Chapter 1104: The Slaughter of the Hive Tyrant
Stormtrooper Sergeant Straus was leading his squad on patrol when the sirens blared in sector K-79 of the Death Star.
Suddenly, the entire corridor shook violently and a huge bulge bulged inward on the metal wall.
“Everyone on alert!”
Straus just raised his E-11 blaster rifle when the blast-proof door in front of him was torn open like tinfoil.
A four-meter-tall Hive Tyrant emerged from the twisted metal wreckage, its chitinous bone blades still dripping with the blood of the previous defenders.
Dozens of Tyrant Guards followed closely behind, their modified sickle forelimbs easily cutting through a firing E-WEB heavy blaster cannon.
"Enemy spotted! Attack freely!"
Dozens of E-11 blaster rifles spewed flames at the same time, and red plasma beams burned countless black spots on the Tyrant's shell, but could not stop it from moving forward.
Straus watched with his own eyes as a soldier was cut in half by a bone blade. While the soldier's upper body was still twitching, the tyrant had already grabbed another soldier with his appendages and smashed him against the wall, causing the man's armor to shatter like an eggshell.
The Hive Tyrant's special vocal sac suddenly vibrated, emitting an infrasonic roar that distorted the air.
Straus's helmet display was instantly overloaded, and as he stumbled back, he saw three Tyrant Guards rushing into the crowd. Their forelimbs were as fast as lightning, and the first strike directly split the stormtrooper's breastplate, the second strike cut off the clone's vibrosaber who attempted a sneak attack, and then the third strike directly pierced two soldiers fighting back to back with their claw blades.
"We need heavy weapons!"
DS-314 screamed into the communicator, while simultaneously shooting a guard in the joints with his SE-14r blaster pistol.
The monster just staggered slightly, then rushed towards the rest of the soldiers like a madman.
Just when the defense line was about to collapse, the entire corridor suddenly shook.
With the roar of the hydraulic system, an AT-ST walker rushed out from the side passage, its twin blasters spewing flames.
“Get out of the way! Get out of the way!”
The pilot's roar came from the mecha's speakers.
This light mecha, which was originally used for patrolling, became a savior at this time. Its blaster cannon finally forced the Tyrant Guards to retreat a few steps.
But the Hive Tyrant went straight for it.
Its evolved shell could actually deflect blaster beams, and with one swing of the bone blade, it severed one of the AT-ST's mechanical legs. The mech tilted and fell, and the cockpit slammed heavily into the wall.
The driver saw the readings were all red in a daze. He spat out a mouthful of blood foam and entered the last command on the console, which was to overload the propulsion system.
“For the Empire!”
All the remaining hydraulic oil of the AT-ST was injected into the thrusters, and this steel giant weighing tens of tons crashed into the Hive Tyrant in a suicidal manner.
The sound of metal colliding with chitin was tooth-grinding. One of the tyrant's appendages was torn off abruptly, and its organ of balance was also severely damaged, causing it to stagger for the first time.
The explosion engulfed pilot and mech alike, but the impact created a valuable opening for the defenders.
Straus seized this fleeting opportunity, picked up the PLX-4 rocket launcher that had fallen on the ground, and aimed at the tyrant's injured foot.
"Eat this, you beast!"
The rocket hit the target with a tail flame, completely shattering the tyrant's already damaged foot joints.
The monster screamed like glass shattering and fell to its knees for the first time. The clone sniper immediately raised his DC-15x blaster rifle and shot through the tyrant's exposed throat ganglion.
"careful!"
Suddenly, dozens of Tyranid Warrior Bugs and Tyrant Guards rushed out from one side and headed straight for Strass and others.
"Take cover! Retreat!"
Straus gave decisive orders. The dozen or so remaining soldiers had no power to fight back against such an enemy. All they could do next was to hold them back and wait for the Death Star's disinfection program to be activated to send them and these disgusting aliens into space.
………………
The alarms in K-79 had long since become meaningless background noise. The Hive Tyrant stood on a hill of corpses, its four-meter-tall body covered in a biological carapace that absorbed energy, and its six bone blades were covered with the remains of stormtroopers and clones.
The entire area was filled with the burning stink of ionized air and the corrosive smell of Zerg acid.
“Roar, roar, roar, roar!!”
The Tyrant gave the order through the Swarm Consciousness. With a swing of its bone blade, it cut three more soldiers holding E-Web heavy blasters in half.
The barrel was still firing when it hit the ground, and the red blaster burned a series of craters in the ceiling.
The tactical recorder showed that the Hive Tyrant easily broke through the seventh blast-proof door, destroyed three AT-ST walkers in a few minutes, and killed 64 stormtroopers.
The Tyrant's left forelimb suddenly stabbed out and pierced through the armor of a clone officer.
It lifted the struggling body in front of it, its compound eyes reflecting the other's painfully twisted face, then it threw the body away and smashed the control panel of the last blast-proof door.
The last door was opened, and a dark figure suddenly appeared at the end of the passage.
Sigismund's armor gleamed coldly under the emergency light, his black sword had not yet been unsheathed, but the tyrant's instincts had already sounded the alarm.
“Roar, roar, roar.”
The Tyrant hissed, and all six bone blades simultaneously unfolded into a fighting stance.
It had just slaughtered an entire platoon of Stormtroopers, and its carapace was still dripping with blood.
Sigismund drew out the black sword. His speed was so fast that it was beyond the visual capture limit of the Zerg. He crossed a distance of twenty meters in just 0.3 seconds. The moment the black sword was unsheathed, he cut off the two attacking bone blades.
Then, Sigismund leaned forward to avoid the sweep, and the blade of the sword rose up to cut the nervous system in the tyrant's abdomen. The acid blood splattered on Sigismund's armor and was thrown away.
The remaining four bone blades of the Hive Tyrant stabbed from different angles.
But the black sword drew an almost perfect circular trajectory, and four crisp sounds of metal breaking rang out almost simultaneously.
Then, Sigismund stepped forward and stomped hard, crushing the tyrant's left foot joint.
The moment the monster lost balance and fell to its knees, the black sword pierced the psychic voice generator in its throat.
"For the Emperor!"
With a battle cry, Sigismund raised his sword with both hands.
The tyrant was split in two from the lower jaw to the top of the skull, and the two halves of the body were still twitching nervously as they fell to the sides.
Just as the dozen or so surviving tyrant guards were about to charge, Sigismund had already placed his black sword at his side.
As the tyrant's guards approached, Sigismund swung his sword with all his might.
The sword blades slashed across the heads of the tyrant's guards, and their ugly heads were blown into a ball of bloody mist the moment they were hit by the sword.
"Crack!"
The black sword was put back into its scabbard, and dozens of Zerg unit corpses appeared around Sigismund.
