Chapter 1254 Solution
"Clang clang~ Mission accomplished~?"
As if offering a treasure, Alicia gently placed the still-sleeping Herrscher of Ice in her arms into the medical bay, winking playfully at the incoming Amethyst. "Mission accomplished! Not only did we successfully retrieve the 'lost little cutie,' but we also helped Sin Ming identify a group of talented individuals with strong mental qualities who have the potential to become outstanding Valkyries! So, am I quite capable?"
Zijing looked at the girl in the medical cabin, whose breathing was steady. Then he looked at Alicia, who had a "compliment me now" expression on her face. He shook his head helplessly: "You are going to carry out rescue and suppression missions, not to recruit talents. Besides..." He paused, "What you call 'scouting', I'm afraid it's more about finding a girl who is attractive to you?"
"Oh, how can you say that?" Alicia pouted, pretending to be wronged. "I've been carefully observing their performance in the crisis! But..." She changed the subject, her smile becoming sly again. "Who wouldn't like to take care of cute and brave girls?"
Zijing didn't dwell on this with her anymore and brought the topic back to business: "We have the Herrscher of Ice under control for now. How's the Herrscher of Rock doing? The troops should have reached the target city by now, right?"
When the Herrscher of Stone was mentioned, Amber, who had been following nearby, pulled up a live projection of the battle situation and shook her head. "The situation is a bit strange. When our troops arrived, the city had already... gone quiet."
The projection showed a devastated city: buildings were twisted and deformed, the ground was covered with spider-web-like cracks, and the wreckage of vehicles and facilities crushed by the terrifying gravity could be seen everywhere, proving that this place had indeed experienced the ravages of the Stone Ruler.
Yet, despite these signs of disaster, the city was remarkably "clean"—no Honkai beasts, no dead soldiers, no high-intensity Honkai energy reactions detected, and no trace of the Herrscher of the Stone herself. It was as if she had vanished from the face of the earth.
"Disappeared?" Zijing frowned slightly. How could a newly born, powerful Herrscher vanish without a trace in such a short time?
Just then, Zijing's personal communicator rang. He glanced at the caller ID and saw it was an encrypted number. He stepped aside and answered it. Otto's voice came from the other end, giving a brief report.
As Zijing listened, his expression gradually shifted from confusion to contemplation, and finally to a hint of understanding. He was silent for a few seconds before whispering, "...I understand. This matter is confidential for now. I'll handle it later."
After ending the call, he walked back to Alicia and, under her curious gaze, contacted Theresa directly.
"Theresa, notify the Valkyrie troops heading to the Seventh City. The mission is canceled. Return immediately."
Theresa's surprised voice came from the other end of the communication: "Disband? But the Herrscher of the Stone hasn't yet..."
"She's gone," Amethyst interrupted. "There's no value in continuing the operation at the scene. Follow the orders."
After answering a few more of Theresa's questions, Amethyst ended the call. He looked at Amber, who was also confused, and simply said, "Things over there have come to a temporary end."
"clear."
Although she didn't understand why, Amber nodded faithfully.
Alicia wasn't particularly curious. "Well, the cute girl has already brought one back. As for the other one...it seems like she's encountered some 'special fate'?"
Going back a few hours, the Herrscher of Stone had just arrived, immersed in the pleasure of controlling powerful force and wanton destruction.
She stood at the city's highest point, admiring the scene below, twisting and shattering under the terrifying gravity, a smile of insane satisfaction on her face. She could feel her power as if it were boundless. This city, and indeed the entire world, was about to become the stage for her to showcase her "art."
However, this pleasure did not last long.
A figure appeared silently in the shadow of the ruins behind her.
He was a boy who looked only eleven or twelve years old. He was dressed in a neat white dress that stood out from the surroundings. He had short, brilliant golden hair and a pair of clear, emerald green eyes. His face was expressionless as he quietly watched the Herrscher of Stone's back.
The Herrscher of the Rock spun around, her powerful senses allowing her to instantly spot the uninvited guest. Having her spirits interrupted, she flew into a rage, "Where did you come from, little bug? You want to be part of my collection too?!"
She waved her hand casually, and a terrifying gravity that was enough to crush steel into thin sheets instantly enveloped the blond boy!
In her opinion, in the next moment, this ignorant kid would turn into a pool of meat paste.
However, nothing happened.
The blond boy still stood there quietly, without even moving the corner of his clothes, as if she had just waved her hand to drive away a non-existent fly.
The smile on the Herrscher of the Stone's face froze. Her pupils suddenly constricted, and in disbelief, she summoned her power once more! A stronger gravitational field pressed down! Enough to crack the earth!
The boy remained unharmed. He even tilted his head slightly, as if wondering what the other person was doing.
"Impossible!" The Herrscher of Stone roared sharply, feeling a surge of unease and fear for the first time. She pushed her power to its limit, and dark yellow gravity waves spread wildly from her, attempting to crush the entire area into dust!
But all of this, in front of the blond boy, was like a stone dropped into the deep sea, causing not a single ripple. The space around him seemed independent of this world, and all the laws of physics lost their meaning there.
"You... what the hell are you?!" The Herrscher of Stone finally felt a chill that penetrated her bones. It was the incomprehensible fear of having her power absolutely suppressed. She wanted to escape, but her body seemed to be fixed in place by invisible shackles, unable to even move a finger.
The blond boy didn't answer. He simply raised one hand and shook it softly towards the Herrscher of Stone.
The Herrscher of Rock suddenly felt her strength draining from her body like the ebbing tide! Her connection to the Herrscher core was being forcibly severed! That feeling of emptiness and powerlessness terrified her more than death itself!
"No! My power! Give it back to me!!" She screamed and struggled desperately, but could not change anything.
The blond boy pressed his hand down gently.
The Herrscher of the Stone felt as if her consciousness had been plunged into an endless abyss, rapidly being swallowed by darkness. The last thing she saw before she completely lost consciousness was a pair of cold, black and white eyes that had shifted in an inexplicable way.
……
When Jizi led the Valkyrie troops to the devastated city, they saw only a dead ruin and dust that had not yet completely dispersed. They searched the entire city, but found nothing except traces of the disaster.
