Chapter 909: The Secret Base of the Order of the Phoenix
The matter was of great importance, so even though it was a bold and outrageous guess, Sirius and Lupin still spoke it out.
Snape wanted to make a few sarcastic remarks, but every loophole he could find seemed to be self-consistent.
If Peter Pettigrew had really been rescued in the ward, then Scrimgeour's panic was justified.
If a heinous criminal is thrown away before the execution, not only the Director of the Auror Office, but even the Minister of Magic will be held accountable.
What to do if someone is missing? Find a scapegoat immediately.
The British Ministry of Magic has a history of this, and more than once.
"August Rookwood..." Moody muttered the name in a low voice.
His magical eyes moved in a particularly strange way. "If this is true, we still have one last Death Eater to figure out."
First, he quietly rescued Peter Pettigrew from the hospital, and then cast the Dark Mark in Godric's Hollow to rescue Rookwood in the chaos.
Is this meticulous person the one who slipped through the net back then, or is he Voldemort's latest talent?
Everyone's faces turned ugly.
Crazy Death Eaters are not scary. Death Eaters who are strategic and hide in the dark are more scary.
But no matter what, the Order of the Phoenix still has to act in secret for now.
There are a lot of people coming and going in Hogsmeade, and the Hog's Head Pub is often closed, which would easily arouse suspicion.
Sirius hesitated for a moment, "I'll take care of the base problem. I happen to have a perfect place."
After discussing almost everything, Dumbledore stood up and said goodbye to everyone.
After a burst of fire, he returned to the headmaster's office in Hogwarts Castle.
He went to the shelf where the Sorting Hat and the Sword of Gryffindor were placed and placed the Slytherin Locket in the middle.
The whereabouts of two of the relics of the four founders are still unknown. One of them has even been made into a Horcrux, and it is unknown whether it will ever be fully displayed.
Dumbledore smiled faintly and moved to the other side of the shelf.
Apart from an exquisitely crafted pensieve, all that was left here was an old wooden box inlaid with gems.
He picked up the Pensieve and sat at the small round table, then used the Elder Wand to extract a memory from his temple.
After putting the memory into the meditation basin, a gentle face slowly emerged.
Dumbledore put his head close to the silver substance in the basin and entered this memory.
"August Rookwood, the evidence is irrefutable, what else do you have to say?"
That gentle face suddenly became extremely ferocious, "Oh - the great Dark Lord will surely revive again!"
Dumbledore raised his hand and paused the entire court trial.
Rookwood doesn't seem to have any ulterior motives, and he probably isn't the type of person who can endure for so many years.
Then, Sirius and Lupin's guesses were very likely to be correct.
"Who rescued them..." Dumbledore muttered to himself as he exited the memory and extracted the second memory.
A face with a goatee slowly emerged from the silver substance in the Pensieve.
Igor Karkaroff, former Death Eater and current Headmaster of Durmstrang School of Wizardry.
Although he reached a deal with the former head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, Barty the Elder, to reveal the identities of other Death Eaters at the Magical Law Council in exchange for his freedom, he was not completely above suspicion.
Dumbledore entered his memory again, apparently trying to find some clues from the interrogation of that year.

……
evening,
Campsite outside Dartmoor Sports Hall.
When Vincent woke up, he found Tonks was also in the tent.
She was demonstrating the ability of Metamorphosis Magus in the living room on the first floor, sometimes changing into a pig's nose, sometimes into elephant's ears, making her friends laugh.
"Awake?" Hermione got up from the sofa and poured Vincent a glass of warm water.
"I think I overslept." He took the water cup and took a sip. "Why is Tonks here? Doesn't she still have work with the special team?"
Hermione looked at Arthur, Sirius and the others who were sitting together on the other side of the living room. "I don't know the details, but I think it has something to do with the Order of the Phoenix."
Anyone with a discerning eye can see that the British Ministry of Magic is unreliable. Instead of relying on them, it is better to rely on ourselves.
Vincent took another sip of water, "The Order of the Phoenix has been reorganized. Tonks is Sirius' niece and Mr. Moody's student. She should have officially joined."
After saying this he put down his glass of water and motioned for Hermione to follow quietly.
On the other side of the living room, Sirius and Arthur, who were discussing something, didn't notice the two approaching at all.
"Although my family's ancestral home is large, it has fallen into disrepair and has not been properly cleaned for many years."
"Don't you have a house elf at home?"
"Kreacher? That bastard only obeys the orders of my old witch. Who knows if he will secretly sabotage me."
Everyone looked at Molly. She was the only woman here and had the most say in housework.
"Sirius, do you have any cleaning supplies at home?"
"It should be available. If not, you can use magic."
"Magic is just more convenient. If you want to clean thoroughly, you still need tools."
Sirius pointed his wand, caught the parchment and quill that flew over, and wrote down some of the names of the tools that Molly had mentioned.
Vincent and Hermione, who were hiding behind him, looked at each other and went back quietly again.
The reorganized Order of the Phoenix definitely needs a secret base. The Black ancestral home is located on a Muggle street and is hidden by magic, making it a very suitable place.

It’s just the environment inside...
However, if it is really cleaned up and renovated a little, it can be used as a secret base.
Vincent sat on the sofa and glanced at the clock on the wall. "Is it the semi-finals tonight?"
Hermione sat next to him, "Well, the Bulgarian team plays against the Luxembourg team."
The result of the game was basically no suspense, and it seemed that the Bulgarian team could easily advance to the final.
But if you calculate the time, the final day is August 8th, and the next day is the first day of school.
On the last day of August, who knows how many students from magic schools around the world will be writing furiously until dawn.
Vincent and Hermione looked at their friends who were still laughing at Tonks's amusement.
As a model student at Hogwarts, and a top student who had completed grades 1 to 7, he must have finished the 3rd grade homework long ago.
Shortly after dinner ended, the fans in the camp headed towards the stadium in a mighty procession.
The game was indeed a foregone conclusion, with the Bulgarian team eventually winning with a huge advantage of 280:40.
As soon as the award ceremony ended, Bagman, who was serving as the commentator, stood up and left the studio.
He was walking in the corridor leading to the staff lounge when a goblin in gorgeous golden armor suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Ludo, you seem to have forgotten something."
Bagman frowned slightly, "Ferdie? What are you doing here?"
Ferdy smiled coldly, "Come to remind you to do what you are supposed to do."
