183 Seeing through her disguise(Chapter preview)

Bei Gong Tang constantly watched Sima You Yue clean up and work on his wounds. When she heard what Fatty Qu said, she merely shook her head. She didn't say anything and her gaze appeared quite vacant.

Sima You Yue applied some medication on the child's body and gave him a few more pills to eat. After that, she rose and said, "He merely has some superficial wounds on his body and not much internal injuries. After eating some pills, he will heal in two days. Bei Gong, did you think of your own younger brother when you saw him?"

Bei Gong Tang looked at Sima You Yue suspiciously. How did she know that?!

Wei Zi Qi and the others looked at the little boy's appearance with more focus and saw that he really did have some similarities with Bei Gong Tang.

"Yes, Young Master." Those servant girls immediately left the house.

"You all just arrived here so you should rest up. I'll go and have a word with my father before bringing you all around." Bai Yun Qi said with the air of a host.

"Aright, go ahead with what you need to do."

Bai Yun Qi left as the five of them went to choose their rooms. Bei Gong Tang arranged for the little boy to stay in the room opposite to her own and waited for him to wake up.

After more than half a day had passed, the little boy slowly regained consciousness. Seeing Bei Gong Tang sitting at the table and reading, he blinked his eyes as if he were in a dream.

Bei Gong Tang heard that the little boy had awoken and raised her head to ask, "Awake?"

"Older Sister, thank you for saving me." The little boy said cutely.

Bei Gong Tang stood up and walked over. When she came to his bedside, she asked, "What is your name?"

"Little Tu." The little boy replied.

"Little Tu, where is your family?" Why were you wandering alone outside?" Bei Gong Tang patted Little Tu's head as she asked.

The light in Little Tu's eyes dimmed away as he said softly, "Little Tu has been chased out of the house by the family. They don't want me anymore, so Little Tu has no more family."

"Chased out of the house…" Bei Gong Tang mumbled. She did not press him for a reason and said faintly, "You were abandoned today, but you will soar the skies one day and cause them to be filled with endless regret."

It was as if the little boy had received a shock from head to toe. He had been bullied and ostracised his entire life. Hearing this kind of words today caused his eyes to redden.

"Yo, you're awake!" Sima You Yue walked in from the outside. Seeing that the little boy's eyes were red, she walked forward and pinched his nose, saying, "A man of character sheds blood, not tears!"

"I am not!" Little Tu sniffed as he said.

"LIttle Tu, she's the one who tended to the wounds on your body." Bei Gong Tang said.
