Chapter 76

The plane that Vicky Rose was on finally landed smoothly at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. After spending time in Singapore accompanying her aunt for treatment, today Vicky returned to Indonesia. There is one important matter that he thinks he must finish soon.

"Ma'am Vicky ..." said the security when he realized who the person who was currently visiting. Because in the past, Darwin often brought him to his house, of course some of the workers knew Vicky, who had been Darwin's lover for several years.

"Mr. Darwin or Mrs. Velove haven't arrived home yet. Maybe soon," said the security guard.

Vicky glanced at his watch again. He nodded, realizing that this was indeed the time when Darwin usually just left the office. From his arrival in vain, he decided to survive first.

"Then can I wait inside? I have something important to discuss with Mr. Darwin or Mrs. Velove."

Security seemed to consider a few moments. Seeing the look on Vicky's face that was clearly begging, he finally allowed Vicky to enter.

"Please wait inside, Mrs. Vicky. Let me take you to the living room."

Vicki nodded in agreement. After being invited to enter the house and sit in the living room, he chose to wait patiently until the owner of the house came.

It's not without reason that Vicky is now at Darwin's residence. His arrival today to Indonesia was indeed specifically to meet his ex-girlfriend and his wife.

Vicky then immediately got up. Nodding politely towards Darwin and Velove, then replying to the warning that the man had given him earlier.

"Sorry if I wasted your time."

Darwin hesitated for a moment. Throwing a scanning gaze, watching Vicky from head to toe. A moment later, a question arose in his heart, why did Vicky come to see him, even so reckless as to come directly to his house. Did his ex-girlfriend return to Indonesia because she wanted to throw a tantrum?

"Why suddenly here? What business do you have?" surprised Darwin. Then pulled Velove's arm gently, inviting his wife to sit beside him immediately.

Vicky seemed to clearly carve a faint smile on his face. Staring at Darwin and Velove's faces alternately, then responding to the question that was given to him just now.

"Actually, I came to Indonesia to take care of something. However, before I did that, I decided to stop by your house first because I had to meet Velove in person."

Darwin's eyebrows immediately knit together. Of course he was surprised and at the same time wondered why Vicky wanted to meet his wife so badly? Is there anything important the woman wants to say? It didn't take long for all kinds of presumptions to arise in his mind.

It could be that there is something important that Vicky really wants to convey to Velove. It is also possible that Vicky's arrival this afternoon will backfire on the household Darwin is trying to get back up with Velove.

"Meet Velove? For what?" asked Darwin increasingly surprised.

"Why Vicky? Do you have something to say to me?" asked Velove who finally opened his voice. Staring deeply, watching Vicky carefully.

"Before, I want to apologize for what happened the other day. Maybe my meeting with Darwin caused trouble. But, really, I didn't mean anything. Because so far I'm used to complaining and telling even the slightest things with him, and now I'm not have anyone. This is what makes me frantic and confused to the point where Darwin is forced to meet."

Velove nodded in understanding. There is also a feeling of pity for this woman in front of him. If only she and Darwin weren't matched, it could be Vicky who is now side by side with Darwin. "I'm really sorry too because yesterday I didn't have time to give an explanation. I had to rush Aunt Laura for treatment to Singapore," continued the woman at length.

"No problem," Velove said. "I've forgiven you. Even though there was a misunderstanding, Darwin and I are much better now. And you don't need to feel bad anymore."

Vicky smiled. Again throwing glances at Velove and Darwin alternately. He took a deep breath, then spoke again.

"I also came here because I want to thank you."

"Thank You?" Darwin repeated in a tone of astonishment. "Thank you for what?"

"Thank you for the help Velove has given Aunt Laura."

"Don't be shy," Velove replied with a smile. "I only give you what you and your aunt deserve."

Darwin, who didn't understand the conversation between Velove and Vicky, suddenly looked confused. Not to mention the loss of curiosity that previously arose, now it is increasing because of the conversation between his wife and his ex-girlfriend.

"What does this mean? Actually, what's going on?"

Vicky then smiled then explained.

"As you know, the other day I decided to join Aunt Laura who was going to undergo treatment in Singapore after the accident that happened to her. After carrying out a series of examinations, surgeries and all the treatment, I just found out that Velove is paying for all the costs. Your wife ."

"Hah?"

"Yes, Win," said Vicky again. "Before, I was afraid that the money I had would not be sufficient to pay for all of Aunt Laura's medical expenses. However, when I was about to take care of the administration, the hospital told me that all hospital expenses until Aunt Laura was declared healthy had been borne by your wife."

"You don't need to think about it. You also don't need to feel embarrassed or bothered to find a replacement. I'm not asking to replace all the money I spent. It's just help from a friend."

Darwin then stared at Velove with admiration. How could he have thought that his wife could do this well and even to the woman who had hurt his heart in the past.

"Then, apart from meeting Velove, why did you suddenly return to Indonesia?" asked Darwin then.

"I want to take some important items and files from Aunt Laura's house to be brought to Singapore. I also want to take care of permits and other things too."

"Aren't you and Aunt Laura going back to Indonesia?"

Vicky shook his head. Apparently the woman's decision to settle in Singapore was unanimous and could no longer be contested.

"It looks like we will stay there for a long time. After all, I just got a good job in Singapore and the contract is not bad," said Vicky.

Darwin nodded in understanding. It's also a bit of a relief because Vicky can get a new life that is just as good and worthy as in Indonesia.

"I wish you and Aunt Laura all the best there," Darwin said sincerely.

"Once again a big thank you to both of you. I hope that after today's explanation, there won't be any more misunderstandings between the three of us." Then Vicky seemed to cast his eyes right at Velove. Intending to invite his ex-girlfriend's wife to talk seriously. "And Velove, once again I apologize for everything that has ever happened between us. I realize that I have been selfish for continuing to insist on having a relationship with Darwin, who in fact is officially married to you. "You're welcome," Velove replied. "I hope you understand, what I've been doing is because I wanted to defend my household. I'm also sorry because there was never any intention to take Darwin from you. I'm only defending what is rightfully mine."
