1597 Who is he?(Chapter preview)

Sima You Yue thought that no one would rush to Rabbit Ear Mountain like she did, but little did she expect to see a group of people leaving the city when she just arrived at the city gate. Also, most of them were heading to Rabbit Ear Mountain.

As she wasn't familiar with the surroundings, a few of them had a discussion about getting a partner and getting some information from them at the same time.

Finally, this honorable and difficult task fell onto Sima You Yue and Han Miao Shuang because everyone agreed with Feng Zhi Xing's points - Sima You Yue was a natural at being approachable, both her and Han Miao Shuang was two beauties that made it easy for them to communicate with others.

However, both of them gave in and started to look for their target.

Some of them had females with them and they didn't want to target them, some looked cunning and some were too smart. Who knew whether they might be conned into telling information instead of getting some information from others.

After choosing for so long, they finally set their eyes on a group that had slightly only over ten people. They dressed simply and looked easy to dupe.

They were discussing under a big tree outside of the city and all of them looked distressed.

"Big Brother, sorry to disturb you. Which direction should I go to if I want to get to Rabbit Ear Mountain?" Sima You Yue pulled Han Miao Shuang over and asked smilingly.

They weren't angry when they were interrupted. They looked at both of them and pointed in the direction of Rabbit Ear Mountain.

"Fly along the northeast direction and you'll reach there in two days." A round guy told them in detail.

"Two days? I thought we would be able to get there in one day?" Sima You Yue frowned.

"Who told you that it would take one day?"

"I asked one of the guests when we stayed in the inn."

"You guys have been duped by him." The round guy glanced up and down at both of them, "You guys aren't from the island, right? No wonder you guys got deceived. Those guys like to lie to people when they have nothing better to do."

"Huh?"

"You guys will arrive at Steep Cliff Mountain if you only travel for a day. That's not the Rabbit Ear Mountain, it's just an empty mountain with nothing at all."

Sima You Yue and Han Miao Shuang were in disbelief and shock, they didn't think that they would be duped by others.

"To be honest, we're not from the island, we want to get to the Rabbit Ear Mountain as we heard that there are medicinal ingredients that we need, but we didn't expect that we'd be duped." She actually heard that it would only take a day to get there, but she knew the distance to Rabbit Ear Mountain as she had the map in possession.

So she could tell that the ones who gave them the directions were lying.

"You guys are here to attend the Crimson Pearl Convention, right?" The fat and round guy hesitated and said, "We're going to the Rabbit Ear Mountain too, we can bring you along but we can only bring you to the front of the mountain and we're unable to bring you into the mountain."

"Uncle!" The others cried out anxiously.

"We're only showing them the way, what can happen?" The fat and round guy had the say, and no one would dare to disobey as long as he agreed.

"Alright, today is the day we will either succeed or fail, if the Heavens really want to finish the Guo Clan, showing them the way wouldn't affect it." Another guy wearing a white top said.

The two most influential people had spoken, what else could they say?

Sima You Yue could tell that these guys were in a difficult situation and were going to Rabbit Ear Mountain to look for something to change their lives.

It seemed like they had good morals since they were willing to give a helping hand to outsiders even when they were in a difficult situation.

"Uncle, how do I address you?"

"My name is Guo Yin Da but you can address me as Uncle Guo." The fat man laughed as he pointed at the white top guy and said, "This is my nephew, Guo Xin."

"Greetings to Uncle Guo and Brother Guo." Sima You Yue and Han Miao Shuang bowed in greeting, "I'm Sima You Yue and this is my Senior Big Sister, Han Miao Shuang, that's my Grandfather, Grandmother, Father and …."

She waved to them from a distance and introduced them after they came over.

Guo Yin Da thought they were familiar but didn't ask much and told his own men, "It's pointless to talk about this for now, we'll know when we get to Rabbit Ear Mountain. Let's go."

Guo Clan members summoned their own flying beasts and Sima You Yue could see that they were powerful but they weren't fast.

"Uncle Guo, we're in a bit of a rush, my flying beasts are faster and bigger. If you don't mind, why don't you come with us?" Sima You Yue summoned Halcyon.

Seeing Halcyon in full, Guo Yin Da got curious but he quickly came back to his senses and said, "Since you guys are rushing them we'll follow suit."

"Sure. Please."

Sima You Yue brought everyone onto Halcyon's back and got him to fly towards the northeast.

Along the way, Sima You Yue and Guo Yin Da were chatting and talking about themselves to build connections.

When she talked about them being charged eight thousand top grade crystals, Guo Clan looked at them as if they were spendthrifts.

"Why, isn't it ten thousand per person?" Sima You Yue asked as she saw them trying to hide their laughter.

"No, this helmsman is weird. His charges vary, but not to the extent of ten thousand per person." Guo Yin Da laughed badly.

Sima You Yue was flabbergasted, did I get scammed?

Seeing how she blanked out, the Guo Clan members started laughing. But it wasn't because they were teasing her, it was because she looked cute when she realised that she had been scammed.

"That helmsman charges as much as he likes? Does no one make a fuss if it's too high?" Han Miao Shuang asked.

"Hehe. Everyone knows who that helmsman is, who would dare to make a fuss with him?" Guo Xin laughed.

Sima You Yue thought that she knew the helmsman had some status and indeed, he had some background.

"Who is he?"

"Him? He is close to the Island Master. Even though he is fat and bulky, he is powerful, capable and comes from a different background, no one dares to kick up a fuss."
