Chapter 1155: The Fall of the Tau Empire 5
Titus rushed into the core area of the Tau fortress like a god descending from heaven. His power armor burst into dazzling sparks under the pulse fire, but it could not stop him from moving forward.
The chainsword in his hand let out a bloodthirsty roar, and the whistling sound of the high-speed spinning teeth even drowned out the roar of explosions on the battlefield.
"For the Emperor!"
He roared and swung his sword across, the finely forged serrated blade tearing through the air, drawing a deadly arc.
The three fire warriors had just leaned out from behind cover, and their pulse rifles had not even finished charging when Titus's sword swept past.
The first body was severed at the waist, with the upper body still spinning in the air. The second body was split diagonally from the right shoulder to the left hip, and the third fire warrior was directly decapitated.
Three bursts of blood gushed out almost at the same time, forming a strange blood mist ball in the low-gravity environment.
“Beep—Warning! High-energy reaction from the right rear!”
The tactical alarm on his helmet blared sharply, but Titus didn't even turn around.
His combat instincts had long since transcended common sense, and the power armor servo system had already responded before his nerve signals were transmitted.
An XV8 Crisis Combat Suit suddenly appeared from stealth mode, its ion cannon muzzle flashing a deadly blue light, but Titus grabbed the barrel of the gun in his backhand just before it fired.
“Ants.”
Titus' voice came through the voice changer, with a uniquely cold texture of machinery.
He clenched his five fingers together, the force field generator of the power glove hummed, and the alloy barrel of the combat suit was flattened like mud.
The Tau pilot looked at the beating pressure alarm on his visor in horror. Before he could initiate the emergency escape procedure, Titus had already swung up the entire combat suit and slammed it to the ground.
"boom!"
Amid the flying dust, the three-ton combat suit was smashed to pieces like a toy.
Titus's iron boots stepped on the wreckage, and the weight of the power armor combined with the hydraulic boost directly turned the cockpit into a metal pancake. Light blue blood oozed out from the gaps and was quickly evaporated into a pungent mist by the high temperature of the soles of his feet.
"Concentrate your fire! Kill this monster!"
There was barely concealed fear in the fire warriors' voices.
More than twenty soldiers appeared from various corners, and the buzzing sound of pulse weapons filled the air.
Dense blue beams wove a web of death around Titus, but could only leave charred marks on the Terminator's armor.
A lucky pulse bullet hit the seam of his shoulder armor, and the burned muscle tissue immediately released hemostatic foam, but Titus didn't even frown.
"Bang! Boom! Boom!"
He fired three steady bursts from his bolter, each one piercing the visor of a fire warrior with precision.
The first shot opened the target's skull, the second shot blew a hole in the target's chest, and the third shot directly broke the target's spine, while his body flew backwards while still maintaining the shooting posture.
Suddenly, strange interference ripples appeared on the tactical display.
Titus turned sideways suddenly, and a vibration blade just grazed his neck armor. A Ghost combat suit removed its optical camouflage, and the vibration weapon on its mechanical arm emitted a high-frequency buzzing sound.
“A cunning alien.”
Titus sneered and allowed the other party to cut his left arm.
The vibrating blade created a series of sparks on the armor made of ceramic steel and nanometal, but failed to leave even a scratch.
The pilot of the Ghost combat suit obviously did not expect this situation. The moment he was stunned, Titus's chainsaw sword had already pierced through the cockpit.
“Woo—crack, crack, crack!”
The sound of saw teeth tearing through composite armor was teeth-grinding.
The Tau pilot inside the combat suit let out an inhuman scream as his body was minced into pieces by the rotating sawteeth. Light blue blood mixed with fragments of internal organs gushed out from the cracks in the armor.
Titus twisted the hilt cruelly, making sure every tooth tasted the alien flesh.
By the time he pulled out his sword, the inside of his battle suit had turned into a boiling soup of flesh and blood.
“Stuck?”
Titus frowned at the chainsword stuck in the wreckage.
The teeth were filled with metal fragments and organic tissue, and the engine groaned under the heavy load.
