Chapter 44
After screaming with all his might, instead of being released, Darrell even laughed even more as if he didn't have the slightest fear. Bringing his free hand, the man then covered Velove's mouth. While one other hand seemed to hold the beautiful woman's body from moving to and fro.
Tonight, Darrell is determined to conquer a Velove. From the first time she came to the party, he had noticed her and wanted to touch her body.
"I told you before, no one will hear your screams, Ve. No one will help you either."
Velove seemed to shake his head while thrashing. Trying so hard to escape from Darrell's embrace. But, honey. The size of the man's posture, made Velove lose power.
"Husstts," Darrell hissed with a scary facial expression. The man grinned sharply. As if it wanted to devour Velove alive. "What's so hard to enjoy? Besides, I want to invite you to have fun. As long as you know, of all the guests who have come, you're the only one that catches my eye to touch, Velove Vexia Fernando."
Darrell smiled again. Advancing his face deliberately, the man managed to kiss, then wet Velove's neck with a wet lick. He took a deep sniff of the perfume that the woman was wearing, then after that tried to move places and aimed at Velove's ripe lips which he was muzzling with his right hand.
Velove looked back shaking his head in disapproval. As Darrell's face got closer, he struggled with all his might. Gathering all the courage, Velove then directed his feet. He then kicked Darrell in the groin so that the man reflexively let go of his grip while groaning in pain.
"You bitch!" cursed Darrell angrily.
Not letting Velove go, as fast as lightning, Darrell grabbed Velove's hair. Interesting, then flanking the woman's body, even Darrell's hand was trying to reach, intending to forcibly tear the party dress that Velove was wearing.
Just about to bury his head in Velove's chest, Darrell was surprised by the sound of a door being kicked from outside. As soon as he looked back, he found two men who immediately entered, then beat Darrell until he fell on the floor.
"Darwin!"
Velove immediately screamed when he saw his husband, who at that time broke down the door and entered together with Randy. Luckily, earlier Darwin had taken the initiative to force Randy to come with him to follow Velove who was going somewhere.
"Anyway, you have to come with me, Ran," Darwin forced after a few minutes after Velove left. Taking his hand, the man pulled Randy to get into his car which was parked in the yard.
"Where have you been, Win? I'm tired, I want to go home and rest."
Randy was heard protesting. But, the funny thing is that the man just gave up when Darwin took him into the car.
"I have a bad feeling. You have to accompany me to make sure where Velove went just now."
After fastening the seatbelt, Randy immediately turned around. His head was currently filled with all kinds of questions that he was ready to throw at his cousin.
"But how do you follow him? Most of the time the car that Velove was riding in was not being chased. He had already left earlier."
"Use GPS, Ran."
"GPS what do you mean?"
Darwin didn't answer right away. The man first put his cellphone on the car holder on the dashboard of the car. Opens an application. Pay close attention, then follow where the arrow on the map moves as if giving a clue.
"After the Velove incident that disappeared on Mount Hallasan and Myeongdong yesterday, I deliberately asked him to download a tracker application that makes it easier for me or him to know each other's location via cellphone. And now? This application is also useful for me to find where he is now. "
"Yes, if you can watch from your cellphone, why are you following him like this?" protested Randy a little annoyed. He thought, if everything could be checked via a smartphone, Darwin would just have to pay attention to Velove's position from home.
"Still, I'm not calm, Ran. I have to make sure where he goes."
In the end, Randy just gave up when Darwin asked her to follow where Velove went that night. Until not long ago, the tracker application that became Darwin's guide to following his wife, directed him to one of the well-known bars in the South Jakarta area.
"Paradise?" muttered Randy while looking around from inside the car. "Is Velove really here?"
"According to the application, he really stopped here."
"What party do you want, Win?" asked Randy curiously.
Darwin shrugged his shoulders. How did he also understand what business tonight his wife went to all sorts of bars.
"Anyway, if I see Velove inside, I'll immediately take him home. It's up to him whether he's angry or not."
Because of this worry, Darwin hurriedly followed Velove by deciding to join him in the bar so he could quickly find his wife's whereabouts. Initially, he had difficulty finding Velove in the middle of a sea of people who that night seemed to be having fun enjoying the DJ music.
