Chapter 16
Okay, here's something you should know.
Asher and I got really close, and Piage and I got kinda closer. Then, Asher finally broke the news to me that he is gay. But, the problem is that he has not come out to his parents yet, and they think he has a girlfriend. Well, be did lie to them that he has a serious girlfriend.
Long story short? He begged me to pose as his girlfriend, as his parents loved near my town, and after a lot of arguing on my side, and promises on his side, I begrudgingly agreed to take being his girlfriend for the Christmas holidays, which was right after Katy's wedding.
Oh, and one more tiny detail, Paige is Asher's adopted sister, and she has a daughter that will soon be turning two.
Shocker, isn't it?
So, let's keep going.
The following days were the best I ever had, we talked a lot, laughed a lot, as the plans for the wedding commenced and the wedding day drew nearer. Everyone was bubbling. Me? I was on cloud nine. I felt like Paige was the best thing that had ever happened to me.
We spent a lot of time together just talking and of course making out, and making love every chance we got.
When my parents flew in, we got along really well, which was rare, because I never got along with them, I just usually avoided them. But, everything was different. I was different. I was happy. I was finally living. Every one noticed the change in me, even Katy.
Paige drew me out and got me talking about everything with her. I decided I didn’t want to press charges against any of those fools. I still never told my parents, but we did tell my sister. Paige convinced me that Katy was miserable over never having had time for me, and we finally got to talking and I opened up to her about everything. We cried in each other’s arms. I told her that about Paige and I, and she was ecstatic, she said she was happy for me, for both of us.
Soon, the wedding day came and went by without a single hitch. Katy was now Mrs. DeMarco. Paige and Asher stayed back for one more week before we all had to go over to spend the holidays with their parents.
Asher and Paige briefed me on their parents and everything else.
Now, let the pretending begin...
