1332 Scary Little Blacky(Chapter preview)

Sima You Yue flew over and saw everyone watching her. Even before she could speak, a terrifying aura could be felt from the inside of the barrier. That aura went past the barrier, dispersing outside.

The moment that the aura reached outside, everyone who was in the air fell to the ground. The same happened to her and the four great decision makers. The floor was filled with people who had just crashed to the ground.

Just the aura made it unbearable for them. Just how scary was the thing inside/

"It hurts." Sima You Yue rubbed her painful bottom. She wanted to stand up, but the aura made her body go weak.

"Bark bark bark-" Go outside! Go outside!

Blacky, who could feel the aura from Sima You Yue, cried out.

Sima You Yue thought about how the incident back at East City was solved with Blacky and that its reaction had been the same last time. Could this be the same as well?

She called out Blacky, and the moment it appeared, she could sense that the terrifying aura had disappeared.

"Bark bark bark-"

Blacky wagged its tail and barked twice at Sima You Yue before turning around and running towards the forbidden area.

"Blacky, stop!" Sima You Yue grabbed onto its tail.

"Bark bark bark-" Black turned around and barked at her.

"Blacky, you can't just run over." Sima You Yue hugged it and stood up, "You don't know anything about the thing inside the forbidden area. It's too dangerous."

Blacky blinked its eyes. It couldn't understand what Sima You Yue said. However, whether or not it understood, it proceeded to do something that would render everyone speechless.

"Bark bark bark-"

Blacky barked ferociously at the forbidden area, and everyone heard that bark. What was surprising was that, after blacky barked, the aura actually retreated!

"It- it retreated?"

Everyone was stunned. Especially so for the prodigies like Zhang Hao and the others. They all stared blankly at Blacky who was cradeled in Sima You Yue's embrace.

"What's going on?"

Those on the ground crawled up. The people who were the closest knew that Blacky was the one who barked, while the others only heard the sound.

Wu Man happened to land rather near to Sima You Yue, and also just realised that Blacky was not an ordinary thing. She watched him and felt like she was looking at a treasure.

"Is this your spirit beast?" Her eyes shone as she stared at Blacky.

Sima You Yue nodded.

"The thing inside seems afraid of it. Could you let it try to see whether or not it can suppress it?" Wu Man asked.

"But Blacky doesn't have a bit of attacking ability." Sima You Yue hugged it, "If you want it to attack, that would be impossible."

"No ability to attack?" Wu Man looked at Blacky more carefully. It was nestled inside Sima You Yue's embrace and really did not have a shred of spirit energy.

"Right, Blacky has no ability to attack." Sima You Yue confirmed.

"It's okay if it has no ability to attack. Wasn't that aura scared into retreat by a simple bark? Just let it bark twice more to test." Wu Man said, "The lives of everyone in this city is in its hands."

Sima You Yue agreed as well. If the entire city was gone, she wouldn't be able to live and much less needed to be said about finding her father.

"Blacky, you wanna try?" She carried Blacky as she asked.

"Bark bark bark-"

Blacky wagged its tail, showing how happy it was.

"How do you want to do this?" Sima You Yue didn't understand this, so she could only ask Wu Man.

Wu Man didn't know either. This was the first time she had seen a living thing able to deter that. She said with uncertainty, "Why don't you let it go up and try barking like it did earlier?"

"Alright." Sima You Yue hugged Blacky and came to midair. She got close to the barrier around the forbidden zone and realised that the closer they got, the more then black fog retreated.

Without needing to say anything, Little Blacky immediately started to bark upon seeing the black fog. It felt like its dignity was being challenged in a public place.

Just now, the black fog was insufferably arrogant, but hearing Blacky's bark, that unbridled aura immediately disappeared and the speed it was tumbling decreased by a lot.

Wu Man glanced over and saw that it was really useful, and let out a sigh inwardly.

"I wonder what creature Blacky is? That thing is actually afraid of it?"

Others flew over and were stunned when they saw what was happening in front of them.

"This- what is this thing? It's actually so powerful?"

When Blacky heard that someone asked what thing it was, it shot an angry glare at the person. The person was so terrified that he directly fell from the sky and almost died.

"This spirit beast belongs to that little lady. It has no ability to attack, but the thing inside seems terrified of it." Wu Man explained.

"Is this that little lady who flew over before? Your spirit beast is actually able to suppress it so much. Just what spirit beast is he?" Luo Qi asked.

"I have no idea myself. When I met it, it was already like this. Then, I don't know how it ended up forming a contract with me. It looks like a dog, but its intelligence isn't high and it can't talk either. That's why I don't know what it is until now."

Sima You Yue weaved this lie together bit by bit. When they saw her clear eyes, everyone believed that she was telling the truth.

After all, there were many strange and powerful creatures in this world. There were some who were really like this. It was nothing strange.

"No matter what it is, since it is able to suppress that thing, we might even be able to force it back inside." Zhang Hao said.

"This is the only way for now. Little Lady, can you try to see whether or not you can force this thing back into the pond?"

"Alright." Sima You Yue nodded. She patted Blacky's head and said, "Do you know what to do?"

Blacky blinked its eyes. Although it didn't know what to do, intuition told it that it could do whatever it wanted. He was a heaven-born king. Nobody dared to defy its power!

It hopped out of Sima You Yue's embrace and hopped on top of the barrier. Because the barrier pushed back, it did not fall inside.

"Bark bark bark-"

It barked at the black fog a few times, and it really began to retreat.

It really worked?

They watched the black fog retreat with their own eyes and everyone was shocked. What followed after was unconcealable joy.

It seemed like they had hope of rescue!

As the black fog started to retreat slowly,the barrier no longer existed. As Blacky had no spirit energy, it could not fly. The moment the barrier disappeared, it began to fall.

Sima You Yue received a shock. If it landed in the black fog, would it still survive?

She chased after it without thinking and caught it before Blacky landed on the ground.

When she landed in the forbidden area, she realised that wherever Blacky was, the black fog would completely retreat. It seemed terrified of it and didn't even think of fighting back.

Those who were outside initially thought that Sima You Yue would die for sure by running into the black fog. However, the black fog actually opened up a path. This made everyone even more puzzled at what Blacky's identity was.