Long, he tried to find here and there. Until finally, Randy's eyes caught sight of Velove, who was initially sitting with a man, then stood up and then left the table.
The woman was clearly seen walking towards the left side of the dance floor. Both of them thought, maybe Velove was going to go to the toilet.
It's just that, Darwin's mind began to get distracted when he saw the man who had been sitting with Velove, seeming to be following from behind in a very strange manner. And Darwin's guess was proven right. It turned out that the man he and Randy suspected was indeed about to commit an immoral act and also harm Velove.
Luckily Darwin caught up quickly. If not, maybe his wife had experienced harassment from other men.
"Don't interfere!" shouted Darrell while wiping the drop of blood that came out of his lip. Choosing to get up, the big man tried to strike back by trying to hit Darwin back.
Velove who saw the fight immediately ran towards the door. While Randy walked out. Maybe call security or maybe even call the authorities to immediately follow up on what happened.
While Darwin himself was still involved in a fight with Darrell. The two of them punched and attacked each other. Darrell even threw a vase of flowers in the sink towards Darwin, until the man's hands were covered in blood.
"Win, be careful!" cried Velove so hysterically. Especially seeing Darwin's arm full of blood.
Darwin then moved closer so he could grab Darrell's hand. Pulling, continued to squeeze, then threw Darrell's body so he fell on the floor. Coinciding with that, Randy finally arrived with the security forces and immediately gave the order to immediately take the man to the security post while waiting for the authorities.
Hearing the commotion, the visitors who happened to be passing through the back room immediately flocked to check what was going on. Even Deasy and Nathan, who were looking for Velove, also checked and finally found the woman's whereabouts after seeing a crowd of people.
Without speaking a word, Darwin immediately grabbed Velove's wrist to get out immediately. Past the crowd, then stopped for a moment right in front of Deasy and Nathan.
"This time, I forgive you," Darwin pointed sarcastically right at Deasy's face. "If you ask Velove out tomorrow and something happens to him, I'll make sure you're the one going to jail!"
Darwin then walked away. Leaving Deasy and Nathan who could only remain silent because they couldn't answer, let alone had time to defend themselves in front of the man.

All the way home, Darwin and Velove both chose silence. After what happened before, neither one of them was willing to budge to speak first.
In fact, when he got home and was cleaning the wound on Darwin's arm, Velove did not even want to rebuke her husband. Even though Darwin's life was almost lost because he had a hard time helping Velove from Darrell's captivity.
"Ve..." called Darwin finally.
Currently both of them are in the television room. Because he couldn't stand being silent anymore, Darwin chose to give in by reprimanding him first. Realize yourself, maybe the mistake is too big so that Velove never forgives. "How long are you going to keep silent about me like this? How long are you going to not give me a chance to resolve the misunderstanding that occurred between us."
Velove slightly looked up. He glanced at his husband, then continued to bandage Darwin's injured arm.
Just keep being cool. It was as if he had deliberately ignored what Darwin had said to him. Even though he was helped, he still felt annoyed with what his husband had done before.
"Ve... Please," begged Darwin once again. "If you don't want to forgive or you really don't have another chance for me, why don't we just divorce? Why wait for six months but secretly like now?"
"Well, tomorrow we divorce."
After a long silence, Velove finally spoke. However, this is not the sentence Darwin wanted to hear from his wife.
"Instead of hurting me all the time, it's better to divorce now as well."
"Eh ... no ... no," Darwin corrected with a panicked face. The heart meant to joke, his wife even agreed to what he said. "I'm not serious, Ve. The probationary period for a month hasn't even ended, it's time for you to just divorce. Besides, why don't you listen to my explanation first?"
"What else do you want to explain? Everything is clear, that I am not worth more than Vicky."
"Ve, enough!" Darwin protested with a slightly raised voice. The man's face suddenly turned cold after Velove said Vicky's name right in front of Darwin. "For God's sake, even in the last month, I don't even remember Vicky. Never mind, I don't even think about her at all. You should appreciate my efforts to focus on you. No matter how angry or annoyed I am, I always try to say or protest directly," complained Darwin at length. It seemed the man couldn't take it anymore. To the point of bringing out all his worries tonight to Velove.
