Chapter 1042: Nuclear-level praise
Harry breathed a sigh of relief after leaving the Black Swan Club's activity room.
He didn't know whether his decision was right or not. He only knew that the invisible pressure that was hanging over him had mostly disappeared.
Standing in front of the window in the corridor, he looked out at the Forbidden Forest and the Black Lake, muttering to himself, "And Beauxbatons and Durmstrang..."
After drawing the map, Vincent and Hermione returned to the Owl Court Club activity room. Seeing Harry turned back into the optimistic and positive boy he used to be, they immediately understood what his decision was.
Perhaps in the eyes of ordinary people, revealing clues to competitors is a stupid move, but no one has the right to laugh at Harry.
Whether he does it out of peace of mind or wants to compete fairly, this is the shining side of human nature.
Come weekend,
When the first rays of morning sunlight shone on Hogwarts Castle, Vincent and Hermione, who had finally finished drawing all areas of the Forbidden Forest, came to the Black Lake.
Although the lake is no longer frozen, you can still feel its coldness when you get close to it.
Hermione squatted down and put her hand in, but the bone-chilling cold made her quickly retract her hand.
"This is too cold. The temperature at the bottom of the lake will be even lower."
Vincent raised his wand and covered her and his body with an invisible film. "The warriors will find a way. Let's think about how to draw a map of this place."
The castle is a three-dimensional structure, so it is not complicated to break it down into individual planes.
The Forbidden Forest looks large, but in fact, much of it is flat land without any undulations.
The Black Lake is much more complicated. The waters are vast and the depth is unknown. If it only displays a plane like a Muggle radar, the new map will be inaccurate, but building a three-dimensional model will be too time-consuming.
"Take your time." Hermione sat on the shore and carefully put her feet into the Black Lake. "Our main task is to ambush and catch the Death Eater who wants to cause trouble. As long as we can capture him alive, maybe we can get Voldemort..."
She paused, her eyes determined, "Maybe we can find Voldemort's hiding place."
Vincent chuckled and nodded, then shook his head. "I hope so. These Death Eaters are all psychopaths. Those who were sent by Voldemort to infiltrate the school must have at least withstood his loyalty test."
Hermione sighed softly and submerged her legs in the lake.
I didn't feel the bone-chilling cold, nor did I feel the resistance of the water.
She pulled herself together again, "Okay, let's go."
Vincent handed her a headset connected to the magic communicator, and after she put it on, he took her little hand and jumped into the Black Lake together.
Unlike the dark tones on the outside, the water inside the lake is actually very clear.
He couldn't help but think of the cave where Voldemort hid Slytherin's locket, where there was also a large, cold and dark lake.
The difference is that there are many underwater creatures living in the Black Lake, while there are only countless Inferi made by depriving life.
"Test test - can you hear me?"
"Received, the sound is fine."
After testing the headset, it’s time to dive deeper.
I had just dived a few meters when I saw a figure rising rapidly in the distance.
Vincent and Hermione looked at each other and quickly used the mirror curse to lock the space in front of them.
The man actually didn't notice the two of them. He was only wearing a pair of underwear and his skin was extremely pale. He must have stayed under the cold black lake for a long time.
"It's Krum!" Hermione relaxed her guard. "It seems that he chooses to believe Harry just like Fleur."
Vincent's expression became a little strange. "The Durmstrang ship is docked on the other side of the lake. Why did he come here?"
Hermione raised the corners of her mouth slightly, and approached him with a smile, "It must be to familiarize yourself with the environment here in advance."
"Yeah." He turned his head away. "Then you don't have to wear just your underwear. You're already a seventh-year student. Don't you know how to combine the head-bubbling spell with the body protection spell?"
Hermione looked back at Krum who was about to float to the surface of the lake.
He's in good shape, strong and stocky, but that's about it.
Her eyes moved downward, from Vincent's exposed neck to his clothed chest.
Some things are not as simple as they seem on the surface. You have to experience them yourself to know the real situation.
She shook her head vigorously to cool down her hot face.
Seeing that Vincent was still looking at something with his head tilted to the side, she gently moved the water with her little hands and moved closer to him again.
"Not everyone is as good as you. Krum has to train as a professional golfer, so how can he take care of his studies at the same time?"
"Oh."
It's such an obvious perfunctory response, he is obviously jealous.
She held Vincent's big hand tightly. "Look, you have to go to class during the day and find time to draw a new map. At night, you have to train Harry's physical fitness and improve his flying boots. Only after you finish these things can you build your dream car from one screw to another."
She held up his big hands, her eyes sparkling, "And you haven't just been busy recently. Since the first grade, you have been able to take care of so many things at the same time. I dare say there is no one better than you in the world."
Vincent felt a little embarrassed by her praise, "Uh... really..."
"Of course." Hermione looked at him very seriously, "My boyfriend is the best in every aspect, and he also has the superpower to turn cloudy days into sunny days. Being with you, I feel like I like myself more."
Her lethality was too strong, and the nuclear-level praise made Vincent melt on the spot.
He pretended to be calm, but the corners of his mouth that couldn't stop rising wildly betrayed his mood at the moment.
He decided to treasure this memory and play it on loop whenever he had a fight in the future.
"Well...Krum seems to have come ashore. Let's continue diving."
"Wait!" Hermione tilted her head and raised her hand, recording his confused expression through the magic communicator.
"Hmm?" Vincent was full of question marks.
She winked mischievously, "I haven't learned how to extract memories yet."
Vincent's expression quickly returned to normal. She put away the smirk on her face and patted his head with her little hand in a serious tone, "Okay, stop making trouble. You look shy..."
She paused for a few seconds, and a smirk appeared on her lips again, "It's actually very precious."
Vincent was stunned and let her touch his head through the protective spell and the head-bubbling spell.
She was shy at first when holding hands, then became bolder and bolder, and now she's actively teasing me.
Vincent suddenly grabbed her little hand, and the thin film covering the surface of their bodies disappeared, replaced by a large bubble that could isolate the surrounding water flow.
His expression turned serious, "Don't move, there's something in your eye."
Hermione was stunned at first, until she belatedly loosened her teeth and then reacted.
There was nothing else in her eyes except Vincent.
