Chapter 1188 - The Cosmic Battlefield! I
The time for a new Writ of Challenge to take place was fast approaching, and it dealt with a newly joining Cosmos as the possible contenders from the Primordial Empire were renowned Daolords who oversaw single Cosmos for the past 100 years.
They didn't oversee these single Cosmos because they didn't have the ability to amass more, but they followed the wills of their Houses as carrying out their influence this way meant they were guaranteed to win over newly joining Cosmos and bring them under the control of their houses!
Those who oversaw single Cosmos also frequently carried out Writs of Challenges against other houses to try and expand the influence of their factions on a small scale, Daolords such as this being were promised to oversee multiple Cosmos and would be handed treasures for their services- such treasures being something like Primordial Hearts that allowed them to elevate their strength crazily.
Having Writs of Challenges where the Heads of the Houses challenged each other for all of the expansive clusters of Cosmos had never occurred in history, but there had been instances of powerful Daolords from the factions coming to blows and staking dozens of Cosmos under them to carry out terrifying battles.
So even though the soon to be occurring Challenge was interesting, it generated small waves as the attention given to it was simply a few Daolords from the three Houses expectant to see which House would be chosen by the Indigo Cosmos as this would be the one to obtain a new Cosmos under them!
The chance of the forces of the newly joining Cosmos winning was entertained in the minds of these powerful Daolords and Antiquities, but it was something unlikely to happen as it was only looked at as a mere small percentage.
"They have to choose soon, right?"
The female Daolord besides Azazel spoke out with sharp eyes as she gazed at the three galaxy sized scrolls that represented Writs of Challenges. Those accepting the challenge had to rip apart one of these scrolls to show their stance, where after that...a portal would be formed that would teleport the Antiquities and Daolord within each of the battling Cosmos onto a grand battlefield!
A battlefield that was so vast and fantastical that it was the size of a Cosmos, this being the area where most of the Writs of Challenges took place with little exceptions.
Those teleported would only ever be Antiquities and Daolords as the measure of the Cosmos's strength, everything lower in rank being seen as a non contributing factor!
Daolord Azazel and many others knew this as they waited patiently within their Cosmos, ready for battle at any point.
"Any second now...though I do have an inkling that I won't be able to face this Daolord Osmont just yet!"
The voice of Azazel stretched out to the surroundings as his verdant green hair waved in the wind, his childish expression being overshadowed by the immense experience hidden within his eyes!

"You're all ready?"
Noah voiced out loudly as his voice reached the edges of the Indigo Cosmos and rage onto the minds of all Antiquities within it.
RAA! RAA!
The fearsome cry of more prominent existences rang out with palpable excitement, a glorious glow of gold stretching out behind a certain Emperor Penguin as he led those with the Incandescent Guardian Archetypes!
The planetary-sized figures of Cthulhu and the other Terrors could be seen, along with the manifested Seven Deadly Sins that took up their own region while shining with unbridled might!
Barbatos led those that released waves of deathly light under the Necromancy Archetype, groups like these being one of the many that stood behind Noah.
King Augustus and his forces watched all of this with hopeful gazes, their eyes going towards Noah who was floating towards the three glimmering Writs of Challenges that were the size of Galaxies.
Under the gazes of everyone, Noah went ahead and neared a Writ that stood to the left, his eyes releasing bright rays of light as he waved his right hand and caused a crescent blade of Ruination to erupt out and strike on the scroll the size of a Galaxy, tearing this fantastical scroll apart with utter ease as a moment later, a spatial storm erupted out!
The scroll he ruptured was crimson black in color, the insignia of a crimson fist illustriously seen at the very center as Noah naturally selected the challenge from the House of Stormdust.
The moment this happened…
"Hmmm…" The figure of Azazel was notified of them missing the selection as his eyes hid their thoughts deeply.
Far from Azazel in the Cosmos under the House of Havenbreaker.
"Cowards!" The twin Daolord pair that was adorned with gold spoke out simultaneously, their hearts frustrated after missing the chance to easily obtain a new Cosmos!
But what occurred couldn't be changed as the male Daolord spoke with a sharp golden light.
"Well, we could at least go see what type of fight they will put up. Given how that little Daolord talked do big and the fact that he can take down a Lesser Primordial Beast, I expect him to give some challenge to those brats from Stormdust."
"Well, this should have some audience as it's been some time since the last Writ of Challenge. Let's go measure what the skills of Ilyad and Ray have amounted to...we'll have to face them soon enough in the future!"
With such an exchange, the figures of the twin Daolords disappeared as they tunneled across the folds of space towards another Cosmos!
As for where they were going, it was naturally the location that most of the battles from Writs of Challenges took place- the fantastical arena that was known as the Cosmic Battlefield!
When Noah ruptured the Writ of Challenge from the House of Stormdust, the spatial storm that erupted out from it wrapped around all the Antiquities and Daolord nearby as all of them were shuttled from this Cosmos and into another one deep into the heart of the Primordial Empire.
THRUM!
At the same time, the challengers from the Anthracite Cosmos under the House of Stormdust were also teleported to the Cosmic Battlefield, this point in time being when many players stepped onto a grand stage!
