Chapter 4087 I'll Help You
Beng Sha glanced behind him in a panic. Time was running out, and he had to make a decision quickly.
After a moment's hesitation, Beng Sha suddenly spoke again: "Tell me, what exactly did you do for my father that made him willing to entrust such an important token to you?"
“We rescued everyone in your village. Your father led the clansmen and carried us out of the territory of Changgu Kingdom in baskets. When we parted, he gave us this token. We didn’t want to trouble you, and I know it’s dangerous for you, but now we really have no other choice,” I said sincerely.
"Borsh, what are you doing? Taking so long to pee." Someone outside urged.
"It'll be ready soon, my stomach is a little upset..." Borsa shouted outside.
Turning around, Borsa lifted me up from the ground and hoisted me back onto his shoulder. As he walked away, he said, "Okay, I'll help you. Consider it repaying the favor you did for saving the people in our village."
As he spoke, Borsa carried me back into the crowd and threw me back onto the ground.
"Bonsa, where did you take that kid? Are you plotting something?" The little dwarf squinted and looked at Bonsa.
“Commander, what could I possibly be plotting with this little thing? I brought him along because I was worried you would leave me behind and go back to the Prince and the King to claim credit. In that case, all the credit would go to you, and I wouldn’t get any benefit at all.” Beng Sha chuckled.
"I didn't expect you, you big oaf, to be so cunning. Don't worry, you'll get all the credit this time." The little dwarf snorted and continued walking forward.
"Commander, can we rest a bit before continuing? My stomach is a little upset today. I've used up all my strength chasing after them. If I don't eat something soon, I really can't walk anymore," Beng Sha said hurriedly.
"You people from the Long-Bodied Kingdom eat more than anyone else, and you're always hungry. You're all a bunch of useless trash. If you want to eat, wait until we get back. As long as we deliver these two people to the King and the Prince, I won't mind how long you eat them," the little dwarf said impatiently.
"Commander, these two are already in our hands, they definitely can't escape. We're not far from Zhaoyao Mountain, let's fill our stomachs first before we go, I'm starving..." Beng Sha said, glancing at the experts from the Long-legged Kingdom beside him.
Beng Sha was definitely the leader of these experts from the Long-legged Kingdom. He gave a wink to the people around him, and the others from the Long-legged Kingdom immediately nodded in agreement. One of them said, "Commander, I'm hungry too. You guys are fine, but we're all big and have run dozens of miles in one go. We're exhausted. Let us have something to eat."
“Yes, Commander,” someone nearby chimed in.
"These lazybones are always pooping and peeing. Hurry up and eat, we need to get them back quickly before things get complicated." The little dwarf waved his hand dismissively.
"Thank you, Commander. I'll go catch some wild game." With that, Beng Sha led one of his men into the old forest, presumably to find some prey.
Once he finds his prey, he'll have to gut it and roast it, which will definitely take some time.
It must be said that this sandbag is quite clever.
While they were out searching for prey, the little dwarf walked towards me again.
He took out two swords and stood next to me, which only reached my upper thighs.
He looked up at me, then suddenly shouted angrily, "Squat down!"
As the saying goes, a wise man doesn't fight a losing battle, so I not only squatted down, but also sat down.
"Commander, what are your orders?" I asked the little dwarf with a smile.
"You have some nerve, actually managing to get close to the Prince and come to Zhaoyao Mountain, plotting to steal the Zhaoyao Wood. Tell me, do you have any other accomplices?" the little dwarf asked in a gloomy tone.
“Who else could we be with? Just the two of us,” I blurted out.
"What do you want the 'Swish Tree' and its leaves for?" the little dwarf asked again.
“Commander, this 'Swish Tree' and its leaves are priceless treasures. We'll steal them to sell for a fortune, so you don't need to ask any more questions,” I said with a smile.
"You're not from the Kingdom of Pierced Chests, are you?" The little dwarf looked at me again.
"Yes, we are all from the Kingdom of Pierced Chests, and we came from the Northern City..."
I tried to fool them, but the little dwarf's short knife suddenly slashed open my clothes, exposing my chest.
Upon seeing that there was no large hole in my chest, the dwarf's face darkened, and he kicked me, saying viciously, "You really aren't from the Kingdom of Pierced Chests! Where did you come from?"
As he spoke, the little dwarf held a short knife to my neck.
"Commander, Commander, please don't be angry, I'll talk, I'll talk... I'm really not from the Kingdom of Piercing Chest, I came from another realm." I quickly begged for mercy.
"Outer Lands? Which Outer Lands?" the little dwarf pressed aggressively.
"Have you heard of a place called the Wasteland, the Kingdom of Wuxian? Our king is seriously ill, and we stole the leaves of the Zhaoyao tree to take back to cure him." I made up a story on the spot, since he didn't know where the Wasteland was anyway.
"How did you get here? The Fire Domain is surrounded by volcanoes on three sides, and getting close can melt a person. There's also a section that leads directly to the Netherworld. Once you go in, you can't come out. Are you kidding me?" The little dwarf simply didn't believe it.
“We people of the wasteland are not afraid of fire, I’m not lying to you…” I quickly explained.
Seeing that I wasn't behaving myself, the little dwarf kicked me twice, making me wince in pain. I was thinking, "You little rascal, just you wait. When our reinforcements arrive, I'm going to use the Blood Refining Orb to absorb you completely."
After they dealt with me, not long after, Bengsha and another person from the Long-legged Kingdom returned, each carrying a prey. I don't know what they caught; they were strangely shaped, but quite large.
"Commander, there's a river not far away. Let's go there to eat. We'll be ready in a bit," Beng Sha said politely as he walked over to the little dwarf.
The little dwarf responded and led a group of people, escorting me and the slovenly Taoist priest, towards the riverbank.
Then, Bengsha called over a man from the Long-legged Kingdom to gut, skin, and remove the tendons from the prey. Someone had already set up a campfire, and then they put the prepared prey on it to roast.
I sat on the ground, looking around constantly, thinking that Brother Gu and the others should be arriving soon, and Kasang should be the first to arrive.