"Try to remember ... " continued Darwin. Once he got the chance, he couldn't stop talking. "When did I silence you. When did I deliberately ignore you, let alone deliberately stir things up by going out with another woman. Never, Ve," said Darwin, shaking his head. "Since I promised, I've always tried to carry out what was my commitment to you. And now? You're angry with me for one thing that I can actually explain. In fact, ignoring my request, to what end? You almost got yourself wrong, right?"
Velove fell silent. Want to argue, but it feels useless. Everything her husband said just now was true. So, should he apologize right now? But, the anger he felt had not completely disappeared.
"Now, I'll leave everything to you. If you still want to be angry, that's okay. I will continue to wait for you to give me the opportunity to explain what you should listen to."
After saying those words, Darwin got up and headed to his room. Changing clothes, intending to immediately rest. His body felt crushed after previously being involved in a fight with a man who was trying to hurt Velove.
Before he closed his eyes, he heard the sound of the bedroom door being opened. Turning around, he found Velove walking over with a glass of milk in his hand.
"Drink first," the woman offered, holding out the glass she was holding.
Darwin was actually surprised by the presence of Velove, who he believed was still angry. But, because it was impossible to refuse his wife's gift, he accepted and then drank the milk that was made for him right then and there.
"Thanks," Darwin muttered briefly. As soon as Velove was about to leave, Darwin quickly grabbed and pulled Velove's wrist so that the woman sat down next to him. "Wait a minute."
"Especially?"
"When I think about it, I don't think I can do it if I have to wait for you to give me a chance to explain everything. Even if after this you still want to be angry, I'll give up."
Velove took a deep breath. Since her husband had asked countless times to give her a chance, she thought maybe now was the right time to hear what Darwin really wanted to say.
"Yeah, what do you want to say?"
he smiled. Before explaining, the man grabbed the glass that Velove was holding and moved it onto the nightstand. A moment later, grabbed his wife's wrist, then held it while giving an explanation.
"Before, I apologize because I may have disappointed you several times. It's not that I also humiliated you by refusing to be invited to have sex with husband and wife. For God's sake, I've refused because I feel it's not right for you. I'm also aware that I'm too low to You are near perfect."
Velove gasped at Darwin's explanation. How could he have thought that the man he used to think was a jerk would think this far.
"You're exaggerating, Win," Velove said, staring intently at the man in front of him.
"This isn't too much, Ve. I just don't want you to regret or be disappointed later because you gave me what you have."
"Are you sure it's all because you don't want to disappoint me? Not because you're too loyal to Vicky? Or maybe you promised him that as long as we're married, you won't even touch me?" asked Velove without pause. Sighing several times, the woman returned to continue her sentence. "You need to know, Win. Even though I don't love you, from the start I decided to marry and be your wife, I have surrendered myself to sincerely accept all the weaknesses and strengths you have. No matter what your past is, I actually don't care. But "Unfortunately, as a husband, you don't even respect and respect me."
Darwin let out a long sigh. Hearing the sentence Velove had just said, made him feel guilty. Darwin certainly doesn't forget how in the early days of his marriage he did anything he could. Even so asshole deliberately betrayed his wife.
"Sincerely from the bottom of my heart, I apologize for what I have done. I realize that what I did before was completely unacceptable."
Velove chuckled, then smiled blandly. Actually lazy to remember the painful events at the beginning of their marriage.
"No need to make it big, Win. To be honest, I actually hope our marriage can last a long time and it doesn't need to end. Especially recently, I've started to feel comfortable with the attention, protection, and all the sweet attitudes you show. It's just that, it seems it is impossible for our marriage to last long. I also realize that I will never be able to replace Vicky's position in your heart."
Initially, a click was heard clearly from Darwin's lips when his wife again insinuated Vicky's name in their conversation.
However, on the other hand, he was also taken aback. Darwin never thought that after what he had done, his wife still had high hopes that their marriage would survive and be able to run normally as usual.
"Do you think I need to end the relationship I have with Vicky?"
Velove shrugged. Instead of answering or giving advice, he returned the question to Darwin.
"You should ask yourself. Between me and Vicky, which one do you need to defend? Am I the one who just came into your life, and her status is already a legal wife. Or, still choose Vicky because she is the woman who has been beside you when hard and happy."
Velove then got up and walked away. Leaving Darwin who seemed to think about what his wife had just said.
