Chapter 941 Beauxbatons Delegation
The dark mass passed over the treetops of the Forbidden Forest and was soon illuminated by the lights from the castle windows.
The whole school saw a huge powder blue carriage.
It was as big as a house, and twelve winged horses were pulling it into the air.
Pegasus are about the same size as elephants, golden in color, with bright silver manes.
The pale blue carriage flew lower and lower, landing at an incredibly fast speed. The students in the first three rows hurriedly stepped back.
With a loud bang, two horse hooves as big as dinner plates landed not far in front of Vincent.
With continuous "bang bang bang" sounds, 12 golden Pegasus landed in an orderly manner, and the carriage also landed steadily on the ground.
The huge wheels of the carriage were shaking gently, and the Pegasus were shaking their huge heads, and their big red eyes were rolling around.
Vincent reached out and touched the Pegasus's strong front legs.
It's warm, and the golden hair feels particularly delicate.
These huge golden Pegasus are extremely rare divine horses. They not only have beautiful appearance, but also strong physique and extraordinary strength.
Under the gazes of countless people, some surprised, some worried, some envious, and some gloating, he slowly withdrew his hand and stepped back.
James and Alfred quickly gave him a thumbs-up.
Vincent shrugged and returned to the team as if nothing had happened.
The coat of arms door of the carriage was opened from the inside.
The emblem is the school emblem of Beauxbatons, with two golden wands crossed together, and three stars on each wand.
A boy in a light blue robe jumped out of the carriage. He bent down and fumbled for something on the floor of the carriage.
The golden spiral staircase opened and he jumped back respectfully.
A shiny black high-heeled shoe, as big as a child's sled, protruded from the carriage.
Then Madame Maxime leaned out of the carriage gracefully.
She was wearing a black satin coat, her hair was pulled back in a shining bun, and her neck and fingers were glittering with many gorgeous opals.
Even though she was as tall as a giant, her behavior was as graceful and elegant as that of a lady.
The students in the back row stood on tiptoe to see more clearly. Dumbledore led the applause and everyone gave enthusiastic applause.
Madame Maxime smiled gracefully.
She held out a shining hand and walked slowly towards Dumbledore.
In front of her, the tall Dumbledore was just like a child.
He held her big hand and bent down to give the back of her hand a proper French kiss.
It looked like a kiss, but there was no touching at all.
"Dear Madame Maxime, welcome to Hogwarts."
"Dumbledore," Madame Maxime said in a low voice, "I hope everything is alright with you."
Dumbledore smiled and nodded, "Very good, thank you."
As the two men were greeting each other, more than a dozen students got off the carriages one after another.
They were dressed in exquisite silk robes, both men and women, and were probably around eighteen or nineteen years old.
Some of them were shivering slightly, and some had wrapped their heads with scarves or turbans, but no one wore a cloak, as it seemed the thin silk robes were not very warm.
Vincent and Hermione in the front row recognized Gabrielle standing next to them at a glance.
The girl wrapped tightly next to her should be Furong.
The half-Veela wasn't afraid of the cold, so she probably didn't want to cause a commotion.
The two principals exchanged a few polite words, and Madame Maxime raised her big hand and waved gently behind her, "My student."
Dumbledore smiled and nodded at them.
Madame Maxime also looked at the students of Hogwarts.
She saw Vincent in the front row, a happy smile on his face.
Before the Triwizard Tournament was suspended, Beauxbatons had won 62 games and Hogwarts had won 63.
Dumbledore was puzzled, and Madame Maxime cleverly changed the subject, "Is Karkaroff here?"
"He will be here any moment." Dumbledore looked again at the Beauxbatons students shivering in the cold wind.
"Would you like to wait here to greet him, or would you like to go in and warm up first?"
"Let's warm up." Madame Maxime looked at the divine horses with some embarrassment, "But they..."
Dumbledore glanced confidently and calmly in the direction of the Forbidden Forest, "Our Care of Magical Creatures professor will be happy to take care of them."
Suddenly, he seemed to have discovered something, and the corner of his mouth twitched slightly. "He is dealing with a small mess. It was his - um - something else he was responsible for taking care of that had gone wrong."
There is no doubt that this troublesome little mess must be referring to the exploding-tailed skrewt.
Madame Maxime looked worried, "My horses need - um - someone with a lot of strength to take care of them. They have very fierce temperaments."
The calm confidence on Dumbledore's face returned, "I assure you, Hagrid can do the job."
No matter how noisy the divine horse is, it can never compare to hundreds of exploding-tailed skrewts.
"Very good." Madame Maxime dispelled her concerns and bowed slightly. "Can you tell this Hagrid that my horse only drinks single malt whiskey?"
"I will." Dumbledore also bowed.
Madame Maxime turned to look at her students, her expression becoming majestic, "Come on."
Vincent very consciously moved aside, and the students behind him also made way for him.
My dear, there is more to come after this chapter. Please click on the next page to continue reading. There will be more exciting chapters later!
Madame Maxime smiled and nodded at him as she passed by.
Fleur and Gabrielle nodded to him and Hermione respectively as they passed.
We can reminisce about the past once we get into the castle. Right now we have a delegation from Durmstrang to welcome.
Seamus leaned forward and whispered to Harry and Ron across Lavender and Parvati, "How big do you think the horses at Durmstrang will be?"
The Talisman Horse is already the largest species of Pegasus. Besides, the three major magic schools in Europe each have their own characteristics, and Durmstrang may not use Pegasus to pull the carriage.
The students stood in front of the castle and waited until night fell. They looked up at the dim sky eagerly, and they were trembling slightly from waiting.
There was complete silence all around, with only the sounds of the divine horse's breathing and stomping of its hooves to be heard.
Just when everyone's patience was almost worn out, a strange sound came into their ears.
The muffled rumble was very similar to the sound of a vacuum cleaner, only louder, like a giant vacuum cleaner moving along the riverbed.
Vincent and Dumbledore looked towards the Black Lake at the same time.
The sound came from the bottom of the Black Lake. The Durmstrang delegation had finally arrived.
Ripples appeared on the calm lake surface, and huge splashes of water suddenly appeared in the center of the lake, with waves hitting the wet shore.
Soon, a large whirlpool appeared in the center of the lake, as if a huge plug had been pulled out from the bottom of the lake.
A long black pole seemed to slowly rise from the whirlpool, followed by the sail rigging.
If nothing unexpected happens, the Durmstrang delegation is on this ship.
