2008 Call me Little Martial Uncle(Chapter preview)

Sima You Yue and the others looked up to see a white silhouette appear on the cliff beside them at some unknown time. He sat at the peak with a long zither lying across his knees.

They only saw him, but Liao Cang Ming and the <anno data-annotation-id="9d518928-f4f1-c131-1f79-faf151331ce9">Beast Tamer Sect </anno>members were rather cowardly.

"Sect Master Lu, what are you doing here, Senior?" Liao Cang Ming bowed courteously to Lu Yan, secretly cursing that this old man had come.

"Liao Cang Ming, I obviously look charming and elegant, so why do you greet me like I'm some old man?" Lu Yan placed both hands lightly on the zither, his voice clear and light, yet causing Liao Cang Ming's hairs to stand on end.

This old fresk loved to act cultured, and disliked anyone referring to him as Senior, but his position was high, so everyone had no choice but to greet him respectfully.

"Sect Master Lu, I definitely did not mean that. You are young and handsome, how could you possibly be old?" Liao Cang Ming laughed twice.

Lu Yan did not wish to waste any words on him as he looked at the cliff across him, "Vice Sect Master Qing, why are you hiding there? Since you're here, you should come out and chat with everyone!'

Everyone turned to look at the opposite cliff as a man who looked very much like Qing Cai appeared.

"Sect Master Lu, this is the place where my Beast Tamer Sect tames beasts. What are you doing here?" Vice Sect Master Qing was not embarrassed because he had been exposed. Instead, he threw a question back at him.

"I heard some activity so I came over."

"These people have harmed my son. I hope that you, Sect Master Lu, do not intervene."

"These people have harmed your son? Didn't your son get injured by the Divine Beast that he failed to tame properly? As a Beast Tamer Master, he was actually injured by his own tamed underworld beast. That's so embarrassing. If I were you, I would do my best to cover it up. How could I have the time to run over to cause trouble for others? Hey, didn't your son get injured quite badly? Vice Sect Master Qing's expression was as dark as it could possibly get. This incident had already become a huge joke in the Hidden Sect. That was why he was itching to kill Sima You Yue and her group. If not for them, his precious son would not have gotten injured and his Beast Tamer Sect would not have to endure such shame and humiliation.

Qing Cai had thrown a huge tantrum after he had awakened and the pill sect disciples had happened to see it when they sent some pills over, so rumors had spread. Lu Yan's words had well and truly hit the nail on the head of Qing Cai's doting father.

"My child's situation is none of your business." Vice Sect Master Qing huffed icily, "Although these people were brought in by Yan Ya from your clan, they killed my sect members right in front of us. Could it be that you want to ignore the sect rules and protect them?"

Liao Cang Ming was embarrassed as he apologised to Sima You Yue and the others, "My apologies. I did not know that you were members of our Hidden Sect and have offended you."

"You said that you didn't know, and ignorance is not a crime." Sima You Yue did not plan to make an enemy out of everyone. Anyway, Huan and the others had already punished those people.

Liao Cang Ming had a better impression of Sima You Yue as he cupped his hands in salute as he took his men and left. In the end, only Lu Yan and the others remained behind.

"Does this mean that I appeared for nothing?" Lu Yan said lightly.

"Without Master's intervention, it would have been troublesome today. It would have also been harder to enrol." Sima You Yue said.

"You change your words quickly. However, you should know why I did this." Lu Yan's smile dropped a bit, "Let's continue this conversation back at the sect."

Sima You Yue naturally knew the reason why. Why else if not for the Bone Flute in her hands.

She followed him back to the Hidden Sect. Earlier on, although she harbored some doubts towards those people, some things they said weren't bad. After all, the Hidden Sect was in a rather deserted place.

"They're waiting in the discussion hall." Yan Ya said.

"Let's go to the discussion hall."

He walked in front of them while Yan Ya and Sima You Yue and the others followed behind them.

"How did he end up being the one to come? I thought it would be you." Sima You Yue said in a small voice.

"I went with Honorable Master to the small town but, when we knew that someone had taken you away, Master said that he would go and got me to go back and wait."

"Honorable Master? Is he your Master?" Sima You Yue asked as she blinked in surprise.

"That's right. When I entered the sect, Master made an exception and took me in because of my talent. Master is Honorable Master's older brother, but he has already passed away." Yan Ya explained.

"Then if we go by rank, shouldn't you call me Little Martial Uncle?" Sima You Yue snickered, "He said that he would take me as his disciple."

"He actually took you as his disciple?"

"That's right! Hurry up and call me Little Martial Uncle."

Yan Ya looked at her puzzledly. He knew that she would not lie, so he felt rather depressed.

He had thought about it before, and thought about it again, but at most, his Master or the people from his Master's generation would take her in as a disciple. That way, she would be his peer. However, he didn't think that Honorable Master would actually take her as his personal disciple. Could it be because of her Bone Flute?

That probably wasn't it. If it was because of her Bone Flute, then getting anyone else to take her in would be the same. He had no need to do it personally. Furthermore, he had never mentioned before that he wanted to take in a disciple. Hence, it was probably done on the spot.
