Chapter 773 Grindelwald's Final Teachings
There is a dense forest in western Austria. It looks deserted, but there are many wizards hiding in the dark.
Their only mission is to prevent any living creature from approaching.
Because deep in the mountains on the other side of the jungle, there stands a cold and dark fortress.
It has been the nightmare of European wizards for more than half a century.
But tonight, the fortress had a special guest.
He appeared outside the range of the anti-Apparition magic. The anti-intrusion spells in the jungle had no reaction to him at all. Even the wizards on guard did not notice his arrival.
At 8:20 pm, Vincent stopped in front of Nurmengard Castle.
He knocked lightly on the heavy door with his cane, and the next second the door opened automatically in front of him.
The environment inside was exactly the same as I remembered, but the annoying musty smell had completely disappeared and the air was much fresher.
He climbed the rotten and dilapidated stairs to the top floor, his eyes fixed on the room at the end of the corridor that was lit with soft candlelight.
Vincent walked over slowly, and the wall lamps lit up one by one.
It was a magnificent room with a particularly large space inside. There were more than a dozen ebony bookcases placed inside. It was completely different from the decayed and dilapidated appearance on the outside.
"Come in?" Grindelwald, who was sitting on the sofa by the window, closed the book in his hand and raised his hand to motion for him to come in and sit down.
Six years - should be two years. The Dark Lord who almost conquered the world is still full of vigor and vitality, completely different from the outside world's impression of the old man with almost no teeth falling out.
Vincent sat on the sofa opposite him, leaning his cane casually against the table, "Teacher, did you know I would come over tonight?"
Grindelwald snapped his fingers in the air, and two cups of steaming black tea suddenly appeared on the table.
"Yes." He glanced at the cane leaning against the table. "I saw you walk in here with a cane, but I didn't expect you to build this thing."
Its amplification power is comparable to that of the Elder Wand, and it can even cast two spells at the same time.
Vincent picked up the cane and restored it to its double snake shape, "Teacher, then you must not have foreseen what is happening now."
The flowing mithril slowly covered the double snake staff, and its shape changed into a long-barreled pistol.
Grindelwald didn't seem surprised. "Being able to cast spells without chanting or making gestures is indeed the direction of wizard development."
"Uh..." Vincent quickly put down his long-barreled pistol.
Grindelwald smiled and picked up the teacup. "Tell me, you are not bored and come to visit an old man like me."
Vincent suddenly had the illusion that he was seen through.
Your teacher is still your teacher after all. Don't be complacent just because you have achieved some success.
Especially in front of such a big boss.
Vincent held the teacup in both hands, "Teacher, our divination professor has a new prophecy."
"about you?"
"Yes." He picked up the teacup and took a sip of red tea.
"She said I would demonstrate terrible power, then she said I would bring long-lasting darkness and fear, and finally she said I would completely destroy all rules and order."
Grindelwald's smile widened. "It's good. It's just as I predicted."
Vincent put down his teacup with an anxious look on his face, "Do you have any idea what will happen to my relatives and friends?"
Grindelwald shook his head slightly. "What I foresaw was a scene. If you want to know, I can tell you now."
Foreknowledge is different from prophecy. Foreknowledge can be changed, but prophecy cannot.
“No.” Vincent laughed at himself, “I don’t want the future to be worse.”
The scene that could make this big guy take a fancy to me must not be a good one.
Grindelwald looked a little surprised, "Albus said a while ago that you have grown a lot. It seems to be true."
I have to be extremely cautious when competing with old man Deng every day.
These big guys not only have powerful magic powers, but are also very good at calculating people's hearts. If you are not careful, you may be tricked at any time.
Even if there is no life-threatening danger.
Grindelwald held the teacup and drank the tea elegantly. "You are worried about your relatives and friends, right?"
Vincent let out a long sigh of relief. "Yeah, this damn prophecy came true not earlier or later, but when I was planning to enjoy my campus life..."
Grindelwald listened to his complaints patiently.
Where there is gain there is loss, life is full of helplessness.
"Our Divination professor also predicted that Voldemort would be resurrected. Unless he brazenly breaks into the British Ministry of Magic, those politicians with rigid thinking will definitely not announce this news to the public..."
Interesting, the dark lord that was defeated by a baby is coming back.
Vincent, who was talking until his mouth was dry, drank the tea in the cup in one gulp. As soon as he put the empty cup on the table, the tea in it was automatically filled up again.
He drank another cup of black tea and said, "Teacher, what do you think I should do?"
Grindelwald leaned over with one hand on the sofa, his eyes focused and serious.
"You are becoming more and more like Albus. You are always restricted in everything you do."
Vincent smiled bitterly, "I don't have as strong magic power as you."
Grindelwald's heterochromatic eyes stared into his azure blue ones. "You underestimate your own power."
He has a high level of magical attainment, and possesses artifacts such as the Double Snake Caduceus, as well as an endless supply of alchemical props, and is not even affected by the side effects of black magic.
As long as Vincent dares, occupying the Ministry of Magic by force will not be a problem at all.
But like Dumbledore, he has too many things to worry about.
Grindelwald stopped looking into his eyes and sat back down nonchalantly.
"If you really care about your family and friends, you should eliminate all threats to you as soon as possible."
Vincent's pupils trembled, and a crazy idea flashed through his mind.
If rules and order are holding you back, smash them to pieces.
What about the Ministry of Magic?
What about the International Confederation of Wizards?
"Teacher, I understand."
Grindelwald waved him off. "Go ahead. I have nothing more to teach you."
Vincent stared at him.
"What you lack now is not time, but determination."
Grindelwald leaned lazily on the sofa, "I'm looking forward to what will happen next."
The Dark Lord who once terrorized the global wizarding world is now in the same state as a fun-loving person.
Vincent took a deep breath, "It's going to be exciting."
Grindelwald had a faint smile on his face and quietly watched his back as he stood up and left the study.
After watching his apprentice leave, it was time for him to return to the image of the old man with almost all his teeth falling out.
The magnificent walls began to peel off bit by bit, revealing the decay and dilapidated appearance after years of baptism.
