Chapter 927: Capturing the Peewee Ghost
2 o'clock in the morning,
The boys' bathroom on the first floor of the castle.
Peeves was swimming happily in the bathtub, as if he had forgotten all the unpleasantness of the day.
"New semester ~ new professor ~ new ideas..."
It hummed a little tune and slapped the water in the bathtub with its short legs.
The floor tiles, walls, and even the ceiling of the bathroom were wet by the splashing water.
"Mad-Eyes~no eyes~no legs..."
"If Professor Moody heard this, he would be very angry."
Peeves rubbed his long pointy ears and continued to hum, "Big eyes, wooden legs, scarred face, no nose..."
"Shhh—someone's coming."
Peeves was so frightened that he jumped out of the bathtub and flew into the air. "Who is it? Come out!"
"I am your conscience."
It suddenly burst into laughter, "Conscience? Mine? This is hilarious."
"Shhh - I mean it, someone's coming."
Peeves looked around, disbelief written all over his face. "You're lying! You must be a member of the Bad Boys League!"
It landed in the bathtub and stuck its head in to take a look, then moved through the cubicles one by one and even crawled into the ventilation duct.
"I don't believe I can't find you...you are so good at hiding...you must be Wayne..."
It searched the entire bathroom but found nothing.
"I told you, I am your conscience."
"What a damn conscience!" Peeves cursed. "You bad boy, you better pray that I don't find you, otherwise——"
"Otherwise what?"
Peeves, floating in the air, quickly turned around and saw a big, harmless face.
"Wayne? It's you!" It flew backwards suddenly, "When did you learn to fly?"
Vincent pointed to the flying boots on his feet and said, "Didn't you watch the broadcast of this year's World Cup? This is my latest invention."
Peeves looked over with envy, "Tsk, what's so great about that?"
It flew around the bathroom and raised its head proudly, "See, this is what flying is all about."
Vincent shook his head, "Stealth mode."
After saying that, he disappeared.
Peeves' eyes widened.
Invisibility cloak? Disillusionment spell?
No, it seems not.
"Let's play a game."
It turned around suddenly.
Vincent disappeared, but his voice kept ringing in my ears: "Come on, let's play games."
Peeves grinned. "Okay, what game do you want to play?"
"Hide and seek, I'm responsible for catching."
It laughed triumphantly, "Hahahaha—Wayne, you're doomed!"
"Then if I win, you will be my little brother from now on."
Peeves made a face at the people around him, "Lululu, wait till you catch me."
With a "pop", it also disappeared.
Vincent's figure slowly emerged.
He took out the Marauder's Map and quickly found Peeves' location.
"Hiding in the girls' dormitory, pretty smart."
There was no need to use the authority of the school director, he only needed to activate the magic projection that had been set up in advance.
"Hello, I found you."
Peeves in the Hufflepuff girls' dormitory was startled by Vincent who suddenly appeared in front of him.
It ran through the wall in terror and hid underground in the dungeon.
Vincent, who was in the boys' bathroom on the first floor, slowly came to the dungeon.
"Alas - this is only the second round."
He stretched out his hand and grabbed, and the floor beneath his feet turned into a big hand and grabbed Peeves up.
"I won."
Peeves' face was filled with resentment. "You cheated! Even if you are a school director, you can't possibly have the authority of a principal!"
Vincent activated his flying boots and flew in front of it. "Really? Then why can I——"
With a snap, Peeves disappeared again.
But soon, another big hand made of mud grabbed it back from the edge of the Black Lake.
"No matter how many times, I can catch you back."
The unbelieving Peeves disappeared again, and was then pulled back from the air by a giant hand that was transformed from a tower spire.
"This is already the third time."
As soon as Vincent finished speaking, it disappeared again.
But no matter where it escapes, it will always be caught back by a big hand that suddenly deforms.
By the seventh time, it seemed to have accepted its fate and stopped running away.
"Admit defeat?"
"Hmph!" Peeves raised his proud little head.
It seems that it is not admitting defeat, but is just tired of running away.
"The game is over. You will be my little brother from now on."
"Don't think about it!"
"But you lost."
Peeves glared at him resentfully, "This isn't fair! You can't use your authority as the principal!"
"Ha..." Vincent was amused. "Why should I talk to you about fairness? If you lose, you lose."
He controlled his big hands and pulled Peeves in front of him, "Be my little brother, and I promise you will have a good life in the future."
"Good life?" Peeves' eyes sparkled. "If you can give me more privileges, I can be your boss."
Vincent looked down at the large hands that restrained it, "It seems that I won."
"That's not important!" Peeves said flatteringly. "My dear school director, what privileges are you going to give me?"
"want to?"
"Uh-huh."
"Call me boss first."
"Boss!"
Vincent nodded with great satisfaction, "Very good."
My dear, there is more to come after this chapter. Please click on the next page to continue reading. There will be more exciting chapters later!
"Ahem—" Peeves blinked his eyes vigorously, as if hinting at something.
"Oh - yes, privilege." Vincent controlled his big hand and let it go.
"Your privilege is to be the first little brother I take in at school."
Peeves rubbed his pointy ears hard. "What? What did you say?"
Vincent waved his hand at it impatiently. "It doesn't matter if you didn't hear it. I didn't promise to give you any special privileges."
Peeves' face turned red with anger. "Big liar!"
"What did I lie to you about?"
Vincent did not agree to give it any privileges; it was all just wishful thinking.
Speaking of cheating...
Pipi pointed at his chest angrily, "You lied to me! You are not my conscience at all!"
Vincent looked at it meaningfully, "No, I'm not lying to you, I am indeed your conscience."
Of course Peeves didn't believe it. "What conscience, Director Wayne? Are you kidding me?"
“No.” Vincent moved his fingers, and seven big hands made of different things also moved.
"You don't have to believe it, and you can try it, but I promise you will believe it in the end."
Peeves looked at the seven large hands that were getting closer and closer, and subconsciously stepped back.
This is not conscience at all, it is pure violence.
Live a good life? The good days are over!
"I don't agree!"
Vincent looked at it with a smile, "You have to admit it."
Seven big hands grabbed it with force.
The big hands gripped tighter and tighter, and Peeves struggled.
Vincent waved his hand at it. "I'm just wondering how to pass the time this year. Don't give in too soon."
He had already finished what he needed to learn last semester, there was no Quidditch House Cup this year, and he had nothing to do with the Triwizard Tournament.
One full year isn't enough? There are still two years to go.
