1703 Eastern Lai Clan(Chapter preview)

Sima You Yue didn't think that the Eastern Lai Clan would actually take out such a big show of sincerity. They knew that if they didn't provoke her, she wouldn't do anything to them, so they wanted to show their sincerity clearly.

Or, perhaps, they also knew that if Sima You Yue insisted on going to the island, they would be powerless to stop her.

Sima You Yue and Sima Liu Xuan were of a younger generation, so they bowed to them in greeting before taking a seat by the side.

"You must be Sima You Yue." Eastern Lai Li's mother had a much colder attitude. To make her meet the one who killed her daughter must be rather uncomfortable for her.

However, she didn't plan to apologise to them for that because she wasn't the one in the wrong. If Eastern Lai Li had not tried to kill her, she wouldn't have killed her either.

She had retaliated, not initiated.

"I wonder what brings Young Miss You Yue to our island?" Patriarch Eastern Lai asked.

"It's actually pretty simple. An Lei wants to retrieve her mother's grave. Since she is following me now, it is only natural that her mother's grave follows her out. That is why I wanted to ask Patriarch Eastern Lai and Madame to make things easy." Sima You Yue told them the reason why she had come.

The Patriarch's wife looked over at An Lei. An Lei seemed to be rather terrified of her. Her single glance was enough to cause her to shrink back unconsciously.

"Then, when do you plan to move her?"

She realised that, since they arrived here, An Lei had become increasingly anxious. Her nerves had been stretch taught. That was why she wanted to hurry and settle this issue before leaving.