Without hesitation, he released his grip on the hilt, letting the weapon fall along with the remains of his battle suit.
“Then try this.”
His power gauntlet burst into a blinding blue light, and the force field generator went into overload.
The bolter fired continuously in his left hand, each shot accurately hitting the fire warrior who tried to approach.
His right fist smashed towards the nearest enemy with destructive force. The first punch shattered the breastplate, the second punch pierced through the torso, and the third punch directly split the corpse in two.
However, most enemies can only withstand it for a while. The moment the power fist touches them, their bodies will turn into blood mist.
"Come on! Alien scum!"
Titus advanced through the enemy ranks like a perfect killing machine.
Each of his strikes carried tremendous force, and the servo system of the power armor issued an overheating warning due to continuous combat, but it could not slow down his killing speed.
A fire warrior desperately raised his pulse pistol to his abdomen and fired, but Titus grabbed his head and smashed it into the alloy wall.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
After three impacts, only a pool of unrecognizable flesh and blood remained on the wall.
Titus shook the brains off his gloves, and his eyes behind the visor scanned the battlefield coldly.
The surviving Fire Warriors began to retreat, their morale completely collapsed in the face of this Blue Reaper.
"run?"
Titus pulled a fragmentation grenade from his belt and flicked the safety catch with his thumb.
He threw the grenade like a baseball, and the metal sphere flew precisely into the center of the retreating enemy group.
"boom!"
Accompanied by dazzling flames, more than twenty mutilated corpses were thrown into the air.
Titus stood there, his power armor stained with the blood and viscera of his enemies, steam gushing from his overheated joints. He slowly turned and looked at the command center deep in the fortress.
The alloy door of the Tau Command Center seemed as fragile as paper in front of Titus. This fortification, made of alloy strong enough to withstand orbital bombardment, trembled before the inhuman strength of the Astartes Brothers.
The force field generator of Titus's power fist burst out with a dazzling blue light, and his adamantium-wrapped knuckles were deeply embedded in the metal door panel.
"boom!"
With a sharp impact, the muscles in Titus's right arm bulged like a hydraulic press, and the pistons in the joints of the power armor hissed as they were overwhelmed.
The explosion-proof door weighing dozens of tons first dented, then twisted, and finally broke into pieces with a teeth-grinding sound of metal tearing.
Flying metal fragments shot into the command center like shotgun shells, nailing the nearest fire warriors to the consoles.
Titus did not pause. His iron fingers grasped the edge of the door frame, and his servomotor muscles roared like thunder.
With the wail of metal fatigue, the entire door was torn open by him, and the twisted alloy looked like the remains of prey gnawed by a wild beast.
The command center was in chaos. The pale blue skin of the Tau commanders turned sickly pale due to fear, and the tactical holographic sand table they were so proud of now reflected only death.
Titus' figure filled the broken door frame, and the undried alien blood on the power armor was slowly dripping along the adamantine lines.
The roar of the grenade launcher created a deafening sound in the enclosed space.
The first bomb blew a commander in half as he was drawing his gun. The upper half of his body hit the holographic projector, dyeing the strategic map blue.
The second bullet pierced through two civilian officers who were running for their lives with their heads in their hands, and their bodies exploded like balloons.
The third shot hit the communication array directly, and the flying metal fragments sieved the heads of the five surrounding Tau people.
Bullet shells rained down on the marble floor, making a crisp tinkling sound.
Titus's shooting rhythm was as precise as a mechanical clock, and each bullet was accompanied by a brief pause to fine-tune the angle.
The seventh target tried to hide behind a data terminal, but the armor-piercing warhead easily shredded the terminal and blew the body hiding behind it in two.
"Reporting to Chapter Master Calgar."
Titus' voice was eerily calm. He removed the auspex from his waist with one hand, still holding the smoking bolter with the other.
Behind the tactical eyepiece blurred by blood mist, the cold eyes swept over the last living Tau.
The alien, dressed in the uniform of a supreme commander, was trying in vain to shield his chest with a data-slate.
"Target cleared..."
