Chapter 1143 It's really a ghost
In fighter jet form, the Night Scream can reach a top speed of Mach 10, and it only takes 5 minutes to travel from Berlin to the Black Forest.
The old witch party members who had been imprisoned for half a century did not know what a magic communicator was. They only knew that they were doomed.
"Click, click—" The collision of the scorpion-tailed beast's pincers made a sound that made people's scalps tingle.
Although the sting of a young scorpion tail beast is not fatal, a single sting will paralyze the entire body. If it is in a cage, it is not so bad, but if you are not careful on top of the cage, you will fall into the abyss-like nest.
Vincent turned on the automatic cruise function of the Voice of the Night and looked down. A dense crowd of scorpion tail beasts were climbing up.
Their skin has magic resistance second only to that of a fire dragon's scales, making it difficult for conventional magic to have any effect.
The magic wand is of little use here. If it weren't for the fact that Flamel's Ring couldn't turn into liquid like the magic communicator, Pandora's firepower would be enough to take them away from Extag.
Old Kramer was starting to panic as he watched the scorpion tail beasts approaching. "Young man, if this continues, we'll be eaten by them before we even get a breath of fresh air!"
Panic spread quickly, and before they lost control, Vincent reshaped the grappling gun he had reshaped his mithril robe into a flamethrower with his bare hands.
Since he had no wand, he could only simply carve a set of magical runes that could spray fire.
He pulled the trigger, and a ball of flame half a meter high was sprayed out.
Several scorpion tail beasts were engulfed by the flames. Living in darkness, they were indeed afraid of fire.
Proficient in silent spells and wandless spellcasting, and even able to reshape alchemical creations with their bare hands, the old people of the Witch Party seemed to see hope again.
But there was only one flamethrower, and the scorpion tail beasts kept climbing up in large numbers.
The surrounding rock walls have been occupied by them, and some have even climbed up the chains.
Old Kramer used all his strength to kick away a scorpion tail beast that was climbing down the chain.
Even though it was only the size of a palm, it still made him breathless.
Another scorpion-tailed beast climbed down the chain, opening its two pairs of pincers fiercely. Before it landed on the iron cage, it was kicked away by an old Witch Party member next to old Kramer.
"Thanks, Isolde."
The old woman named Isolde was as thin as a bamboo pole. "Bernard, where does that young man come from? Is he really going to take us out?"
Old Cramer's eyes were filled with nostalgia and anticipation. "He is Vincent Wayne, claiming to be Nicolas Flamel's apprentice. He also said that the Prophet Grindelwald was his teacher."
"What!?" Isolde quickly calmed down after a brief moment of surprise.
Prophet is the respectful title given to Grindelwald within the Witch Party. They deify his predictive ability as "guidance from destiny". If the Prophet Grindelwald is really the young man's teacher, then they will definitely be able to leave Extag safely.
Isolde is not the only one who holds such fanatical ideas. More than half of the 39 Wiccan elders are fanatical followers of Grindelwald.
Even after half a century of physical torture, they always believed that their prophet would come to save them.
And the day has finally arrived.
"Just a scorpion-tailed beast!" The frail bodies of the Wucui Party elders burst out with powerful strength.
They seemed to have endless energy, and faced with the vast army of scorpion-tailed beasts, they no longer had the initial fear they had.
Time passed second by second, and the surrounding rock walls were burned black by the flames.
Vincent suddenly loosened his grip on the trigger of the flamethrower, and the magic communicator vibrated as a reminder.
He turned on the projection screen and controlled the Voice of the Night to aim the sword-like nose at the huge gear at the entrance of Extag.
"Everyone, be careful with the shaking!"
The old men of the Wu Cui Party stopped one after another, and just as they were wondering, a loud noise suddenly came from above their heads.
The violent shaking left them no time to think about what was happening. Some of them hurriedly grabbed the chains, while others lay down and held on to the iron cage tightly.
The invisible Sound of the Night passed through the giant gear arch at a speed of Mach 10, and the impact it brought caused the entire tiankeng to shake violently.
The moonlight poured down wantonly, completely breaking the dark environment that Eckstag had painstakingly maintained.
No one knew what was happening, including the jailers who were rushing down to check the situation.
The giant gear arch at the prison entrance was mysteriously broken open, which was clearly a premeditated attack.
"That old devil Schmidt..." The tall wizard who was supposed to leave called the other four wizards and ran quickly to the storage warehouse.
They had just left not long ago when the alarm sounded. They rushed back to investigate and found out that the cause was that they were suddenly attacked after confiscating the magic communicator from Schmidt.
If I'm not mistaken, that old ghost Schmidt committed a crime on purpose to get in jail. His real purpose is to escape from prison with that damn witch party.
The group of five wizards didn't care about the chains that were broken due to the shaking. They ran while knocking away the falling rocks above their heads, and rushed to the bottom floor through the spiral staircase hidden in the rock wall as quickly as possible.
The tall wizard running in the front suddenly slowed down and looked at the scene in the sinkhole through the hidden window in disbelief.
The fallen rocks, broken iron cages and chains were actually suspended in the air, as if they were supported by a pair of invisible hands.
"It's really weird!" The tall wizard cast a spell to break the rock wall and saw an even more unbelievable scene.
The damn witch party at the bottom actually tied the iron chains together and stood on a simple platform made of iron cages.
"Schmidt!" he shouted, casting various spells in succession.
Something extraordinary happened. His spell seemed to have hit an invisible barrier, and it was still a long distance away from the witches.
"What on earth is going on..." The tall wizard stared at the fallen rocks, iron cages and chains floating in the air.
Whatever was holding them up seemed to be the same thing that had blocked the spell.
He took a deep breath and jumped down decisively under the horrified gazes of his four companions.
With a "thump", he landed on the invisible object.
Invisible but with substance, this thing is not magic, but a man-made creation!
"Reveal yourself urgently!"
The tall wizard watched with wide eyes as his own Apparition spell was blocked and then disappeared.
"Captain Mueller!" one of his companions shouted from above. "Get out of the way! The door is about to fall down!"
The tall wizard named Muller looked up in shock and saw that half of the giant gear arch hanging below the sinkhole was crumbling, as if it would fall down at any time.
Without warning, the thing he was standing on began to magically rise.
He hurriedly looked down and found that the simple platform where the witches were located was connected to this invisible object by iron chains.
"Schmidt!"
Mueller was suddenly stunned.
Because the man in the robe was not Helmut Schmidt at all, but a blond, blue-eyed young man.
