Chapter 848: The Dark Mark Reappears
The Dark Mark has long become a cruel and bloody history, a painful memory that no one wants to recall.
In 1970, when He Who Must Not Be Named led the Death Eaters to make a high-profile appearance, the First Wizarding War officially began.
How crazy can a group of wizards wearing black robes and masks who don't even know each other's true identities be?
They have no moral restraints, they are proficient in black magic, they are brutal and cruel, they are the purest evil.
In 1973, Dumbledore and many knowledgeable people were disappointed with the Ministry of Magic's ability to deal with the situation, so they took the initiative to gather together and established the "Order of the Phoenix".
But even so, it was impossible to stop the rise of the Death Eaters.
The then Minister of Magic, Eugenia Jenkins, eventually stepped down. Although her successor, Harold Minchem, was a hardliner, he was still unable to solve the problem and resigned after only five years in office.
Until the night of October 1981, 10, the prophecy came true.
The Savior successfully defeated the Dark Lord, and the war that lasted for 11 years finally ended.
This cruel and bloody past should have become history, but the dreaded Dark Mark has reappeared today.
Painful memories instantly flooded into the minds of the wizards. They thought of the Death Eaters, the man whose name could not even be mentioned, and the relatives who had been brutally murdered.
In front of the Potter Monument, accompanied by screams, panicked crowds desperately tried to stay away from the Dark Mark.
After a brief moment of shock, the senior officials of the Ministry of Magic quickly stepped in to restore order, but their efforts were ineffective.
The situation in the front row was fine. Sirius and Lupin held Harry tightly in their arms, while Vincent next to them looked towards his family with a worried look on his face.
Mr. and Mrs. Weasley and their friends were all there, so his parents should be safe.
The real purpose of attracting attention in such a high-profile manner is already very obvious.
Vincent turned around and looked back, and sure enough, Peter Pettigrew was gone.
An anti-Apparition spell had been set up at the scene since the Ministry of Magic came over. The faint magical scent in the air was completely different from that of wizards, but more like that of house-elfs.
He took out the double snake staff from the ring on the index finger of his left hand, intending to break the spell and chase after him.
It is better to rely on himself than on the Ministry of Magic. If he can catch the mouse once, he can catch it a second time.
Dumbledore then appeared before him.
"Professor, it's the magic of the house elves!"
As soon as Vincent finished speaking, Fox turned into a ball of fire and led the two of them to follow the remaining traces.
The other party must have a well-thought-out plan to take someone away in broad daylight.
Before the two people who emerged from the flames could stand firmly, a hot breath came towards them.
The orange-red flames transformed into a gigantic python, which opened its bloody mouth and swallowed a translucent magic barrier.
The flames burned the earth and continued to expand outward.
The Flamel ring worn by Vincent flashed with dazzling light. With the help of the caduceus' ability to cast two magic spells at the same time, he combined the freezing spell and the ice spell to freeze the large area of Fiendfyre.
The fierce fire could burn everything, and the ice that froze them quickly began to melt.
Vincent looked to the side and said, "Professor, how long do you plan to watch the show?"
Dumbledore raised the Elder Wand and said, "Your magic has improved a lot. You can now activate the defensive magic of this ring instantly."
An even more powerful magical aura enveloped the frozen fierce fire, and it and the ice were quickly compressed into a small dot, and finally disappeared into the air.
Only then did Vincent finally realize where he was.
The bottom of a deep canyon, far away from Godric's Hollow, but probably still within England.
Dumbledore slowly lowered his wand.
He frowned slightly, "Lihuo has destroyed all traces around."
Vincent tightened the caduceus in his hand and said, "Professor, the prophecy has come true."
"The most faithful servant is helped by another servant... to break free from the chains that bind him...
The Dark Lord will return with the help of these two servants...more powerful than before...more terrible..."
The most loyal servant in Trelawney's prophecy turns out to be Peter Pettigrew.
Dumbledore frowned, "It looks like he's coming back."
That's how terrible the real prophecy is.
Even if it is successfully prevented, there will always be an invisible hand that pushes the prophecy to come true in all kinds of unexpected ways.
Vincent, who understood this well, stopped clenching the double snake staff in his hand and said, "Professor, he should still be just a broken soul now. He must want to get his original body back."
Voldemort's body disappeared with the wind on that night 13 years ago. After all, parasitism cannot exert its full power. Taking back the body may be the first step to make a comeback.
In front of Dumbledore, Vincent took out Grindelwald's magic book from Flamel's ring and quickly found three ways.
1. Restore the body through the top-level magic potion,
Second, slowly transform a suitable body through black magic.
3. Achieve resurrection through evil rituals.
No matter which one it is, it will cost a huge price.
Voldemort's original body had undergone a lot of magical modifications, so it is very likely that all three methods were used at the same time.
Dumbledore looked at him strangely as he closed the spellbook. "Gellert gave it to you?"
The tone sounds sour, I'm afraid you're jealous.
Vincent put away the magic book with a vigilant look in his eyes. "Professor, although we can't stop Tom from coming back, we can do something to his body."

For example, destroying the balance of the potion, cursing the body in advance, or disrupting the order of the ritual.
But there is a prerequisite here, which is that an undercover agent needs to be placed next to Voldemort.
Snape is a master of potions and can tamper with potions without being discovered.
But there is another prerequisite here, which is how to find Voldemort.
Let Snape get into trouble, preferably like a rat crossing the street, and then wait quietly for people to come and comfort his old subordinate?
Dumbledore twitched his eyes. "Tom never trusts anyone. Unless he is confident enough to control everything, he will not show up easily."
That is to say, before Voldemort got his body back, he would not even come to take a look even if Snape was hung upside down on a tree miserably.
Vincent pouted, "Professor, then we can only wait for him to revive? And then kill him?"
Dumbledore nodded slightly, "Before that, we need to destroy all of his Horcruxes."
The diary and the Gaunt family heirloom ring have been destroyed, and the only Horcrux that can be confirmed is Harry, who is not yet ready.
As for the rest...
Vincent stared at Dumbledore, as if trying to read something from his face.
"Ahem..." Dumbledore coughed, "I'll let you know once I confirm it."
Vincent withdrew his gaze with satisfaction, "Professor, I will wait for your good news."
He is not affected by dark magic and is the perfect person to destroy the Horcrux. Dumbledore could not hide it from anyone else except him.
