Chapter 2869 Why Does My Wife Follow Me Every Day? 29
Yun Jian's belly felt soft and warm. Jin Chen rubbed it and checked his pulse by placing his fingertips on the inside of his wrist, but he didn't notice anything wrong.
Jin Chen lowered his head again and kissed Yun Jian on the lips. Yun Jian obediently opened his mouth and let him check. After Jin Chen pulled away, he whispered, "I'm fine... I'm just a little listless."
"Want to take a nap?" Jin Chen asked.
Yun Jian nodded, then shook his head, looking at Jin Chen with a conflicted expression, "Will you come with me?"
"Accompany you."
Upon receiving an affirmative answer, Yun Jian smiled and pulled Jin Chen towards the bedroom.
But when he got to the bedside, he hesitated again.
The bed was still piled high with the clothes he had put out that morning, leaving only a small indentation for his sleeping spot. If the two of them were to sleep together, the clothes would have to be moved.
Yun Jian stood by the bed, looking at the pile of clothes, then at Jin Chen, his brows furrowed.
He wanted to sleep with Jin Chen in his arms, but these clothes were painstakingly piled up, they smelled of Jin Chen, and they were his little nest.
He couldn't bear to destroy it.
After hesitating for a while, Yun Jian pulled Jin Chen and walked out.
"Go back to the flower shop. My bed is big, but I don't have any clothes."
Jin Chen was pulled along by him, and smiled helplessly, but did not object.
The two returned to the second floor of the flower shop. As soon as Yun Jian entered, he pushed Jin Chen onto the bed, climbed up himself, snuggled into Jin Chen's arms, and wrapped himself around him with his hands and feet.
"Go to sleep." Yun Jian closed his eyes contentedly.
Jin Chen couldn't sleep, so she held him in her arms, gently patting his back with one hand while taking out her phone with the other and casually browsing the information 999 had found.
Yun Jian fell asleep quickly, her cheek pressed against Jin Chen's chest, completely unguarded.
The bedroom door was pushed open a crack.
Two rabbits poked their heads in and hopped in.
They jumped onto the bed, sniffed at the foot of the bed, and then slowly approached Yun Jian, twitching their noses and carefully smelling his scent.
Jin Chen put down his phone, looked down at the two rabbits, and considered whether or not to take them downstairs.
They sniffed for a while, then suddenly raised their heads at the same time and looked at Jin Chen, their eyes revealing extremely human emotions.
It was like seeing a ghost.
The two rabbits exchanged a glance, raised their hind legs, and with lightning speed, kicked Jin Chen's calf, which was draped outside the blanket, hard.
After kicking it, they glanced at Yun Jian again, then turned around, hopped away from the bedroom, and even used their heads to block the door shut.
Jinchen: "..."
He raised an eyebrow and poked Yun Jian's cheek.

Over the next few days, Yun Jian's symptoms worsened, and his condition fluctuated.
When he's in a good mood, he's the same as always—gentle, cheerful, pruning flowers in the florist, chatting softly with customers, and occasionally going to the coffee shop to find Jinchen, sitting by the window reading a book, and occasionally looking up at Jinchen busy behind the counter.
But when things are bad, he will suddenly become anxious and restless, frequently sending messages and making phone calls to Jin Chen. If Jin Chen does not reply for more than ten minutes, he will come directly to find out where Jin Chen is, what she is doing, and who she is with.
Once, Jinchen went to the convenience store on the corner to buy something, a round trip that took less than ten minutes.
When she returned, she saw Yun Jian standing at the entrance of the coffee shop. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw him, ran over and hugged him, buried her face in his shoulder, and remained silent for a long time.
"What's wrong?" Jin Chen asked, patting his back.
I thought you had disappeared.
Jin Chen's heart tightened, and she hugged the person even tighter. "No, I'm nearby."
"Mmm..." Yun Jian responded, but hugged her even tighter.
That night, Yun Jian was even more clingy.
When Jin Chen cooks, he hugs him from behind. When Jin Chen takes a shower, he wants to follow him in, but he's been too unrestrained lately. Jin Chen pushes him out of the bathroom, so he squats at the door looking aggrieved. As soon as Jin Chen comes out, he pounces on him and hangs on him like a koala.
His dependence on Jinchen reached an unprecedented level.
Jinchen declined a gathering with friends, but a few days later, she accepted an invitation to a local handcrafted coffee bean tasting event. The organizer was a familiar supplier, so she couldn't refuse.
But Jin Chen didn't expect that when he told Yun Jian, his reaction was stronger than ever before.
"Must go?"
"I can't get out of here, but I'll be back as soon as possible. If you're tired, you can go to sleep, or you can look after the shop, okay?"
Jin Chen brought the fried eggs to the table and pinched Yun Jian's cheek. "Three hours at most, I promise."
Yun Jian lowered his head, staring at the almost untouched fried egg on the plate, and remained silent for a long time.
Jin Chen thought he wouldn't answer anymore.
"...Okay, be careful."
Most of the attendees at the tasting event were industry professionals. Midway through, Jinchen went to the restroom.
As Jin Chen washed her hands at the sink, she caught a glimpse of a fleeting figure reflected in the mirror.
Jin Chen quickly dried her hands, turned around and walked out of the restroom, but the corridor was empty except for the light coming in from the window at the end.
Jin Chen focused his mind and sensed for a moment before walking in the direction where the figure disappeared—an alleyway behind the tasting center.
Jin Chen looked towards the corner and sighed, "Come out."
A few seconds later, Yun Jian slowly walked out.
He was still wearing a hat and a mask when he walked up to Jin Chen, his head down, as if he had done something wrong and been caught red-handed.
Jin Chen reached out and removed Yun Jian's hat and mask.
Yun Jian's face was revealed; it was somewhat pale, his eyes were red, and his lips were white from being bitten so hard.
