Chapter 1242 Wayne Media Company
Wayne Media is a company that spun out of Wayne Enterprises, but this media company located in Diagon Alley, the former headquarters of the Prophet's Newspaper, is no ordinary company.
The former editor-in-chief of the Prophet newspaper serves as the company's president, and former well-known domestic and international journalists serve as the company's director and planner. Even the seemingly insignificant photographer is a remarkable person who has recorded countless classic moments.
Under their management, the dubidubi video platform has seen its performance soar. More than 80% of the series produced in the global wizarding world choose to advertise on the platform, and even broadcast the highly anticipated fourth season of "The Legend of Gryffindor" simultaneously.
Thanks to this critically acclaimed hit series, the overseas sales of the Fork brand reached a new high. Sirius Black became the "most insightful" business owner, Remus Lupin became an internationally renowned director, and Heller Colbert, who played Godric Gryffindor, transformed from an unknown graduate of the Magical Drama Academy into the perfect male god in the hearts of countless witches, with popularity even more terrifying than Gilderoy Lockhart back then.
Today, the cast and crew of "Gryffindor" visited Wayne Media to promote the upcoming fifth season.
Their high-profile appearance caused Diagon Alley to be packed with enthusiastic fans, and the screams from the fans seemed to tear the atmosphere apart the moment Heller Colbert took off his sunglasses.
Fortunately, Wayne Media was well-prepared and had hired a large number of wizards as guards in advance; otherwise, the Gryffindor crew would certainly not have been able to escape unscathed.
"Wayne Media Company..." Sirius looked up at the white sign with black lettering with a touch of sadness.
He shook his head and led the film crew through the gate.
Unlike the once medieval-style Prophet's Newspaper, Wayne Media has maintained Wayne Enterprises' consistent minimalist interior design style.
The lobby floor is paved with Caesar Black marble, creating a visually striking, continuous spatial effect. The high-gloss floor, along with the exposed steel structure, concrete walls, and crystal chandeliers, forms an open and transparent space that exudes understated elegance.
"Welcome!" Wayne Media's president, Gu Fei, personally came to the lobby to greet the film crew. "It's only been a few months, and I didn't expect we'd be working together again."
Sirius Black grasped his warm hand. "Mr. Gufair, I never imagined the show would go on to have a fifth season."
That's the truth. The Legend of Gryffindor was originally made to increase the competitiveness of the Gryffindor brand. No one in the entire crew expected the show to become so popular.
Gu Fei smiled and shook his head. "Mr. Black, you are too modest. If you hadn't decided to spend a lot of money to produce a high-quality wizarding series, the magical film and television industry would never have developed as it has today."
Following the success of "The Legend of Gryffindor," the British wizarding world saw a surge of large-scale productions such as "Merlin" and "Wizards of Glory," which spurred the rapid development of the wizarding film and television industry in various countries.
Guffer's praise brought a touch of sadness to Sirius's face again, and Lupin stepped forward to change the subject: "Please forgive me, Mr. Guffer."
Lu Ping glanced back at the enthusiastic fans outside the door. "Time is limited. Shouldn't we finish recording the show as soon as possible?"
Gu Fei smiled apologetically at the crew, "It's my fault, I actually forgot about your current popularity."
He nodded slightly and apologized again, "Rita has prepared everything upstairs. Please follow me."
While Wayne Media isn't doing very well in the UK, it's a complete media giant internationally.
In the 90s, before the Muggle Internet had fully developed, as long as Wayne Media's management didn't go crazy, they could maintain their position as a giant thanks to the Dubidubi video platform.
The cast and crew of "Gryffindor" followed Gufy into the elevator to the large studio on the 6th floor.
Rita, the director and planner, is also the host of multiple programs. Her personal channel has over 200,000 followers, meaning that one in ten wizards follows her channel.
Wayne Media has more than one studio, and this cozy studio was specially built for Rita's new show.
Dressed as strikingly as ever, she saw Gu Fei leading the crew into the room, so she got up and left the backstage workroom to greet them.
"It's been a long time, Mr. Black, Mr. Lupin, Mr. Colbert, and everyone from the Gryffindor cast and crew."
Before you see her, you hear her voice – that's Rita for you.
Sirius frowned as he watched Rita, dressed in a bright red robe, approach step by step.
Although they had met many times, he never really liked her.
Rita realized this early on, and after a few simple pleasantries, they officially began recording the new program.
"Tonight, the Wizarding World is Open" is a talk show that imitates the Hong Kong Muggle variety show "Tonight, the Wizarding World is Open". It has no script and is entirely improvised.
As the first guest, the entire cast and crew of "The Legend of Gryffindor" remained highly tense, fearing that Rita might suddenly bring up some sensitive topics.
“Mr. Lupin,” surprisingly, Rita looked at Lupin, who was in charge of directing, first, “As we all know, you have had many jobs before becoming a director, and you even served as a professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. With such a wide range of jobs, I am very curious about what you were thinking when you decided to make ‘The Legend of Gryffindor’.”
Lupin smiled slightly, making the scars on his face look much softer. "As for the idea... I was actually forced into it. Around this time last year, Sirius approached me and said he had a way to increase the sales of the Fork brand products."

Rita turned her gaze to Sirius, “The first live-action Wizarding series, Mr. Black, I never knew you were so talented.”
Her cunning gaze gave Sirius a sudden sense of foreboding.
“We all know that Mr. Black was wrongly accused by the Ministry of Magic of being a heinous Death Eater.” Her eyes shone brighter than the jewels set in her glasses.
"It just so happens that the Ministry of Magic recently 'meticulously planned' an operation, and Rodolphus Lestrange is unfortunately still alive. Mr. Black, could you tell us what kind of person he is?"
Faced with such a shocking topic, Sirius simply answered with a single word: "Madman."
Rita, of course, wouldn't let him off so easily. "A madman? What kind of madman is he?"
Sirius took a deep breath, his expression turning somewhat pained, as if recalling his memories of Azkaban.
"Rodolphus Lestrange appears to be a gentleman, but in reality he is a cruel and dangerous individual with severe sadistic tendencies."
"Then he——"
“Miss Skeeter,” Lupin changed the subject again at the opportune moment, “let’s talk about something lighter. This topic is too heavy for many people.”
Rita gently pushed up her jeweled glasses perched on her nose. "Mr. Lupin, the scope of our 'The Wizarding World Is Open Tonight' is just this wide. Of course, you have the right to choose not to answer."
Lupin glanced at Sirius with great concern.
Few people dare to talk about Death Eaters in public, and Rita Skeeter's courage far exceeded everyone's expectations.
