2036 Confrontation (2)(Chapter preview)

Mo Wei's face turned deathly pale from the moment Liu Xu and the person met.

Because that person was the same person kneeling here, since that person was here, who was the one that Liu Xu was talking to?

The clothes that Liu Xu was wearing were the ones she had put on today, so this could not be a recording. Then what was going on with that person?

As their conversation, it made it impossible for her to deny anything.

Listening up to this point, everyone understood now that Mo Wei was the one who was behind all of this!

"Of course they don't know." That person said, "They forced us to tell them but we didn't say anything. However, they guessed and said it was from one of the Sect members and wanted to go back to investigate. I wouldn't have been able to survive if I didn't pretend to be dead."

"So you're saying that they don't suspect us." Liu Xu faintly said as she walked behind her, eyes filled with murderous intent.

"Yes."

"You did great. I'll bury your bodies as a reward for not selling us out!" Liu Xu said as she congealed a ball of spiritual energy to strike her head from the back. However, her hand was stopped in mid air as someone who was on the ground came over to grab her arm.

"You're such a vicious woman!" From the cold and hateful voice, Liu Xu understood that this person was not injured at all.

"Who are you?!" Liu Xu asked coldly. She did not dare to attack casually as her wrist was in his grip.

"You'll know who I am in a while! Go!"

Mi Er gripped both her hands as they disappeared from the spot. The pile of corpses disappeared as well as the mountain regained its previous tranquility.

The hall was filled with dead silence, Sima You Yue didn't have to explain much as everyone understood now. But the one who broke the silence was Mi Er and Liu Xu.

"Yue Yue, I've brought her here." Mi Er Told Sima You Yue as he pushed Liu Xu on the floor. Her face happened to land right in front of the person lying on the ground.

Identical!

She looked at the person in horror and turned to look at Mi Er, they looked identical!

"Thank you for the trouble." Sima You Yue nodded to him, Mi Er transformed into Sima You Yue's appearance and stood beside her.

One elder and the other younger, one male and another female. However, they seemed to be in complete harmony.

"This…" Liu Xu blanked, the others were startled too.

"Mi Er is my contract beast." Sima You Yue continued, "Mi Er is good at nothing else but transforming. Vice Sect Master, do you still need any other evidence from me?"

"Haha, well done Sima You Yue. I didn't expect that you would be so scheming! If I knew earlier, I would have killed you when you just entered the Sect! To stop you from being an eyesore for so many years!"

"You really suffered so many grievances!" Sima You Yue sneered, "Sect Master, we spoke earlier on, As long as I could produce the evidence, she will be mine to deal with. Can I take her with me now?"

"This….." Ning Tian Ya knew about Lu Yan and Mo Wei, so he glanced towards Lu Yan.

Lu Yan was silent, which was a tacit consent to Sima You Yue's request.

Mo Wei got anxious when Lu Yan didn't speak and shouted, "Lu Yan, what did you promise my Father? Why are you so quiet?"

"Have I not done enough these few years?" Lu Yan questioned her, "Do you think you could have done whatever you pleased in the Music Sect for so many years if it wasn't because of what I promised your father?"

"So you're saying that you'll abandon all responsibilities now, right?" Mo Wei asked, "Lu Yan, don't forget that you once said that you'd save me if I was in danger, to return my Father's favour. You're not done as long as you haven't repaid this life debt!"

Sima You Yue knew there were reasons why Lu Yan tolerated Mo Wei, but she didn't expect that she would drag her Father in. Although she didn't know what happened, she could guess.

"So you're saying that I still can't kill you today?!"

"You can try if you want your Master to fall into eternal damnation!"

"Try?" Sima You Yue glanced at Lu Yan and said, "Forget it, I'm not like you. On the outside, you appear as if you like my Master, but actually you're just narcissistic. You said that my Master owes you a life debt? In that case, we'll take it that he has paid it back today. Get lost!"

"You Yue!" Lu Yan's face sunk, disagreeing with her actions.

She had been in the Music Sect for so many years and done so much for the Hidden Sect, but in the end, she couldn't even be compared to someone who just came into the Sect for slightly more than twenty years! She saw that no one was willing to speak up for her even when there were so many people. Most of them were probably onSima You Yue's side. So, she felt that it wasn't worth it to stay in this kind of Sect!

"Liu Xu, let's go!" She was used to calling Liu Xu with her, but Mi Er stopped her.

"Master only owes you your life, not hers. So you can leave by yourself." Sima You Yue said."

"You…."

"Or are you saying that you have such a strong master-and-servant relationship that you're willing to give your life for hers?"

Give her life for hers? How was that possible! She was just a servant. If she died then so be it!

Mo Wei looked away from Liu Xu as she left with large strides. As she passed by Sima You Yue, she stopped and glared at her with a pair of blade-sharp eyes that couldn't wait to tear her to shreds.

"Wait and see!" She said those words with gritted teeth, and she left the Hidden Sect without turning back.

"Thank you Sect Master for granting me justice! I'll go back since the matter is resolved." Sima You Yue bowed in greeting and ordered Hai Xi, "Bring them back, we'll slowly settle the scores with them!"

Hai Xing went up and pulled on Liu Xu, who was paralyzed on the floor. The master and servant left the hall just like that.

As for those Elders, they didn't have a chance to speak. The problem was resolved even when they didn't open their mouths.

Ning Tian Ya saw that Lu Yan's expression was dark and said, "I was just saying that, based on her personality, I couldn't understand why she would escalate the situation here. Now we know it was because of you!"

She wanted to solve an unsolvable problem for him before she left and return him to a peaceful life. One which would return freedom to his soul.

She had always known that his heart was imprisoned.

Lu Yan laughed, "I'm obviously supposed to be the Master…"

The news of Mo Wei leaving the Hidden Sect spread quickly. Everyone in the Sect sighed. In the end, talent was still needed. Otherwise, once their actions caught up to them, someone would deal with them. Otherwise, why would the Hidden Sect set up a rule that stated that they wouldn't care about any grudges that the sect members had amongst themselves.
