Chapter 985 The Source of Vibration
The Black family's collection of pure Scotch whisky is indeed a good thing. It tastes spicy at first but has an elegant and sweet aftertaste, and you can even taste a faint hint of toffee and honey.
But for kids who are drinking for the first time, the aftereffect is indeed a bit too strong.
Harry remembered that his tongue was numbed by the saltiness of a lamb chop that had been sprinkled with salt at least three times. He then picked up the wine glass and drank it in one gulp. Then he remembered nothing.
"Harry! Harry! Are you okay?" Sirius supported him with an anxious look on his face and took the purple-red hangover potion handed to him by Vincent with one hand.
"Uh--" Harry slowly opened his eyes not long after drinking it.
"Thank Merlin, you're okay."
After Harry woke up, he remembered what had just happened and lowered his head like a child who had done something wrong. "I'm sorry, Godfather, for making you worry."
Sirius patted him gently on the back, "No need to apologize, as long as you're okay."
"Boom--" the annoying vibration came again.
Cedric was careless and didn't hold the mushroom soup firmly.
Fortunately, only a little bit of soup spilled out, but the soup just dripped onto Qiu's long skirt next to her.
"Sorry, Cho."
"it does not matter."
Cedric quickly pulled out his wand and cleaned the stain off her skirt.
Vincent put down his half-empty glass of wine and said, "You guys continue. I'll go over and see what's going on."
Although we are preparing for winter, the frequency is too high.
Fortunately, only a little soup spilled this time, but next time the whole bowl might fall down and I’ll get scalded.
Hermione also put down the grilled salmon in her hand and said, "I'll go with you."
In total, they had spent two and a half years in the Forbidden Forest and could move freely in any dangerous place.
The twins turned and looked at Ron, who had a chicken drumstick stuffed in his mouth.
"Ronnie, baby, the little spider you fear the most is going to be in big trouble. Are you very happy now?"
Ron shuddered subconsciously when he heard the word "spider".
He pretended to be calm and took out the big chicken drumstick from his mouth, "I'm not afraid of those furry things."
"Oh haha~"
Ron tilted his head back, calmly bit off a large piece of chicken leg and chewed it slowly.
"rumble--"
"Gu——" The slight vibration of the ground scared him so much that he swallowed the chicken leg directly into his stomach without chewing it a few times.
The twins laughed unkindly at his miserable expression.
"Don't be afraid, baby Ronnie, the little spiders' nest is far away from here ~ Hahahaha ~"
Amid the laughter of his "good brothers", Ron continued eating as if nothing had happened.
On the other side, Vincent and Hermione, who had not walked far, smiled knowingly when they heard the twins' laughter.
"Do you think it was Thad or Ron?"
"Ron, please." Vincent held out his hand to Hermione. "With Qiu here, they will at least give him some respect."
Hermione took his hand and followed him slowly down the slope.
Keep walking forward for a few more minutes and you will reach the nest of the eight-eyed giant spider. The closer to the ground, the more fallen leaves there are, and the greater the amplitude of the occasional vibrations.
When the two walked hand in hand into a relatively spacious nest, they found that several adult eight-eyed giant spiders inside did not go out to find food, and even huddled together to protect their palm-sized cubs.
The same situation occurred in the second nest. After more than ten times, both of them felt that something was not right.
If the shaking in the Forbidden Forest wasn't caused by the Acromantula Gate, what could it be?
Hogwarts and its surrounding areas are equipped with anti-earthquake magic, so even a magnitude 10 earthquake outside will not affect the inside.
Could it be that Hagrid secretly raised a new litter of cute little creatures?
"Could it be the divine horse?"
"They seemed to be drinking whiskey when we came here. If they were drunk..."
Vincent paused and walked towards the source of the vibration. "Madame Maxime has raised them too strong. It's not impossible that they could cause such a scene."
Hermione relaxed her guard a little. "As long as it's not an alien species, it's fine. The Forbidden Forest already has a rich variety of species. If there are any more big ones that can cause earthquakes, it will completely disrupt the ecological balance here."
In order to balance the number of giant eight-eyed spiders, Jomgand gained three times the weight in two years. If it were a species without natural enemies, the environment in the forbidden forest would definitely be a mess.
Vincent looked at the fallen leaves in front of him with some uncertainty. "Hagrid should still be busy taking care of his blasting-tailed skrewts, so how could he have the mind to take care of anything else?"
Hermione held his hand tightly, "I hope so."
The two walked quickly through a path covered with fallen leaves and felt several stronger vibrations along the way.
"It should not be far away." Vincent took the alder wand in his hand and protected her behind him.
"Roar!" The sudden roar made the two of them nervous in an instant.
"Fire dragon?"
"How can there be such a thing in the Forbidden Forest?"
The two of them didn't have time to think and ran towards the source of the sound.
Suddenly, a more violent vibration came from the ground, and Hermione stumbled accidentally.
Vincent picked her up and held the Flamel ring on his hand against his legs.
The flowing mithril quickly wrapped around his shoes from inside the ring, and in the blink of an eye they were formed into a pair of metal boots.
The nozzles on the soles of the shoes made no noise at all, and the flying boots started up, carrying the two people slowly into the air.
"It looks like there is more than one fire dragon."
Hermione followed his gaze and could vaguely see some wisps of black smoke rising from the woods in the distance.
She hugged Vincent's neck tightly, "Let's get over there quickly, their breath will start a fire!"
The nozzles on the soles of the flying boots suddenly grew larger, and the airflow that was ejected swept up a large amount of fallen leaves.
The terrifying acceleration made Hermione close her eyes subconsciously, but soon she could feel nothing.
She opened her eyes and found that there was an extra layer of magic barrier in front of her, and the scenery in the distance was changing rapidly like a slide show.
In just a few breaths, both of them could clearly see four fire dragons of different species.
They all seemed to be bound by something and were struggling constantly.
And around them, there was a group of wizards in crimson robes trying their best to suppress them.
“This is…” Vincent slowed down and hovered behind a large tree.
Hermione noticed that the robes of those wizards all had the same pattern. The style looked somewhat familiar, as if she had seen it in the "Encyclopedia of All Occupations in the Wizarding World".
She suddenly thought of something and leaned close to Vincent's ear, "They are dragon trainers."
"Dragon Tamer? Why do they--" Vincent understood instantly, "It's a test of courage. There is indeed nothing more courageous than a fire dragon."
Hermione took a breath and said, "Could these four dragons be..."
"Yeah, they're the Warriors' first project."
