Chapter 1186: The Assistance of the Dead

"Our main fleet has been assembled, sir." A fleet officer in a dark blue uniform reported, with a deliberately suppressed tremor in his voice, "The support fleet of Mars Forge World will arrive at the designated location within six hours."

Dorn didn't respond immediately, his eyes fixed on the flashing red marks at the edge of the projection.

That was the Chaos Fleet's movements reported back by the reconnaissance ship. There were so many of them that they almost covered half of the projection area.

"Not enough." Dorn's deep voice seemed to come from deep in the earth. "We need more time to mobilize the defense forces in the outer star regions."

The strategic room was filled with tension. The officers exchanged uneasy glances, and no one dared to speak out the obvious fact: time was running out for the entire Terra.

Suddenly, a piercing alarm sounded throughout the headquarters. Dorn looked up sharply, and the Primarch's superhuman senses immediately locked onto the source of the anomaly.

In the open space in the center of the command room, the air began to distort and flashed with a strange green light.

"Be on guard!" Dorn shouted, and instinctively reached for the power sword at his waist. His muscles were tense, ready to deal with possible threats at any time.

The green light condensed into an oval-shaped portal, from which a hunched metal figure walked out.

The ancient body was made of living metal, etched with incomprehensible symbols, and its eyes glowed with a cold green light.

It holds an ornately decorated scepter, at the top of which hangs a strange object resembling a miniature black hole.

“Tarazyn.” Dorn recognized the uninvited guest, but did not let down his guard. “This is not the right time for you to collect antiques.”

The metal body let out a mechanical giggle, and the sound was like countless gears rubbing against each other in a cavity.

"Oh, dear Dorne, quite the contrary." Trazyn performed an ancient ritual with grace, his scepter clanging against the ground. "I think now is the perfect time."

Dorn's brows were furrowed. He could feel that everyone in the command room was looking at him and the Necron Overlord.

Trazyn, the alien creature called "The King of Figures" by his father, is famous for his obsession with human artifacts.

Strangely enough, his father, the Emperor, seemed to have condoned its occasional visits to the Imperial Palace.

"Explain your purpose, alien." Dorn's voice was as cold as ice. "Terra is now threatened by war. I don't have time to deal with your collecting hobby."

Trazyn's metal face was expressionless, but the slight tilt of its head conveyed a playful tone.

"How direct, just like your father," it said slowly. "I am here to offer my assistance, dear Primarch. After all, it pains me to see such a precious cultural treasure destroyed by the hands of Chaos."

Dorn's knuckles turned white from clenching his fists so tightly that he forced himself to think calmly.

While dangerous and unpredictable, Trazyn has certainly never directly endangered the Imperium of Man.

On the contrary, at certain critical moments, it has even provided unexpected assistance.

"What help?" Dawn asked finally, the hostility in his voice slightly less.

With a slight wave of Trazyn's scepter, the holographic projection in the strategy room suddenly distorted and was replaced by a completely new galaxy scene.

Around the Solar Star Region, dozens of points flashing black and purple light were marked.

"Blackstone," Trazyn announced, with obvious pride in his tone. "I can activate the Blackstone network around Segmentum Solar, completely isolating the area from the Warp."

Dorn's pupils shrank slightly. This proposal was so tempting that he instinctively suspected that there was something fishy going on.

If the Warp could be sealed off, Chaos fleets would lose their greatest advantage: the ability to raid through Warp rifts.

"What is the price?" Dorn asked bluntly. "The Necrons will not help humans for free."

Trazyn uttered a series of mechanical sounds that sounded like sighs.

"Ah, always so pragmatic." It tapped its metal palm lightly with the scepter, "I only need a small promise, that is, after the war, I will be allowed to enter a specific area under the palace and retrieve an item that does not belong to humans, or in other words, an item that does not belong to this world."

Dorn's nerves immediately tensed up. There were countless secrets buried under the palace, many of which he himself did not fully understand. But the threat Terra was facing was too great...

"What exactly is it?" he asked.

"It is just a trinket of little consequence, and has no bearing on your father's cause," Trazyn replied nonchalantly. "I promise not to set off any defenses or alarms. After all, we would not want to alert the Emperor while he is busy in his throne room, would we?"

Dorn felt a chill run up his spine at the threat lingering in Trazyn's words.

It knew the Emperor's current state, and knew that if it was forcibly rejected, it might resort to more extreme measures.

Although he was 100% confident that he could annihilate Taraxin on the spot, in the face of a powerful enemy, he would rather have one more ally than one more enemy.

The sound of hurried footsteps outside the strategic room suddenly interrupted Dorn's thoughts. A blood-covered messenger stumbled in.

"Sir!" The messenger knelt on one knee, his voice hoarse, "The front-line reconnaissance ship sent back the latest news! The Chaos main fleet has broken through the outermost defense line! It is expected to enter the Solar Star Region within twelve hours!"

There was an uproar in the command room, and Dorn's expression became even more gloomy.

Time is more urgent than expected.

"There's worse news, my lord." The messenger swallowed hard, "The scout ship reported that it had detected a large-scale subspace fluctuation... They suspected that Chaos was preparing to open a portal directly to the surface of Terra!"

Dorn turned sharply toward Trazyn, his eyes gleaming with determination.

“Can you deploy this Blackstone network right away?”

Trazyn bowed gracefully. "Of course, my dear Primarch. My fleet is already in place, and I only await your approval."

"Louis, what do you think?" Dorn turned his head and looked at Louis Bonaparte, the Primarch of the 11th Legion and asked.

"You are the commander, your orders are my orders," Louis replied.

He took a deep breath and made his decision. "Activate the Blackstone Network immediately," he ordered. "But remember, Trazyn, any act of betrayal will result in the full retaliation of the Imperial Fists."

A hint of a smile seemed to appear on Trazyn's metal face. "A wise choice." It raised the scepter, and the strange object on the top began to spin rapidly. "Let's start this wonderful show."

As the scepter was waved, the holographic projection in the strategy room changed again.

On the outskirts of the Solar Star Region, dozens of black stone obelisks were marked out, and they began to emit deep purple energy pulses. These pulses connected to each other and soon formed a huge spherical network that enveloped the entire Solar Star Region.

"The Blackstone Obelisk will create an anti-warp force field," Trazyn explained, with a scholar's enthusiasm in his voice, "like an impenetrable wall between the real universe and the warp. The demons will have to break through your defenses physically, just like you siege a city in ancient wars."

"Also, the inner space of the Solar Sector will not be affected by the anti-warp force field, and you will not become something strange due to the lack of the warp," Trazyn added.
