Chapter 1010 A rather tricky matter
Chapter 1001: A rather tricky matter
Vincent started drawing a new map as soon as he returned from Hogsmeade.
This is a huge project that needs to be carried out quietly. It is far larger and more complicated than imagined.
The Quidditch match alone took a whole week, and that was even though there were no matches this school year, and it was done by Hermione and I alone.
The greenhouse was much simpler, as it only required time off from classes, but the Forbidden Forest and the Black Lake were not so easy.
The former covers a large area, while the latter is not only deep but also home to a variety of magical aquatic animals. It is almost impossible to complete the project before the second one.
But Vincent had a good attitude and was not anxious at all.
Sirius and Lupin were still looking for other magic to replace the original magic of the Marauder's Map, and they also had the Prongs branding to deal with, which was no easier than the task of drawing a new map.
Gradually, Hermione no longer felt the urgency she had at the beginning.
on Monday,
Professor McGonagall made an announcement after the Transfiguration class:
"The Yule Ball is coming up. It's a traditional part of the Triwizard Tournament and a great opportunity for us to socialize with our foreign guests."
No wonder students are asked to prepare dresses this semester; it turns out a Christmas dance is being held this year.
The dance will be held in the hall at eight o'clock on Christmas evening and end at midnight.
Although the dance is open only to students in the fourth grade and above, if students wish, they can invite a younger student to participate as a dance partner.
"The Yule Ball will no doubt give us a chance to - um - let our hair down and relax," said McGonagall in a rather disapproving tone.
Lavender below laughed so hard that she covered her mouth with her hands, trying her best to prevent herself from making any sound.
The students understood immediately that Mag always wore her hair in a tight bun, and it seemed that no one had ever seen her with her hair down.
If I have to name one person, it would probably be Dumbledore.
McGonagall glanced at Lavender and continued, "But that doesn't mean we will relax our behavioral requirements for Hogwarts students. I would be very sad if a Gryffindor student brought shame to the school in any way."
Although her tone was particularly calm, the students could all hear the warning in her words.
If a student, especially a Gryffindor student, really brings shame to the school, his fate will be miserable.
After class, the little lions discussed who they should invite to be their dance partners.
Amid the noise, McGonagall raised her voice and shouted, "Potter - please stay for a moment. I want to say something to you."
According to tradition, the dance will be opened by the warriors and their partners.
As Harry was a warrior of Hogwarts, she must have had many special instructions for him.
Arriving at the auditorium, James patted Vincent's shoulder in a condescending manner and said, "Old Vincent, it seems that you only have one option, right?"
As he spoke, he winked at Hermione, who was surrounded by Lavender and the others.
The nerdy girl used to dress in a tacky way, but since she got a boyfriend, she dresses up beautifully every day. The casual clothes she wears on weekends are even more fashionable and eye-catching. Each outfit exudes a unique charm.
Vincent smiled and said nothing, so James had to turn the topic to dress robes.
"Just wait, I will definitely be the brightest one at the ball."
His bright silver dress robe was indeed very shiny, and I wonder which lucky girl would be invited by him to be his dance partner.
Alfred moved aside with a look of disgust, "Old James, have you decided who you want to invite?"
James straightened his back and said, "I've already thought about it. Of course, I'll invite my goddess."
Alfred moved aside again and said, "I advise you to just give up."
He stood up and looked around the auditorium, "There are so many boys who want to invite Furong. How can you be competitive?"
James stood up in anger and grabbed his neck tightly, "You underestimate me, don't you? Ah Fu, I'll show you my competitive edge now."
Neville looked at the two people playing around and sighed, "I don't know why, but I always feel that no girl will accept my invitation."
Vincent motioned him to look at Ron, who had a bitter face, and said, "Compare yourself with Ron, and you will have confidence."
Neville was stunned at first, then he remembered Ron's ugly dress robe.
If there is a girl who doesn't mind this extremely ugly and musty second-hand dress robe, then she must be Ron's true love.
After such a comparison, Neville became more confident.
Just as he and Vincent were discussing who to invite, the entire auditorium suddenly fell silent.
The boys stood up and gathered towards the entrance of the auditorium.
Alfred, whose neck was tightly clamped by James, shouted hurriedly, "Look! James, your goddess is here!"
James loosened his grip slightly and looked towards the entrance of the auditorium.
It turned out that the students of Beauxbatons had arrived, and Fleur was walking in the front.
She cleverly avoided the boys' encirclement and walked towards the Gryffindor table.
Her movements were agile and graceful, and it seemed that her injuries had completely healed.
James quickly pushed Alfred away and carefully straightened the folds of his school robe.
But Furong didn't even look at him and joined the discussion about clothing matching with the girls opposite.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk—" Alfred smacked his lips. "Old James, what did I just say? You'd better..."
My dear, there is more to come after this chapter. Please click on the next page to continue reading. There will be more exciting chapters later!
James sat down with a pout, not hearing what he was saying at all.
The scene of boys rushing forward one after another just now was really intimidating. I don’t know who will have the honor of picking this flower of the French court.
All through lunch the boys stared at the Gryffindor table.
The little lions who had the greatest advantage came after Furong finished her meal, but the responses they received were all polite rejections.
The first wave, the second wave, the third wave...
Fleur rejected wave after wave of boys, and even when she and the students of Beauxbatons walked out of the auditorium, there were still a dozen boys who were unwilling to give up and chased after her.
Unless something unexpected happens, this situation will continue.
Three days later, annoyed Fleur went to Hermione, who was drawing a greenhouse map with Vincent, to complain.
Hermione thought of a solution for her, which was to announce in public that she had a dance partner.
"They won't give up so easily, right?"
"At least it can make most boys give up."
Furong thought her method was feasible, "What about the remaining small part?"
Hermione looked at her suspiciously, "You're not going to reject all boys, are you?"
Furong nodded a little embarrassedly, "It's mainly because I don't want to just find a random boy to do it perfunctorily."
Hermione spread her hands helplessly, "Then there's nothing I can do. You're a Beauxbatons warrior, you have to find a suitable dance partner."
"Hey -" Fleur's eyes suddenly lit up, "Hermione, we are good friends, right?"
"Yeah." Hermione was instantly alert. "You don't mean to..."
Furong glanced at Vincent who was drawing a map in Greenhouse No. 3, and pitifully took her little hand and shook it gently.
"Since we're good friends, you wouldn't bear to see me surrounded by them every day, right? Just help me."
Hermione was finally defeated by her pitiful appearance.
It’s just that the warriors need to dance with their respective partners, which is quite a tricky thing.
