Chapter 1204 Peeves' New Treaty
Even though Vincent was listed as the most wanted criminal by the British Ministry of Magic, Hogwarts Castle still recognized his status as a school director.
Therefore, the unequal treaty signed between Peeves and him is equally valid.
"Dear Regent," Peeves said, his face beaming, his eyes narrowed into slits, and he leaned forward slightly, as if ready to crawl at any moment. "Next time, if you need anything, please tell me what you want, and I'll be right there in front of you."
It felt particularly uncomfortable to be dragged from the dungeon all the way to the top of the girls' dormitory tower by the huge stone hand that drilled out of the wall. Every time it was dragged through the walls and floors, it would recall the miserable experiences of being trapped for several days and nights last year.
Peeves is neither a traditional ghost nor an ordinary spirit; it is a mischievous entity formed by the materialization of chaotic energy, a poltergeist that can touch and interfere with matter.
If it weren't for the damn authority of the school board, how could it be forced to sign that even more damn unequal treaty.
Vincent neither agreed nor refused Peeves' request.
He gave an approachable smile, but in Peeves' eyes, the smile was not friendly at all. Instead, it was like the scales of a poisonous snake, flashing with threat and fear.
"Really?" His smile suddenly became a little strange. "Will you really appear in front of me right away?"
Peeves nodded vigorously. "Of course! As long as it's Director Wayne's order, I will do my best to complete it!"
Vincent put away the smile on his face and asked, "Why were you in the Slytherin common room just now?"
"Um..." Peeves' eyes rolled, "Um... I'm actually preparing a gift."
It floated up and flew around pretentiously, its eyes wide open, and it looked like it was lying. "The new professor is too strict! If it weren't for my alarm clock, they would definitely be late!"
Not only clever, but also smart.
The smile that had disappeared reappeared on Vincent's face. Peeves, who was stared at by him, twisted his body uncomfortably. "Dear Mr. Director, I am your most loyal brother. If you ask me, I will kick even Dumbledore down the stairs."
Vincent's smile grew wider. "What if I ask you to kick that new professor you mentioned?"
Peeves's smile revealed a hint of flattery. "So the director wants to deal with Professor Toad? That's great!"
It kicked the air fiercely. "I've been annoyed with her for a long time. Whenever she comes to school, the air becomes disgusting."
The curse of the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and Peeves' endless pranks would make any normal person pack up and leave overnight.
But if it was Umbridge...
It’s hard to say, after all, no one can understand the thoughts of a pervert.
Vincent, standing on the edge of the tower, looked at the time and then took out an ancient scroll from Flamel's ring.
Peeves watched the scroll open with eager eyes. Every word on it symbolized humiliation.
Hogwarts has been established for nearly a thousand years, and there has never been a situation where one person holds all seven board seats.
Vincent snapped his fingers and used the flames on his fingertips to add a new treaty to the ancient scroll.
"Article 27. In the interest of fostering a harmonious campus, as long as Dolores Jane Umbridge appears within the confines of Hogwarts, all restrictions on Peeves will be lifted. However, the target of his pranks may only be Umbridge."
Peeves blinked his big eyes and turned to look at Vincent. "My dear Mr. Wayne, what if Professor Toad is not in school?"
"Follow the original treaty."
Peeves' big eyes rolled around, revealing a sinister and evil smile.
Removing all restrictions means it can do any kind of mischief at any time, anywhere.
Professor Toad is so perverted, he must have a strong psychological endurance.
It would be too boring if it broke after a few plays.
Peeves, his mouth almost stretched to the back of his head, stretched out his short hand and placed his fingerprint on the bottom of the new treaty.
The ancient scroll was engulfed by the flames that appeared out of nowhere, and after a brief burning, it became even older.
Vincent put the scroll into Flamel's ring and then took an A-shaped ball from the bracelet on his wrist. "Use this to contact me if there's an emergency."
Peeves caught the A-ball, tapped it gently with his fingers, and then looked at it carefully under his big eyes.
"How should this thing—" Peeves looked up and found that Vincent had disappeared.
It floated out of the tower and looked down, but still couldn't find any trace of him.
A living person just disappeared out of thin air, it was even spookier than a ghost.
Peeves suddenly shuddered for no apparent reason, as if he sensed some danger.
It subconsciously shrank back to the tower, and a strong whirlwind blew from bottom to top.
It's broad daylight, it's really weird.
Peeves swore as he made his way across the spire and along the wall back to the Slytherin common room.
As a chaotic neutral rule breaker, how could it give up halfway?

In the Scottish Highlands, the Voice of the Night lifted its stealth mode and entered high-speed cruising mode.
At speeds exceeding Mach 10, stealth no longer matters.
Inside the double cabin, Hermione looked at everything here curiously.
The cockpit of the Voice of the Night had changed a lot. The decoration was still the simple and restrained style she liked, but there were many devices and buttons that she didn't recognize.
If she guessed correctly, these should all belong to weapon systems.
Vincent, sitting next to her, pushed the handlebars into the console, turning on the autopilot mode. "When we're in New York, should we go for a stroll on Fifth Avenue?"
Hermione looked away, "Okay."
20 minutes later, the sound of the night slowly landed in Manhattan, New York.
It's already afternoon in the UK, but it's only noon in the US.
Manhattan's streets are divided into two different layouts. The north side is New York's classic checkerboard street network, while the south side is a series of streets that are not horizontal or vertical and are not named with numbers.
Fifth Avenue is among these seemingly chaotic streets, as are the famous Wall Street and Broadway.
As soon as Vincent and Hermione got off the plane, they heard a gunshot. Although the United States does not ban guns, it is still very rare in bustling New York, especially in Manhattan.
"Bang—bang bang bang—"
The gunshots became more and more frequent, and Hermione suddenly had the illusion of being in Gotham.
Oh, no, the prototype of Gotham City is the bustling metropolis of New York. It can only be said that reality is always more magical than fiction.
Vincent on the side was also speechless.
I just got off the plane, why are you so enthusiastic?
"Well... let's go to the Broadway next door."
Hermione held his hand tightly, "Okay."
If you want to go to Broadway, you have to pass through Wall Street, which is only 11 meters wide. This street, which is only one-third of a mile long, has banks opened by the Rothschild Consortium, the Morgan Consortium, the Rockefeller Oil King, the Goldman Sachs Group and the DuPont Consortium.
The management offices of insurance, shipping, railway and other companies are concentrated here. The famous New York Stock Exchange is also here, as well as Nasdaq, American Stock Exchange, New York Futures Exchange, etc.
Although Wall Street is small, it is world-famous as the financial center of the United States.
