Chapter 6 (Aron's POV)

It's finally here.

Christmas has arrived!

It's going to be the first of many I will be spending with Becky.

Ok, also our friends and family but she is a new addition.

No Christmas before this one did I have a girlfriend? But now I had a beautiful wife to spend Christmas with.

Becky was already at Vicky's restaurant with Rachel and Ana, and the leader, of course, boss lady Vicky.

I really want to see how she will manage to turn off her bossy side for one night, even though the girls reassured me she is actually capable of enjoying an evening without bossing people around.

So right now, I was waiting for Mason to pick me up. Then we are going to pick up aunt Lizz and off we go to Vicky's place.

Mason was for once on time and so far in the day, it all went smoothly.

We arrived at Vicky's place only half an hour later.

I was away from Becky for only a few hours, but I already missed her.

I know I am whipped, but I love things just the way they are right now.

I was looking around the empty restaurant to find where Becky was, but the first person to spot was Ana.

I gave her a huge grin. After all, she was still my family, and even if I missed my wife, I would never ignore her, especially when she was walking so fast toward us.

She first threw herself at aunt Lizz and then at me.

"Hey, mom. Aron. I am glad I caught you before the others arrived. I have some news to tell you."

Her face was the perfect picture of seriousness and I was starting to worry if it was bad news. But as soon as she saw the worry in my eyes she gave me a soft honest smile, letting me know it was good news.

I exhaled my worry from a moment ago and she chuckled lightly.

"I wanted to let you know, all your time, money and effort won't go to waste where my education is concerned. I managed to make a deal with my teachers, so I will be taking my exams from home, well technically I already did all of them and passed with good grades. So now I finally have finished my education like you both always wanted and have officially received my degree in the mail this morning. So thank you, both of you, for having faith in me and supporting me. But your presents are under the Christmas tree so you will have to wait to unwrap them just like everyone else."

Right now I couldn't be prouder of my sister. She finally did it. She managed to get her degree like she always wanted.

And just a moment passed when I saw aunt Lizz throwing her arms around her daughter shedding tears of happiness.

Even Ana had tears in her eyes, but I am sure she wouldn't let those tears fall.

When aunt Lizz let her go it was my turn to pull her into a hug.

"I am so proud of you sis."

As I released her she gave me the most dazzling smile she could.

"I know you are. But it's all thanks to you and mom."

I was about to tell her she was wrong when suddenly a pissed Vicky was yelling my name.

What in the everloving hell did I do now?

But my question was answered quickly and I realized at that moment, that I was fucked….

"How dare you, make an anonymous donation and not tell me for so many years?! How dare you!? I've told you many times I won't take your money, because I know, you started from nothing as well as I did!"

She was pissed. There is no way around that fact.

When I looked at aunt Lizz and Ana for support I could see they were slowly moving away, leaving me alone with a very pissed woman.

Damn you Becky. Where are you when your husband needs you?

"Look Vicky, can we calm down and talk? I can…"

"Oh we will sit down and you will explain but don't you dare tell me to calm down mister! Now talk!"

Looks like I was in deep shit this time. Maybe Christmas would melt her a little.

"Vicky, you know how much you helped me when I was lost even though you say I saved you as well. But I never had a chance to repay what you did for me. You are the strongest woman I know, always fighting your battles on your own. And when you started with this restaurant and was just a bit short on reaching everything you ever wanted, I was willing to help you. But again, you refused to take my help. So instead of trying to force anything on you, I decided to be your silent partner. You know I don't care for the profit, neither do I care how you run this restaurant, because whatever you are doing is working out perfectly for you. And I became your silent partner because I didn't want to see you getting into business with some greedy asshole. So you can be as angry as you want with me, but given the chance I would do it all again."

Next thing you know she was squeezing all the air from my lungs.

"When you put it that way. Thank you. So so much. You made sure my dreams came true. But don't think I am not still a little mad at you. And I will make sure to find some kind of solution, so I can get a silent partner who actually works with me and you see I won't find a greedy asshole to work with. Deal?"

There was a lump in my throat from all the emotions of today so all I managed was a nod and this bouncing ball of fire was on her way again.

I was just enjoying the quiet corner when Mason and Rachel spotted me, with little Rebecka in her arms.

"Hey boss man. We have a favor to ask."

Does everything need to be settled today or what?

I sighted but gave them a nod to continue.

"Well this favor is also our Christmas present. Would you accept being Rebecka's godfather?"

At those words the lump in my throat returned with vengeance and my eyes started to water.

Once again all I could do was nod at them, and even before I stopped nodding Rachel had her arms around me.

Once they left I was just praying it would be finally over with all this news and revelations. It was kind of overwhelming to feel so much love at once, but it was perfect in its own chaotic way. In our way.

My final shock came a few minutes later in the shape of my wife. But she wasn't alone.

She had Mason and Rachel with her.

They pushed Mason in the seat next to mine and they stood in front of us, hand in hand.

Thank God Becky started speaking pretty quickly.

"So, we both have some news for you guys. As you can see there are no gifts for you under the tree. That doesn't mean there is no gift. It's just special."

I was confused, and looking at Mason, so was he. But the next words our wifes spoke in unison made everything clear and turned this Christmas into an unforgettable day.

"We are pregnant!"

It all started as JUST ANOTHER CHRISTMAS, but ended up being the best one for everyone present.

I was raised by my mother alone. My father passed away when I was still little.

All my life I just wanted to repay my brother and mother all their support.

When I finally went to college I never expected to find someone like him there.

Now I returned back home with my tail between my legs.

I managed to organize my life back to its previous perfection and almost got over William…

But I needed an investor for my business if I wanted to reach my goal.

And guess who turns out to be my silent partner? Yes. William the playboy himself.

Would I be able to resist him and his advances, or would I become just another NOTCH?

I was ready to accept the arranged marriage my parents threw my way, when suddenly Ana appeared in my life.

She was perfect and I fell in love.

I wanted to tell her about my arranged marriage.

But how could I break the heart of the only woman I ever loved?

Suddenly my "bride-to-be" came to visit and ran into Ana, spewing bullshit about there being a date already on our wedding day, which was a total lie, but Ana didn't give me a chance to explain anything. She ran away from the college, from campus and most importantly, from me.

Now it happened she needed a silent investor and I had a huge amount of money.

So why not make the one I love happy?

Sadly she is convinced I just want to get her into my bed.

Could I convince her I love her, or would she turn her back on me and the future we could have?
