Chapter 1075 Wayne Media
Rita Skeeter is the news queen of the wizarding world. Even though she has disappeared for almost a year, she is still a legend in the media industry.
On this day, she openly brought the former editor-in-chief of the Prophet, Guffy, her exclusive photographer, Bozo, and John Hollingworth, a former reporter of the consultation column of Witch Weekly and her die-hard fan, to the lobby on the eighth floor underground of the Ministry of Magic.
"Rita Skeeter!?" The lady at the front desk announced her arrival in shock and fear.
Moments later, a team of Magical Law Enforcement surrounded the four.
Rita gave her signature smirk and reached out to gently lift the jewel-encrusted gold-rimmed glasses that rested on the bridge of her nose.
She glanced at Bozo, then glanced at the execution team with contempt, "Are you trying to arrest me?"
She certainly had the confidence to show up in the Ministry of Magic in such a high profile manner.
However, the execution team completely ignored her. Just as they were about to take the people away, John took out two thick codes from the crocodile leather handbag he was carrying.
One is the "Basic Laws of the Ministry of Magic" and the other is the "Wizengamot Code".
"Thank you, John." Rita took the two codes and held them up high with confidence.
"I have a question." She walked towards the law enforcement team with a dignified manner, "Excuse me, which law did I break?"
The Ministry of Magic's original warrant against her was for spreading false rumors, but this crime did not exist in the Basic Law of the Ministry of Magic and the Wizengamot Code.
The law enforcement team's eyes widened.
To put it bluntly, the wanted order was used to scare Rita. They thought she had been missing for almost a year because she was scared, but they didn't expect that she was just trying to avoid the limelight.
If we catch the person now, what if she sues the Ministry of Magic for abuse of power?
They are just small fry in the department, and if they win the lawsuit they will become scapegoats.
The law enforcement team was in a dilemma and had no choice but to report to higher-ups.
A moment later, Umbridge, dressed in pink, came over.
Rita shook her head in disappointment. "Another scapegoat."
Umbridge exploded on the spot, her voice much higher than before, "Who are you talking about? Who is the scapegoat?"
Rita gave her signature fake smile again, "Oh~ My dear Senior Undersecretary, I think the Ministry of Magic should draft an Image Management Act as soon as possible."
Everyone could tell who she was mocking, and the wizards watching the show in the hall couldn't help laughing.
Umbridge's face turned red with anger. "Miss Skeeter, what do you mean! If you are here to provoke the Ministry of Magic--"
"Wait." Rita pretended to be afraid and took a few steps back. "My dear Senior Undersecretary, I just gave you a suggestion. How did it become a provocation to the Ministry of Magic?"
Bozo moved aside and secretly took a picture of Umbridge's hideous face.
Even though Rita, who exploited legal loopholes, is not a good citizen, can the Ministry of Magic just frame her at will?
"How dare you!" Umbridge's shrill voice soared into the sky, and everyone in the hall felt as if their ears were stabbed by a knife.
"Rita Skeeter, according to Article 233 of the Basic Law of the Ministry of Magic, your behavior has constituted a serious threat to the Ministry of Magic. I am now formally arresting you!"
Rita stepped back in fear again, and Bozo perfectly captured her desperate eyes and staggering steps.
Just as Rita was about to play the victim in front of the hidden camera, Fudge came out of the elevator with a cane.
Umbridge, who was about to arrest someone, became quiet in an instant, but her eyes were still fierce, as if she wanted to eat Rita alive.
But her wish was doomed to fail, because Fudge greeted Rita with a big smile on his face, "Oh - isn't this our news queen? What brings you here?"
Rita shook the two codes in her hands, "Minister Fudge, I'm here to do business."
The smile on Fudge's face paused for a moment, "Really? What exactly happened?"
As soon as Rita extended her hand, her die-hard fan John took out a document from his crocodile leather handbag and said, "My dear Minister, I am here to apply to set up a company."
Fudge took the document casually and began to look through it.
His pupils suddenly contracted, and the smile on his face froze. "Wayne Media? Ms. Skeeter, it seems you have found a big backer."
Rita adjusted her glasses and said, "Minister, you are joking. What's the point of having a backer? We are just a cooperative relationship."
The "Wayne" in Wayne Media is very telling.
Following Gwent, alchemical products, magic appliances, and flying boots, Wayne Enterprises has unexpectedly extended its tentacles into the media industry.
Fudge groaned, assessing the pros and cons.
Since it’s called the media, it definitely won’t be a print media like The Daily Prophet.
If he guessed correctly, Wayne Media should be similar to Muggle TV news, so the broadcasting platform can only be magic home appliances.
The Ministry of Magic controls the base station and can block the interface at any time.
A media company whose destiny is controlled by others is not a big deal. What Fudge cares about is why Vincent would cooperate with Rita.
It was obvious that these two people had no relationship before, and Rita even wrote a lot of deliberately slanderous articles. Logically speaking, they should have nothing in common.
Is there something you are dissatisfied with?
Fudge turned and glanced at Umbridge, who was so frightened that she lowered her head in panic.
The incident at Rookwood ended with the accidental detonation of an illegally modified Muggle-handled wooden-handled grenade confiscated by the Aurors, which would have certainly made Vincent, a Muggle-born wizard, feel unhappy.

Fudge smiled and took out a quill from his suit pocket and signed his name on the last page of the application.
It is easier to start a company in the wizarding world than in the Muggle world, but the necessary formalities are still required.
First, you have to register your business with the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and then, depending on the nature of your company, you can choose to go to the Office for the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts, the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, the Department of Potions Materials, the Department of Magical Transport and other departments to sign agreements and accept supervision.
If it involves foreign countries, it is also necessary to register with the Department of International Magical Trade.
There are quite a lot of departments that a media company needs to visit. After all, when it comes to news reporting, in principle, even the goblin liaison office needs to be visited.
But with the signature of the Minister of Magic, all the tedious procedures only need to be a formality.
Fudge handed the signed document to Rita, "Ms. Skeeter, I am looking forward to the future development of Wayne Media."
Rita took the document very respectfully and said, "Mr. Minister, we will definitely not let you down."
It was expected that he would be the focus of attention. If he was just sarcastic to the Ministry of Magic occasionally, Fudge should not be so petty as to cause trouble.
Rita handed the document to John, who solemnly put it into his alligator leather handbag.
With her keen sense gained from years of being a reporter, she had long realized that there must be some unspeakable secret between Vincent and Fudge, and now it seems that the secret is quite big.
She is very curious, but since she met Vincent, she has deeply understood the truth that "curiosity kills the cat."
No matter what secret there was between him and Fudge, from today on, Rita Skeeter would move towards her new goal of becoming the queen of media.
