end the conversation.
"Yes, tomorrow you just discuss with Velove how good it is. I'm sure, he must have personally given a warning as well. I personally hope that everything can be resolved well without the need for fights."

After escorting Samuel and Randy to the lobby, Darwin went straight to the administration room to complete all kinds of payments. Because the doctor had confirmed that Velove's condition was 100% safe and sound, Darwin decided not to delay their return schedule any longer.
Finished redeeming the medicine and all kinds, he decided to immediately return to the room. Entering the room, he could see colleagues from the Khiel Group, including Nathan, who had previously come to visit, was already preparing to go home.
"Ms. Velove, get well soon. We pray that you can return to the office soon," said a representative employee from the finance division.
"Thank you very much Alma for visiting you and other friends. Hopefully in the next few days I can return to the office soon."
It wasn't just representatives from several divisions who said goodbye. Before going home, Nathan also gave a bucket of flowers directly to Velove while saying a few prayers for his ex-girlfriend. And of course this treatment did not escape Darwin's sight.
Finished saying goodbye, everyone without exception immediately left the room. Leaving Darwin who immediately stepped towards the cupboard. Take a suitcase, to then pack.
"Are we going home today?" asked Velove to make sure.
"Yeah, I've taken care of everything too. You wait a moment. Let me pack up your things in the cupboard first."
Because there wasn't too much luggage, it only took Darwin less than five minutes to pack. He also tidied up some of the gifts given by guests to take home.
However, there is one thing that makes Velove flabbergasted. Out of the many gifts, only the flowers that Nathan gave Darwin seemed to have deliberately left.
"Why aren't the flowers in the bag, Win?" asked Velove deliberately.
"No need. If I look around, the flowers are ugly too. Besides, it's not the time to give gifts of roses today, Ve."
Velove growled in annoyance. For some reason, Darwin was always sensitive whenever he heard anything related to Nathan.
"Though the flowers are good, Win."
"What's good? That's bad."
"Who said ugly? Just so you know, white roses are my favorite," Velove chuckled, not accepting it.
Darwin stared at Velove closely. Nodding, the man replied.
"Oh, so white roses are your favorite?"
"Yes. That's why you left it."
"Okay, no need to protest by asking why everyone left. Tomorrow, I will make a garden of white roses behind the house so you will be happy."
Velove rolled his eyeballs lazily. But soon he was laughing. It's funny to see Darwin's expression of dislike.
As soon as the nurse who brought the wheelchair arrived, Darwin immediately helped support Velove's body to move from the bed to immediately sit in the wheelchair. Then casually the man took his wife to his car which was parked in the lobby, then immediately went home.
"Does your leg still hurt or can you walk alone?" Darwin asked when they arrived at the front of the house. Before actually getting out of the car, Darwin confirmed once again the condition of his wife.
"It still hurts. It's just not as bad as yesterday. You can help hold my hand so it's easy to walk to the room."
Darwin nodded. The man then helped open the seat belt that was wrapped around Velove's body. Once it was all open, he continued down first. Then lead the wife to slowly get out of the car.
"Be careful. Don't rush out," Darwin said while helping to reach Velove's body until he finally got out of the car.
Velove thought that after he could stand outside the car, Darwin would slowly lead him to be able to walk towards the room. However, unexpectedly, her husband even without permission to carry her body and then brought to the room.
"Ma'am Reni, is the room ready?" asked Darwin as he climbed the stairs to the second floor.
"Yes sir," Reni said as she followed Darwin into the room. "I have cleaned everything according to your father's orders."
Darwin nodded. Once in front of the room, Reni swiftly helped open the door. Believing that his two masters had entered, he hastily closed the door tightly. Then afterwards choose to go back down to the first floor to then continue the work.
Velove himself, who was still being carried, was amazed. Of course he wondered why Darwin took him to the man's room instead.
"Oh, why was I even brought here?"
Darwin didn't answer right away. Choose to lay Velove on the bed first. Making sure his wife was in a comfortable position, then he sat on the side of the bed while answering the questions given.
"Because you're having trouble walking, I think it's best for you to sleep in my room for a while. So, if you need anything, you can ask me for help right away."
Velove gasped. For God's sake, he never thought that Darwin would care so much about him.
"I'm fine. In my own room it shouldn't be a problem."
Darwin shook his head. He disagreed with Velove's argument. He didn't want anything bad to happen to Velove again.
"Just stand and walk alone, you're not that strong yet, Ve. Besides, this isn't forever either. Until your condition is completely recovered."
"But ----"
"Yeah," Darwin cut in quickly. "You don't need to protest too much. It's really hard to just live it. You don't need to worry. I won't mess with you either."
Velvet chuckled. Seeing the sincerity in her husband's eyes, she finally agreed to sleep with Darwin in the next few nights in the man's room.
