Chapter 2552 Dear Mr. Detective 03
Alric stood at the door, having changed into linen pajamas with a ruffled neckline that opened to his chest, revealing his smooth, thin muscles.
He lowered his eyes and looked at Jinchen, with a glint of arrogance in the corners of his eyes.
"Cyril, you stole my keys."
Zero Gungun: [???]
[Host! This is pure frame-up!]
Jinchen stretched out one leg, stepped on the carpet beside the bed, looked over with a smile, and his deep blue eyes were filled with moonlight-like affection.
"What evidence do you have?"
"The golden key is in your room. This is the evidence."
Alric raised his chin towards the key that glowed in the moonlight. "You see it, right?"
"Well, now it's up to you to prove your innocence and why the key was in your room. As a detective, you can do that, right?"
Jinchen sighed softly, looking helpless.
"Well, my proof is..." His fingertips suddenly moved, and the cherry pit he had just eaten popped out from his fingertips, closing the door behind Alric.
Alric frowned and glanced behind him.
"Double the suspects, Mr. Alric."
Jinchen stood up and slowly walked towards Alric, "Now you should explain to me why you appeared in my room at the same time as the key."
Alric raised an eyebrow at him and questioned, "At the same time?"
"After all, there's no third witness, what do you think?"
As Jinchen spoke, he moved closer to Alrick, gently placed his palm on his muscular back, and slowly stroked it.
"Or...you came to me late at night just to flirt with your new subordinate."
Alric: "..."
He was stunned for a moment, then laughed, and it was hard to tell whether it was a sneer or a laugh out of anger.
"You really gave me a good answer." There was obvious sarcasm in Alric's tone.
Jinchen turned his head, the corner of his lips brushed against Alrick's cheek, his voice lowered to almost a whisper.
"I hope you're satisfied, sir."
"No, you didn't pass my..."
test.
Alric's arrogant and complacent smile suddenly froze on his face.
Because he saw a keychain that appeared in Jinchen's hand at some point, and... half a broken fallen leaf.
"Look, this is the keychain hidden in your pocket, and...the love letter brought by the evening breeze."
Jinchen's blue eyes sparkled with cunning in the dim light.
Alric: "..."
Bullshit love letter.
Those were fallen leaves that he accidentally touched when he was unlocking the key downstairs.
He was surprised at how quickly Cyril moved and didn't even know when it was taken away.
Alric coldly pushed Jinchen away and raised his hand to hold his chin. "You passed the test, detective."
"By the way, being a thief is not a good career."
Jinchen gave him a bright smile and kissed the palm of Alrick's hand, "Good night, Mr. Alrick."
Alrick suddenly pulled his hand back, looked at Jinchen with a complicated expression, turned around and left the room.
He didn't pick up the golden key on the ground.
Jinchen bent down to pick up the key, compared it with his own, and found that they fit perfectly.
"So it's a gift."
He chuckled and carefully put the golden key away.
The next morning, Jinchen was awakened by the loud shouting downstairs.
The rough voice came straight into the room from downstairs, as if it was going to shake the entire cylindrical house down.
"Damn it! Why is it you?!"
"Alric! I will never work on a case with you!"
Jinchen sat up to wake himself up and rubbed his eyebrows.
[Someone is slaughtering pigs early in the morning.]
Ling Gungun whispered in his ear, "The person downstairs is Sheriff Bruce. The current timeline is the fourth day after the Olga Manor case."
The police inspectors' answer was suicide, which Count Eugene was very dissatisfied with, so he invited Alric to join them in solving the case.
Ling Gungun propped up his chin and said, "It seems Alric and Bruce are old acquaintances."
Old acquaintance, Jinchen clicked his tongue.
Jinchen lazily put on his clothes and went downstairs.
Before he could see the dispute at the door, Duoxi grabbed him and forced him to squat down and hide behind the table.
Jinchen: “…”
"Do you like hiding here?" he whispered to Doshi.
Doshi waved his hand and said mysteriously, "Cyril, look, we can see outside from here without being discovered. How great."
Jinchen looked in the direction her finger pointed.
Alric changed into a more elegant long suit, the shirt underneath perfectly outlined his chest shape, combining strength and beauty.
Jinchen admired it for a few moments before looking at another loud-voiced man, Sheriff Bruce.
Next to them was a young man dressed as a servant, with his head lowered, looking like no one dared to offend him.
"Who is this person?" Jinchen asked with the answer.
Doshi: "Officer Bruce! Oh...you might not know this, but he and Alric used to be colleagues."
Jin Chen thought to himself, "No wonder, Alric was also a police inspector?"
Doshi nodded, then suddenly shook his head, "Don't ask any more questions. If you continue, you'll be beaten by the violent Alric."
She covered her mouth dramatically.
Sure enough, the next moment, Alric's voice sounded from behind them.
"Are you interested in my past, Detective Cyril?"
Jinchen stood up and met his inquiring gaze, "Of course, I am very interested in you."
Upon hearing this, Sheriff Bruce turned his head sharply, his short mustache raised, "???"
What is this nonsense.
He looked Jinchen up and down, "Hey, you bastard, who are you?"
Jinchen bowed slightly, "Alric's new..."
"Okay, okay, whoever you are, I don't care."
Bruce had no interest in listening at all. He walked away angrily with his hands behind his back, and slammed the door loudly.
Jinchen: “…”
He turned to Alric, with a hint of resentment, "He's so rude."
Alric scoffed, his green eyes twinkling. "Very good, it's rare to see eye to eye."
He picked up his coat, which was draped over the back of a chair. "Come with me, Detective Cyril."
Jinchen noticed that Alrick's eyes lingered on his face for a moment longer, and then he took the lead and walked towards the door.
The morning light filtered through the crack in the door, making Alric's tall and elegant figure shimmer.
Jinchen raised the corners of his lips slightly and followed.
Outside the cylindrical house, the streets of Book Harbor City were just waking up.
The sound of carriage wheels rolling over the cobblestone road, the cries of newspaper boys, and the whistles of the distant port were all mixed together in a noisy manner.
Alric stood by the roadside, and the carriage sent by the Earl's Mansion stopped for them.
He turned his head to look at Jinchen, tiny spots of light flashing in his green pupils.
"Are you ready, Detective?"
Jinchen nodded, "At your service, sir."
Alric turned to look out at the street, "Call me Alric."
The carriage door closed.
In the small space, Alric's cold and mature aura became clear.
Jinchen noticed that Alric's fingers unconsciously stroked the watch strap, like a small movement while thinking.
The carriage drove through the streets of Book Harbor City, heading towards Olga Manor.
In any case, Alric thought, this investigation would be interesting.
He stroked the pocket watch in his pocket and for the first time felt an expectation for the case that went beyond professional interest.
